Kansas State quarterback Josh Freeman has decided it is time to move on, and will enter the NFL draft in April. Feeman cited a change in the coaching staff and a high second round grade by the advisory commitee.
Freeman's announcement does not come as a surprise. He has all the physical tools of an NFL quarterback, and his stock probaly won't be any higher than it is right now. Fri, Jan 2, 2009 06:15:00 PM

Neither Kansas State quarterback Josh Freeman nor his family knows whether the junior quarterback will return for his senior season.

Josh Freeman's father, Ron Freeman, expects a decision to be made by the end of this month or early January. Signs point to Freeman departing K-State, though the return of Coach Bill Snyder to the sidelines may sway the quarterback to return.

Kansas State introduced Bill Snyder as its "new" head coach on Monday.

Snyder, Kansas State's all-time leader in coaching victories, will return to the Manhattan sidelines for the first time since his retirement in November of 2005. The coach built many of his teams through the junior college route, and it'll be interesting to see if this philosophy will produce the same results that it did during his first tenure.

Junior quarterback Josh Freeman for the Kansas State Wildcats threw for 279 yards and four touchdowns today versus Iowa State, thereby sending departing head coach Ron Prince out a victor in his final game with KSU.

NFL scouts were at today's game yet again, evaluating the junior's overall talents with bright eyes. With Prince now departing Kansas State, it's hard to imagine that Freeman will return for a senior year with the Wildcats.

Kansas State quarterback Josh Freeman suffered a mild concussion in last Saturday's loss to Nebraska.

After a strong start to the season, Freeman has struggled the last three weeks. Freeman has only thrown two touchdowns passes in that span, and he is suddenly a risky fantasy start against Iowa State.

According to a recent Jeffrey Martin blog (Wichita Eagle and The Kansas City Star), Kansas State quarterback Josh Freeman may be considering early entry into the NFL draft this spring.

Freeman, a junior, has a strong arm and NFL size, making him a prime candidate to leave early. We'll have more potential early entry candidates in the coming weeks.

Kansas State may have lost to the Oklahoma Sooners this afternon, but fantasy owners had to be giddy with the performance by junior quarterback Josh Freeman in the 58-35 loss. On the day, Freeman threw for 479 yards and three touchdowns, but matched that with three interceptions tossed for the game.

Win or lose, Kansas State's junior quarterback continues to put up jaw-dropping numbers week-in and week-out. If only he could get his interceptions under control, Freeman very well might get as much love from fantasy owners as does currently Texas Tech's Graham Harrell.

Usually the proficient passer, KSU quarterback Josh Freeman today showed just how good a scrambler he was, taking 18 rush attempts for 95 yards and four touchdowns against the Texas A&M Aggies, this while also passing for 234 yards.

Say what you will about the fiery junior; he's a fantasy monster, producing solid numbers through the air, and, as he showed today, on the ground as well. Don't forget about his overall touchdown numbers so far for the season, either; he's among the nation's best when in comes to reaching the endzone, with 24 combined touchdowns accumulated to this point in 2008.

Josh Freeman, junior quarterback for the Kansas State Wildcats, came into this weekend's contest with the Texas Tech Red Raiders averaging well over 200 yards passing and nearly three touchdowns in each of the four games KSU had played prior to today, but was held to just 170 yards and a touchdown by Texas Tech in a 58-28 routing by the #7 team in the country.

Freeman look solid in the first quarter, but by the second, looked rattled, misfiring on nine-of-ten passes before heading to the locker room for halftime. On the day, the fiery starter under center finished 13-of-28 passing, just one week after he became KSU's career passer against Louisiana-Lafayette.
