Texas senior quarterback Colt McCoy will play his final game in Royal-Memorial Stadium on Saturday night.

After notching 45 total touchdowns in 2008, I'm sure there are a lot of fantasy owners that are a bit disappointed in McCoy's 20 total touchdowns so far this season.  However, this being Colt's final home game, this seems like a great spot for McCoy to pile up some fantasy points.

Texas quarterback Colt McCoy passed for 470 yards and two touchdowns and wide receiver Jordan Shipley had 11 receptions for 273 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's 35-3 victory over UCF.

Shipley's performance was not only a career-high, but also a Texas best, breaking a record set in 1987 - 22 years ago. McCoy's 470 yards was a career-best for the senior and just three yards shy of the school record set by Major Applewhite.

McCoy's numbers might not necessarily be impressive, but his overall on-field performance was calm, cool and collected. The defense was the score-making unit though, causing five total turnovers and returning two interceptions for touchdowns.

Texas coach Mack Brown says that Colt McCoy's bruised thumb has had no effect on the quarterback in practice.

Last week McCoy did most of his damage to the Sooners on the ground, but you can bet he'll want to mix in more of a passing attack against Missouri this Saturday.

Texas quarterback Colt McCoy bruised his thumb in Saturday's game against Oklahoma but says it won't keep him out of action.  "It's sore but it's not going to keep me out," McCoy said. "It's football."

McCoy has only two passing touchdowns in the last two games. With big road games against Missouri and Oklahoma State coming up, he'll need to best those numbers if the Longhorns want to stay undefeated.

Texas coach Mack Brown says there is nothing wrong with quarterback Colt McCoy after two reporters say they saw McCoy walking walking stiff-legged from the Texas athletic facility on Tuesday.

“If he got hurt, it was in the locker room,” Brown said. “He was running around and doing everything he typically does at practice.”  If McCoy is dinged up, we don't expect it to keep him out of the Red River Rivalry game against Oklahoma on Saturday.

After the game, McCoy acknowledged he had been dealing with flu-like symptoms in the week preceeding the game.  This somewhat shaky performance could be due in part to his health.

Texas quarterback Colt McCoy crossed the career passing 10,000-yard mark in Saturday's 59-20 victory over Louisiana-Monroe.  McCoy passed for 317 yards and two touchdowns, including a 78 yard score to Jordan Shipley.

Roommates McCoy and Shipley accounted for 180 of McCoy's 317 yards, and again showed that Shipley will be McCoy's favorite target this season. Rare incompletions and an interception were also shown in the first half, leading to a "dissappointing" 72.4 percent completion percentage, over four points down from last year's amazing 76.7.
