USC quarterback Mark Sanchez describes his decision on whether or not to return for his senior year as "emotionally difficult" as it appears that he received a solid report from the NFL Advisory Board.

Sanchez has spoken with Carson Palmer and it appears he will speak with Matt Leinart in addition to coach Pete Carroll and new USC OC John Morton. Scouts quoted in the Los Angeles Times piece seem to think another year at USC would be a wise move, though the scouts also spoke of the quarterback's impressive Rose Bowl performance and the chance he could go in the first round.

USC quarterback Mark Sanchez is hearing some criticism following a performance against Arizona that was not up to the junior quarterback's standards.

Coach Pete Carroll said Sanchez needs to take fewer chances. While Sanchez has struggled with some fumbles and failed to hit open receivers, Coach Carroll was quick to emphasize that there is no quarterback controversy, and that Sanchez is well ahead of the other Trojan signal callers.

The father and brother of USC quarterback Mark Sanchez met with a representative who is paid by USC to investigate pro prospects and council players with NFL aspirations.

This is not huge news, as Pete Carroll is behind this whole process. And to this point Mark Sanchez has declared his intentions to return next season for his senior campaign. Still, owners in keeper leagues who are relying on Sanchez may want to have a backup plan.

In the largest shutout since 1931, USC quarterback Mark Sanchez became the first Trojans' passer to throw five touchdown passes in a single half of play, this against the Washington State Cougars.

Had head coach Pete Carroll not played with a bit of a compassionate heart against the trouble Cougars, Sanchez likely could have easily broken the USC record for most touchdowns thrown in a single game -- five -- held by Rodney Peete, Carson Palmer, and Matt Leinart.

The USC Trojans got a resounding win today against the Arizona State Sun Devils, but it wasn't due much to the play of starting quarterback, Mark Sanchez. Sanchez, who was hurt last week versus Oregon, struggled to perform against ASU, throwing for 179 yards and a touchdown and three interceptions before being relieved in the third quarter by backup, Mitch Mustain.

Sanchez was awfully hard on himself after the game, noting that he had made bad throws all afternoon long and felt he'd hurt his team more than helped, yet Carroll praised the junior for even getting out on the field and playing at all, describing the USC starter as a "hero" for the way he way he consistently "steps up."

USC starting quarterback Mark Sanchez is looking like he will start this week against Arizona State this Saturday. Sanchez took all of the first team snaps in practice.

If Sanchez goes, he'll officially become the Bionic Man. Two knee injures and he hhasn't missed a start. Like with any injury situation, this is a dealer's choice on whether or not to start Sanchez this week.

Quarterback Mark Sanchez suffered a bone bruise after being hauled down by the back of his jersey in the third quarter against Oregon last Saturday. Head coach Pete Carroll said Sanchez "has a chance to play".

If Sanchez can't go, Mitch Mustain will get the start. On a side note, why do they have the horse collar rule in college football if they are not going to call it?
