Central Michigan announced its nonconference schedule for 2010, and it won't be easy. The Chippewas will have road games against Northwestern, Virginia Tech and Navy.
It would be great to see Dan LeFevour battle this slate; alas, he will be playing on Sundays. Thus a young squad will have to make three difficult trips, and shrewd drafters should consider this before investing in any Chip. Mon, Feb 8, 2010 09:32:00 AM

Rivals.com is reporting that Cincinnati has hired Central Michigan head coach Butch Jones.

This will be the second time in four years that the Bearcats have hired CMU's head coach away.  We can only assume that Jones won't be coaching the Chips during the Chips during the GMAC Bowl vs. Troy on Jan. 6.  The coaching shakeup donwngrades the fantasy value of CMU quarterback Dan LeFevour as well as receivers Antonio Brown and Bryan Anderson.

Central Michigan and Troy will play in the GMAC Bowl in Mobile, Alabama on Jan. 6 at 7 p.m.

Both teams were perfect in conference play.  The Chips are led by quarterback Dan LeFevour and wide receivers Antonio Brown and Bryan Anderson.  Troy will look to counter with quarterback Levi Brown and a balanced ground game.

Central Michigan quaterback Dan LeFevour threw for two touchdowns in a MAC Championship game against Ohio, giving him 148 total touchdowns for his career, a new NCAA record.

He finished the night with 255 yards passing and another 51 rushing.  The record-breaking score came to fellow record breaker WR Bryan Anderson. Both will look to pad their records, presumably in the GMAC Bowl, and make solid options in the bowl challenge.

Central Michigan quarterback Dan LeFevour was near perfect tonight against Ball State, completing 25-of-28 passes for 343 yards and four touchdowns, while adding 60 yards and another score on the ground.

That's 11 scores in two weeks...that ought to win a few fantasy championships.  It may not have been the monstrous year LeFevour owners had hoped for, but its finishing up nicely.

Central Michigan quarterback Dan LeFevour threw for 341 yards and two touchdowns, while rushing for 19 yards and four more scores in tonight's win against Toledo.

"Tim Tebow Light" showed again why he was a top pick in most drafts this season, posting a remarkable third six-score game.  It is safe to say Lefevour learned from his experience at Boston College two weeks ago, and should be a fun start next week against lowly Ball State.

Head coach Butch Jones says that Central Michigan quarterback Dan LeFevour is handling his migraine issues and is good to go against Toledo Wednesday: “He’s practicing and he’s fine. He’s had them (migraines) in the past and has been able to deal with them.”

LeFevour will no doubt be one of our top-rated quarterbacks for week eleven in what should be an offensive showcase against Toledo.

Central Michigan quarterback Dan LeFevour could only post 152 passing yards before migraines forced him to depart Saturday's game with Boston College in the fourth quarter.

Central Michigan was looking forward to making another national statement, but the Eagles had something to say about that. Hopefully LeFevour's migraines subside and he misses no more action.

Central Michigan QB Dan LeFevour struggles against Boston College, throwing for just 152 yards and an interception on 20 completions at Boston College.

The formally undefeated Chippewas didn't muster much of a fight in what could have been a coming out party against a decent opponent.  Expect LeFevour to rebound on November 11th against Toledo.

Central Michigan quarterback Dan LeFevour completed 16 of 22 passes against Bowling Green for 147 yards and two touchdowns.

LeFevour also rushed 22 times for 128 yards.  "Tim Tebow Light" notched his second 100 yard rushing game on the season, improving the Chippewas to 7-1 for the year.  CMU has an interesting matchup with Boston College next week.

Central Michigan quarterback Dan LeFevour has apparently shaken off the loss to Arizona and is looking forward to playing Michigan State this weekend.  "It's always exciting to play a BCS team, in a big stadium with a great atmosphere," LeFevour said. "Michigan State's just an hour away. They'll be a lot of green there, but we'll have some fans too and it should be a lot of fun."

LeFevour and Company struggled last week after flying half-way across the country. With a short bus ride to East Lansing, look for the LeFevour and the Chips offense to rebound.

Central Michigan quarterback Dan LeFevour played in just the opening drive of the spring game on Saturday. He was a perfect 3-of-3 for 22 yards in his short appearance.

After his departure, Ryan Radcliff took the majority of the offensive snaps (13-of-19, 149 yards). Although Radcliff played well, there is no doubt the starter this fall will be the skilled LeFevour.

Central Michigan coach Butch Jones has added Steve Stripling as his associate head coach for defense.

Stripling's defenses have shown an ability to get after the quarterback, and he has worked some real magic with his defensive ends at Michigan State and Michigan in recent years. Look for CMU's defense to show a definite improvement in sacks and turnovers forced.

Central Michigan (8-4) will take on Florida Atlantic (6-6) in the Motor City Bowl.

On paper this looks like a great matchup for Central Michigan and quarterback Dan LeFevour. They are playing close to home and taking on an FAU defense that is giving up nearly 30 points per game.
