The lone bright spot for the UTEP Miners against Arkansas was playmaking wide receiver Kris Adams who reeled in five passes for 148 yards and a touchdown.
As Trevor Vittatoe goes, so goes Kris Adams. Adams is the favored wide receiver for the Miners and against Rice he caught five passes for 134 yards and all three passing touchdowns.
Although the ground game suffered for the Miners, the aerial attack was still potent with Kris Adams reeling in seven catches for 114 yards and a touchdown.
"Even on a team centered around tailback Donald Buckram, this is at heart a passing, receiver-oriented offense and UTEP will play a bunch of players at the wideout position," Brett Bloomquist of the El Paso Times writes.

Kris Adams only caught six passes from UTEP quarterback Trevor Vittatoe, but three of those six catches went for touchdowns as Adams racked up 111 yards. This is Adams second straight 100 yard receiving game, and more importantly his second straight game with three touchdowns.
UTEP WR Kris Adams caught a 74 yard touchdown pass that accounted for a large portion of his 128 yard day against UCF.
