A week after rushing 20 times for 101 yards, Wake Forest running back Josh Adams saw just four carries for negative one yard against Navy.
Seriously?  There couldn't be a more frustrating player to own in ACC circles than Adams.  Josh Harris led the rushing attack with 14 rushes for 46 yards, and no Wake running back is worth a roster spot right now. Sun, Oct 10, 2010 12:45:00 PM

Wake Forest running back Josh Adams carried 20 times for 101 yards and a touchdown against Georgia Tech.

Where the hell did this come from?  Adams came in with just 28 carries and 101 yards on the season.  We should all know he is capable of this kind of production, so we can only hope Jim Grobe will give him the ball enough to have a repeat performance.

Wake Forest running backs Josh Adams, Brandon Pendergrass and Kevin Harris combined for 164 yards and four touchdowns on 21 carries in a blowout victory over Presbyterian.

Harris shined on a 47 yard scoring scamper, while Adams showed a burst and shiftiness he hasn't had since injuring a knee two seasons ago.  I'm not buying head coach Jim Grobe's promise to heavily rely on Adams exclusively.  With Ted Stachitas' marginal performance however, it looks like Wake will be a run-first offense. Unfortunately that will involve the quarterback(s) and Devon Brown as well has the running backs.

Wake Forest head coach Jim Grobe told The News and Observer that the staff was "too nice" to running back Josh Adams last season, and that the senior can expect a much heavier workload in 2010.

Grobe went on to say that the Wake offense is now geared as a run-first unit and following the loss of Riley Skinner the team will lean on its veteran back. Adams may be a very nice late-round steal, even in leagues larger than those that feature the ACC.

Kevin Harris will start at running back for Wake Forest when they kickoff the season against Baylor.  However the game will be an audition for Harris, Josh Adams and Brandon Pendergrass to see if one can capture the starting job full-time.

The three should see equal carries in the game, so this is probably not a good week to play a Wake Forest running back.

Wake Forest running back Josh Adams has been cleared to play in this week's contest with Virginia.

Adams could have played if needed last week, but sat out after missing practice time due to minor injuries.

Wake Forest running back Josh Adams did not play Saturday against Duke due to an ankle injury.

Adams did practice during the week and dressed for the game. No word on his status for next week against Virginia.

Josh Adams set a season high of 111 yards rushing on 21 carries in a losing effort by Wake Forest to Miami. The Demon Deacons rushed a season high 52 times for 195 yards and Riley Skinner only passed the ball eight times for 57 yards.

Although Adams was held scoreless and the Deac's lost the game this has got to be encouraging for fantasy owners of Adams especially considering the remaining schedule includes the likes of Duke, Virginia, NC State and Vanderbilt.
