Ohio State senior RB Jordan Hall has a "chronic knee problem," according to his head coach Urban Meyer.
This certainly won't help his NFL evaluation. Hall opened the season on a tear as the school's starting running back, but injuries and Carlos Hyde's emergence have turned him into a part time player. He's a good receiving back, but teams hate taking risks on injured players with "chronic injuries." See Chris Polk as an example. Tue, Nov 5, 2013 02:19:00 PM

Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer expects senior RB Jordan Hall to return to the field against Iowa.

Hall is returning from a knee injury and likely won't have a large role. Meyer previously said the senior might have to prove himself on special teams before being inserted into a complementary role with Carlos Hyde.

Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer announced senior RB Jordan Hall returned to practice on Monday.

Meyer added an interesting note, saying Hall will have to be involved with special teams before earning a complementary role with Carlos Hyde in the starting line. Prior to Hyde returning form suspension, Hall had flashed very well as the lead ball carrier. The team had hoped to use him as a slotback before Hyde's suspension.

Ohio State senior RB Jordan Hall is still dealing with a knee injury.

After seeing 64 carries in the first three games, Hall has seen five in the last three weeks, including sitting out against Northwestern. The Buckeyes added Carlos Hyde from suspension, and he looked the like a workhorse runner against the Wildcats. Hall could be used more as a space runner moving forward. The Buckeyes are off this week.

Ohio State coaches say senior RB Jordan Hall will be more prominently involved in future game plans.

Hall accounted for 32-percent of OSU's offensive plays over the first three weeks. He, along with most other prominent players, didn't play much in Week Four's blowout victory over Florida A&M. But Hall received merely a single touch -- a five-yard carry -- in Saturday's victory against Wisconsin. Carlos Hyde's return from suspension has obviously affected Hall's situation, but the coaching staff promises that carries will be more evenly divided going forward. "Jordan Hall has got to be involved," coach Urban Meyer said. "That was a decision we kind of made. We knew it was going to be very hard to run in there the way they play their defensive line. Those are our top two backs, and we are working on that now. So I want to make sure we get Jordan Hall involved." The No. 4 Buckeyes (5-0) travel to No. 16 Northwestern (4-0) on Saturday.

Ohio State senior RB Jordan Hall rushed for 168 yards and three touchdowns on 30 carries in a 52-34 win over Cal.

Hall continues to thrive in the Buckeyes' lead role. He offers some shiftiness in the hole and solid long speed to eat up ground. Kenny Guiton isn't quite the designed runner Braxton Miller is, but Hall certainly compensates.

Ohio State senior RB Jordan Hall rushed for 159 yards and two touchdowns on 21 carries against Buffalo.

Hall has a long injury history but has been effective when on the field. He was slated to play the slotback role for Ohio State prior to Carlos Hyde's suspension, but could hold on to the starting tailback job when Hyde returns. Hall was able to gash the Bulls defense through the middle and made great single step cuts.

Ohio State will use senior Jordan Hall as the school's first string RB.

"Jordan Hall is the best running back on our team right now," head coach Urban Meyer said. "And so he'll have to lose that spot. I'm talking next week, the week after, whenever. He's a tailback at Ohio State. He's earned that right." Hall was expected to play the slotback role, which Percy Harvin made famous. However, with Carlos Hyde suspended for three games, Hall will see plenty of time next to Braxton Miller.

Senior Jordan Hall is expected to play the slotback role for Ohio State.

This position is very important in Urban Meyer's offense, since it was the spot where Percy Harvin shined during his career. Hall's 2012 season was cut short due to a freak foot injury during the preseason, followed by a partially torn PCL two weeks later. He apparently played a similar role in high school.

Ohio State senior RB Jordan Hall has received a fifth year of eligibility from the NCAA after applying for a medical redshirt waiver.

Hall missed a large portion of the 2012 season after missing the first two games following foot surgery and a torn PCL in his right knee, which occurred in October. He was expected to play the Percy Harvin role in Urban Meyer's offense, although Carlos Hyde is expected to remain as the lead ball carrier.

Ohio State senior RB Jordan Hall has been granted a medical redshirt for this season and will return in 2013.

Hall missed the beginning of the season after a foot laceration that required surgery during the offseason. Then, the senior partially tore his PCL and just couldn't "heal well" according to head coach Urban Meyer. Hall was expected to play the versatile Percy Harvin role in the Buckeyes offense.

Ohio State senior RB Jordan Hall re-injured his knee and head coach Urban Meyer said that redshirting for the remainder of the season is a possibility.

Hall has had a rough year. This summer, Hall cut his foot in a freak accident and missed a large portion of preseason camp. Then, after seeing a hefty amount of carries in tow games, Hall injures his knee against Michigan State and has failed to recover since. Meyer had planned to use Hall in a Percy Harvin type role.

Ohio State senior RB Jordan Hall has started to jog but is "not healing well" according to head coach Urban Meyer.

Hall has missed about two weeks with a partial tear of his PCL, and it appears he will miss even more time. The Buckeyes continue to have injuries in their backfield but have leaned on junior Carlos Hyde the past few weeks. Regardless, sophomore quarterback Braxton Miller will draw the defense's attention more than any other ball carrier.

Ohio State senior RB Jordan Hall is listed as week to week with a partial tear of his PCL, and is doubtful for Saturday's game against Nebraska.

Hall stepped in three weeks ago as the starter and head coach urban Meyer has said the senior is lining up in the Percy Harvin role as a hybrid running back and receiver. He missed a couple games early in the season after offseason foot surgery, but Hall has managed 218 rushing yards in just over two games played, on 5.5 yards per carry.

Ohio State senior RB Jordan Hall will not return to Saturday's game against michigan State after suffering a right knee injury.

Hall had six carries for 26 yards and a touchdown to go along with one receptions for ten yards on the day prior to leaving with an injury. This was the first time Hall and fellow running back Carlos Hyde had been healthy at the same time, so it appears the Buckeyes will ride with Hyde for the remainder of the game.
