Next Level Scouting Inc. reports that Texas Tech redshirt sophomore WR Michael Crabtree has informed several staff members of his intention to enter the NFL Draft. Crabtree is expected to hold an on-campus press conference this week.

We are not familiar with the sources that are reporting the information so take it for what it is worth. That said, we would be shocked if Crabtree does not enter the NFL.

Texas Tech wide receiver Michael Crabtree had a pedestrian day against Mississippi in Cotton Bowl on Friday. Crabtree, who appeared to re-injure is right ankle in the first half, and was then poked in the eye, was limited to four catches for 30 yards and a score.

Crabtree has battled left and right ankle injuries since mid-October but still finshed with 97 catches for 1165 yards and 19 scores on the year. In two years Crabtree thrilled fantasy owners with 231 receptions, 3127 yards receiving and 41 touchdowns. Even though Crabtree has not declared his intentions for the NFL draft, we have the feeling this will be the next to last news blurb we do on the fantasy stud.

Texas Tech wide receiver Michael Crabtree won his second straight Biletnikoff Award Thursday night. The Biletnikoff is given to the nation's top wide receiver.

There has been much speculation on whether the two-time winner will go for three or depart for the NFL. Signs point to Crabtree declaring for the NFL draft after the Cotton Bowl.

Standout wide receiver Micheal Crabtree has made his decision regarding whether he will return to Texas Tech for another year or make the jump to the NFL, he's just not telling anyone. "I know, but I'm not ready to say," said Crabtree.

Crabtree says he will make his decision known after the Cotton Bowl on Jan. 2. There is no reason for Crabtree to withhold his decision if he is coming back, I think we can all assume he has decided to enter the NFL draft.

In a press conference on Thursday, Texas Tech wide receiver Michael Crabtree said he's "really not feeling the Cotton Bowl." Obviously Crabtree is disappointed that Tech won't be playing in a BCS bowl game.

A number of factors go into predicting player performance during bowl games; the opponent, the location and last but certainly not least is how much a team wants to be there. Motivation will be a key factor when we complete our bowl previews and player rankings.

The father of Texas Tech wide receiver Michael Crabtree, also named Michael Crabtree, thinks his son is leaning towards entering the NFL draft. Thus the elder Crabtree was surprised to hear his son say that he was planning to return to Lubbock for his junior year in a news conference on Thursday.

Sounds like there's a little communication breakdown in the Crabtree home. If forced to make a prediction we'll defer back to the old saying that father knows best.

Texas Tech football spokesman Chris Cook said wide receiver Michael Crabtree (ankle) should be 100 percent for Tech's upcoming bowl game.

The Red Raiders most likely bowl destination is the Cotton Bowl on Jan. 2nd, giving Crabtree over four weeks to heal.

Texas Tech wide receiver Michael Crabtree missed the second half against Baylor with a right ankle sprain. Crabtree finished with nine catches for 63 yards but was held scoreless for the second straight game.

Crabtree watched the second half with a protective boot on his ankle, but the injury is not expected to impact Crabtree in Tech's bowl game.

After starting the season 10-0, Texas Tech will be on a bye in week 12. The bye will give top fantasy wide receiver Michael Crabtree time to rest a nagging foot/ankle injury.

Crabtree injured the foot/ankle in week eight against Texas A&M and has been seen hobbling on the field at various points the last three weeks. Even so, Crabtree has posted six touchdowns in the last three weeks. Unfortunately many fantasy owners will be without Crabtree and quarterback Graham Harrell this week.

Sophomore standout at wide receiver for the Texas Tech Red Raiders, Michael Crabtree, hasn't seen a 100+ yard receiving day since he put up 109 against the Kansas State Wildcats, but has emerged as a touchdown guru, scoring twice in each of his last four contests played.

Yards, of course, are always nice; yet when a receiver can reach the end zone multiple times in a game, seeing outputs of 60 to 70 yards catching a contest certainly doesn't leave a lot more to be desired.

Head coach Mike Leach was in rare form when asked about Michael Crabtree's ankle on Monday. "Like everybody, they like a little attention," Leach said. "Some people try to get their 15 minutes at once and some try to spread it out."

Crabtree did return to catch two touchdowns after tweaking his ankle on a kickoff return vs. Texas A&M last week. We can only assume he going to play this Saturday vs. Kansas.

Texas Tech wide receiver, Michael Crabtree, finished today's contest with the Texas A&M Aggies with eight catches for 71 yards and two touchdowns, but played for much of the game with a twisted ankle, an injury -- oddly enough -- sustained as Crabtree returned the first kickoff of his collegiate career.

Crabtree looked impressive on the kickoff, returning the kick 50 yards, but hobbled off the field afterward having tweaked his ankle. The injury apparently was not that severe, however, as Crabtree six plays later made his first touchdown grab for the game and continued playing for the remainder of the contest.

With five passes taken for 89 yards and two scores against the Nebraska Cornhuskers, sophomore wide receiver Michael Crabtree of the Texas Tech Red Raiders became the school's all-time career touchdown leader with 32.

ESPN points out as well that quarterback Graham Harrell and Crabtree have now surpassed Josh Fields and Rashaun Woods of Oklahoma State as the most successful pass-catch duo in Big XII history.
