According to an exclusive Associated Press interview, Texas Tech quarterback Graham Harrell thinks there is a "great chance" coach Mike Leach could leave Texas Tech.

Texas Tech will do everything they can to keep the mad scientist. However, Leach has been exploring his options and appears to have grander visions than coaching out his career in Lubbock. The Auburn job is really the only open coaching position that would be a major step up, so watch this one closely.

Bob Condotta, writer of the Seattle Time's Husky Football Blog, is reporting that a traveler saw Mike Leach on a flight from Las Vegas to Seattle, fueling some speculation that the mad scientist of the Red Raider offense is considering the vacant Washington coaching job.

While this rumor has elements of the Ferris Bueller sighting at 31 Flavors, it is an interesting tidbit to ponder on a December afternoon. For what it's worth, Leach's agent denied the rumor, however he wouldn't be much of an agent if he had said otherwise.

In a game in which senior quarterback for Texas Tech, Graham Harrell, netted the school career-record for yards passing today against Kansas State, the Red Raiders' star quarterback exploded against an out-manned Wildcats' defensive secondary, throwing for 454 yards and six touchdowns.

The Red Raiders rocked KSU to the tune of 626 total yards of offense this afternoon, with Harrell the primary suspect in the Texas Tech passing game. The senior seems to be playing with increased confidence with each game he starts, and is making TT one of the most electric teams in the race for a BCS bowl game halfway through the season.
