Making his tournament debut, Kyle Reifers withdrew prior to the resumption of the second round of the Waste Management Phoenix Open.
The 32-year-old had one hole left in his second frame when play was suspended on Friday evening for darkness. He did not return to mop-up on Saturday morning. Perhaps at 4-over (total) and the cut line at even, he didn't think he could make up four shots in just the one hole he had remaining. This is pure speculation as no official reason was given for his second mid-tournament WD in 102 career starts -- first one was at the 2008 Wachovia Championship in his adopted hometown of Charlotte, North Carolina. Reifers is not in the published field at next week's AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. Feb 6 - 12:11 PM

Kyle Reifers hopes the fourth time is the charm at this week's Farmers Insurance Open.

The Wake Forest product enters the week with an 0-for-3 Farmers record. He's signed an under-par scorecard just once in six rounds. There is still hope for Reifers as he arrives with cuts made in five (of seven) starts to begin the 2015-16 season. Fantasy gamers should not consider him an elite play by any means, but he is certainly an option when browsing the bargain bin.

Through five starts of his fourth season on the PGA TOUR, Kyle Reifers ranks 45th in the FedExCup standings.

Reifers finished 78th in the FEC standings last season with two top 10s on 31 starts. Those top 10s were separated in time by six months and by 18 starts, with the latest a playoff loss at the opposite-event Barracuda Championship. In-between, he missed 10 36-hole cuts and one 54-hole cut. This season started off promising, with a T6 at the Frys.com Open, but he limped in with an even-par 72. Since, the 32-year-old has missed two cuts (of four) with a best of T43 at the 78-man no-cut CIMB Classic.

Kyle Reifers crafted a bogey-free, 6-under-par 33-33=66 for his second round of the CIMB Classic.

In his tournament debut, Reifers is 8-under 136 at the midpoint, six swings adrift of the 36-hole clubhouse lead. He missed only three (of 14) fairways and three greens in regulation in today's trot around Kuala Lumpur Golf & Country Club. After dropping three birdies going out, he circled an eagle-3 at the third hole and one more birdie at the par-4 sixth. The 32-year-old opened the season with a T6 at Silverado, so he's making some noise right away. He's in his fourth year with a PGA TOUR card, but this is his first exempt from the reshuffle.

Kyle Reifers backed-up to an even-par 36-36=72 in the final round of the Frys.com Open to wrap his fourth appearance at 12-under 276, good for a four-way tie for sixth place.

Playing two groups ahead of the overnight leader Brendan Steele and two adrift to begin Sunday's play, Reifers birdied the par-3 second from 9'7" and the par-4 fourth from 11'7" to join the lead at 14-under. Still in search of his first win on TOUR in his 94th career start, he gave both strokes back with double bogey-7 at the ninth, where it took him five shots to reach the surface. The 32-year-old played his inward half in even as well, exchanging birdies at Nos. 11 and 18, from 12'3", with back-to-back bogeys at 13 and 14 for his final tally. Reifers recorded just two top 10s last season on 31 starts and he's already halfway to matching that total.

Kyle Reifers authored a bogey-free 7-under-par 32-33=65 in the third round of the Fry.com Open to put 12-under 204 on the board, currently T5 and one back of 54-hole clubhouse leaders Andrew Loupe and Kevin Na.

Gamers have been waiting for Reifers to return back to the title hunt since a P2 at the Barracuda Championship back in August. For those not apprised of his playoff loss, a career-best finish in 93 events, his 22 points (Modified Stableford) in the final round was a single-day record, and featured back-to-back eagles and then a third eagle on the 18th to force sudden death. After opening at Silverado Resort in 68-71, the now 32-year-old (October 13th) circled seven on the card, including three straight on Nos. 14-16 to move up 14 spots on the live leaderboard. His Saturday totals show 10 (of 14) fairways and 17 greens in regulation en route to his second consecutive blemish-free round. Thru 54 holes, he's currently first in the field with just one bogey.

Kyle Reifers heads to Norton, Massachusetts, for his first playing of the Deutsche Bank Championship as part of the FedExCup Playoffs and enters the fray ranked 98th in the FEC standings.

Reifers has 16 made cuts on 30 starts to the season with six top 25s, two for top 10s. His season (and career) best came in the second week of August, where he rode three eagles over his last six holes on Sunday to force a two-man playoff at the Barracuda Championship, eventually losing in sudden death to 2012 tournament winner J.J. Henry. The runner-up showing came from out of the blue, as he hadn't cashed a check of any consequence since a T11 the first week of April (Shell Houston Open), a span of 13 events. Twice a Web.com Tour grad (2011, 2014), the 31-year-old ranks 124th on TOUR in birdie average (3.51) and 91st in scoring average. He hasn't competed in the DB Championship during the Playoffs era, but he did tee it up in the 2006 edition, missing the weekend on rounds of 76-75. Reifers missed the cut by two at last week's Barclays.

