Kyle Reifers has local knowledge on his side this week as he preps for the Wells Fargo Championship.
Reifers attended Wake Forest nearby and currently resides in Charlotte. He is 1-for-3 at this event but hasn't cracked the field since 2012. The Wake Forest alum has always flashed upside with 12 top 25s in 78 career starts on the PGA TOUR. Given Reifers' local knowledge and good season form, he should be considered a very active sleeper in many fantasy formats this week. May 13 - 8:54 PM

Kyle Reifers fired a 4-under-par 35-33=68 in the final round of the Valero Texas Open to end his week at even-par 288.

The Wake Forest product circled five birdies to just one bogey on his final look at TPC San Antonio, and he could sneak out the back door with a top-10 finish if results hold. Three of those birdies dropped from between nine and 13 feet. The irons were the key to his success, landing 15 greens in regulation. He is a player to watch at the Shell Houston Open next week, as he tied for 21st there in his last trip back in 2012.

Kyle Reifers returns to the Valero Texas Open for the third time.

The most recent of his ventures was a T50 at TPC San Antonio in 2012, which was the only time that Reifers has played the current venue. He enters the week cold after missing his last three cuts. In fact, he's missed six of his eight cuts in the 2015 portion of the 2014-15 PGA TOUR schedule. The two exceptions were a T21 at Pebble Beach and a T8 at Riviera Country Club on back-to-back weeks.

Kyle Refiers closed out his week at the Northern Trust Open with a final-round 4-under-par 32-35=67 to end the tournament at 4-under 280.

His round featured five birdies to just one bogey at Riviera Country Club, and he finds himself on the bubble for a top-10 finish. He took advantage of each of the three par 5s. He also holed a pair of birdies putts from outside of 20 feet, which always helps turn a good round into a great one. He began the week 91st in the FedExCup standings, but he will make a nice move after this performance. With the next Web.com Tour reshuffle coming at the end of this event, he certainly did his part to ensure a nice number going forward.

Reifers striped nine (of 14) fairways and totaled 15 greens in regulation en route to six birdies at Silverado Resort and Spa's North Course today. Three of his par breakers stretched 12-15 feet. He also swallowed two bogeys, including a three-putt from 55 feet at the par-3 second hole, but this is a worthy first round of the season for the journeyman who will celebrate his 31st birthday on Monday the 13th.

Reifers secured three top-six finishes in the Web.com Tour regular season and added a T4 in the Chiquita Classic. All that adds up to 35th place in the opening reshuffle. The Wake Forest product will turn 31 on October 13th, meaning he is likely entering the peak of his career. He will have some semblance of familiarity on his side, so he could be worth a hard look in deep formats.

Kyle Reifers crafted an 8-under-par 31-33=64 in the second round of the BMW Charity Pro-Am to join Trevor Murphy in the lead at 12-under 132.

He would trade a bogey following a short miss on the par-3 17th with a birdie on the par-4 18th. Turning his attention towards the front nine, he would add birdies on the first, sixth and ninth holes. The Wake Forest product landed an impressive 15 GIR and putted to a 1.467 average. Kyle Reifers fired a 6-under-par 31-34=65 in the first round of the Chitimacha Louisiana Open and joined Ryan Blaum in a share of the lead.

Like Blaum, Reifers also began his round on the 10th hole. The Wake Forest product was without a blemish on the back nine, rolling in four birdies. He added four more birdies on the front nine, but also allowed two bogeys to creep their way onto the card. Ball-striking was a key, as he landed 16 GIR and missed just three fairways, but a 1.50 putting average wasn't too shabby either. All told, he ended the day ranked inside the top three in driving accuracy, GIR, sand saves and putting average. That will play anywhere.

Kyle Reifers submitted a 3-under-par 34-35=69 at Hidden Valley Country Club in Reno, Nev., at today's open qualifier for the Reno-Tahoe Open, two strokes too many to join the playoff for the final berth into the tournament proper.

He opened with an eagle-3 at the first hole and picked up three birdies along the way, but also squared two bogeys. After sneaking his way into the field at Annandale two weeks ago via his spot in the 151-200 range on the 2012 PGA TOUR money list, he tied for fifth to parlay the fortune into a start in Canada where he missed the cut by three. Other notables that failed to qualify for the RTO include: 68--Zack Miller ... 69--Brad Adamonis; Bio Kim; Ken Looper (two-time four-spotter in 2013) ... 70--Andre Stolz; Craig Barlow ... 71--Paul Stankowski; Cliff Kresge; Todd Fischer; Justin Peters ... 72--Marc Turnesa; Andrew Buckle; Zack Fischer (three-time four-spotter in 2013) ... 73--Jonathan Randolph ... 74--Peter Lonard ... 77--Jeff Quinney.

Kyle Reifers has been added to the published field of this week's RBC Canadian Open.

This is quite a little fortnight for the former PGA TOUR member. After a long-shot appearance at the Sanderson Farms Championship, he rallied for a T5. That secured a tee time at Glen Abbey this week via the top 10. Everything at this point is gravy; in fact, it was last week. He's 0-for-2 at the Canadian Open, but hasn't played this week's host track in competition.