Kyle Reifers rode a tournament-record 22 points in the final round at the Barracuda Championship to an aggregate 47, and then lost on the second hole of sudden death to J.J. Henry.

Reifers connected for three improbable eagles over his last six holes. In the playoff, the pair exchanged birdies on the first hole of sudden death (par-5 18th) before Henry took the title with eagle from short of the green on the second playing of the hole. Reifers had a mid-range look to extend the playoff, but missed left. He began the day at 25 points (solo 22nd) and 16 points shy. Through 12 holes, he stood at seven points on his loop, hiding a lone bogey with four birdies at Nos. 1, 7, 8 and 11. Reifers raced to the top of affairs with back-to-back eagles at the par-5 13th (from 12'11") and then holed his approach from 89 yards on the 14th for the eagle-2. The 31-year-old wasn't done, however, rolling in a 14-footer from the fringe on 18 for the walk-off eagle-3, his fifth of the week. His consolation is a career-best finish on the PGA TOUR in 90 starts that catapults him to 84th in the FedExCup standings.

Kyle Reifers has 23 points at the halfway point of the Barracuda Championship, just one point off J.J. Henry's 36-hole clubhouse lead.

Reifers tallied 14 points today and concluded his stroll around Montrêux Golf and Country Club with an eagle-3 from 22'1" at the 18th hole. Prior to it, he converted six birdies, two of which ranging 10-18 feet, including a 27-yard hole-out from just in front of the putting surface at the par-4 sixth. The 31-year-old also squared a trio of bogeys, including a three-putt from 48'5" at the par-3 16th hole, but he's in tremendous position to make a run at his first PGA TOUR title. This week's start in Reno is his 90th on the circuit.

Kyle Reifers reeled in a 3-under-par 33-35=68 in today's opening round of the Barbasol Championship, finishing three strokes off the clubhouse lead.

Reifers arrived in Alabama slotted 115th in the FedExCup standings but 104th on the money list, so he's basically one solid week from shoring up his status for 2015-16. Today at Grand National, he hit 14 greens and found four birdies, including a pair from outside 10 feet. His only gaffe occurred at the par-3 17th where he found a greenside bunker off the tee and couldn't scramble, settling for bogey.

Kyle Reifers returns to TPC Deere Run after a two-year recess for this week's John Deere Classic.

After a hot start to the season, collecting six top 30s in his first 15 starts, Reifers has failed to turn that trick in eight starts since. He is 0-for-2 in his career at this venue. The Wake Forest product has his statistical bright spots, including an 83rd-ranked scoring average. It's a tough task to determine when Reifers will snap out of his slump, but this week against a relatively weak field is as good as any for gamers looking to take a risk.

Kyle Reifers wrangled a 5-under-par 35-32=67 in his opening round of the Memorial, finishing three strokes off the clubhouse lead.

Reifers' score matched the low round from the morning wave, but conditions remained ripe for his side of the draw. He converted birdies on half of his scoring chances, including rolls of 22'5", 10'10" and 11'3" at Nos. 1, 4 and 9, respectively. Only a bogey at the par-4 17th thwarted a spotless card. This is his lowest opening aggregate of the season. He's 95th in the FedExCup standings.

Kyle Reifers has local knowledge on his side this week as he preps for the Wells Fargo Championship.

Reifers attended Wake Forest nearby and currently resides in Charlotte. He is 1-for-3 at this event but hasn't cracked the field since 2012. The Wake Forest alum has always flashed upside with 12 top 25s in 78 career starts on the PGA TOUR. Given Reifers' local knowledge and good season form, he should be considered a very active sleeper in many fantasy formats this week.

Kyle Reifers fired a 4-under-par 35-33=68 in the final round of the Valero Texas Open to end his week at even-par 288.

The Wake Forest product circled five birdies to just one bogey on his final look at TPC San Antonio, and he could sneak out the back door with a top-10 finish if results hold. Three of those birdies dropped from between nine and 13 feet. The irons were the key to his success, landing 15 greens in regulation. He is a player to watch at the Shell Houston Open next week, as he tied for 21st there in his last trip back in 2012.

Kyle Reifers returns to the Valero Texas Open for the third time.

The most recent of his ventures was a T50 at TPC San Antonio in 2012, which was the only time that Reifers has played the current venue. He enters the week cold after missing his last three cuts. In fact, he's missed six of his eight cuts in the 2015 portion of the 2014-15 PGA TOUR schedule. The two exceptions were a T21 at Pebble Beach and a T8 at Riviera Country Club on back-to-back weeks.
