Greg Kraft signed for a 4-over-par 36-38=74 following his opening round of the Wyndham Championship.
Kraft had to pull out of The Greenbrier Classic two weeks ago due to an illness, so that's why he was in our crosshairs today. Barring the best golf of his life on Friday just to make the cut, and then on the weekend, he will not qualify for the FedExCup Playoffs. He's currently 236th in Points. Greg Kraft withdrew on Monday from the Turning Stone Resort Championship.

Kraft was a late withdrawal last week at The Greenbrier Classic due to an illness. The winner of the 2008 Puerto Rico Open is on the last year of the exemption from that win, so either Kraft will need a very sharp turnaround from his horrible play this season or a successful trip through Q-School in the fall to retain his full playing privileges for the 2011 season.

Greg Kraft is listed in the published field of next week's Turning Stone Resort Championship.

Kraft was a late withdrawal at The Greenbrier Classic due to an illness. Only duffer leagues should pay any attention should he stick his peg in the ground in upstate New York on Thursday.

Greg Kraft withdrew from the Greenbrier Classic this morning, citing an illness.

The 46-year-old's T50 in Reno two weeks ago was his best effort of three paydays in 16 starts this year. When he returns, he should be on your short list of duffer options.

Greg Kraft shot a bogey-free, 3-under-par 35-32=67 in his opening round of the St. Jude Classic.

Goodness. Kraft hasn't carded an aggregate 67 or lower since a pair of 65s at the 2008 Texas Open 20 months ago. A taut short game allowed for the strong display today, as he hit just 10 greens and still avoided a big number. Par conversions from 21'5" and 13'6" at the 14th and 17th holes, respectively, saved his round early. Then, he dropped three birdies on his second nine, including a 10-footer at the 3rd, eventually finishing four back of the clubhouse lead. Kraft hadn't competed since withdrawing from Quail Hollow on April 29 due to vertigo.

Greg Kraft is listed in the published field of next week's St. Jude Classic.

The 46-year-old has been off since withdrawing during his opener of the Quail Hollow due to vertigo. He's cashed just once in 12 starts this year (T63, Mayakoba) and has missed six of nine cuts at the St. Jude, where his best finish is a T38 in 2006. The veteran is outstanding duffer league material in Memphis.

Greg Kraft withdrew during his opening round of the Quail Hollow Championship, citing vertigo.

Kraft shot a 7-over-par 43 in his opening nine before calling it quits. He's cashed in just one of 12 starts this year (T63, Mayakoba). He's fully exempt by virtue of his victory in Puerto Rico in 2008, but that two-year exemption expires this year.

Greg Kraft withdrew on Tuesday afternoon from the Zurich Classic.

Kraft earned his week off with a victory at last week's Puerto Rico Open. He has been replaced in the field by Jim McGovern, who is in bit of a slump with consecutive missed cuts.

Greg Kraft carded a final round of 2-under-par 70 to win by one stroke at the inaugural Puerto Rico Open.

Kraft had two birdies on the round and his only bogey came on the last hole, but he had a two stroke advantage at that point. In 1993 Kraft won the Deposit Guaranty Golf Classic, however that was the last year it was an unofficial event on the Tour, so today's win is his first official PGA Tour victory. The Puerto Rico Open is an alternate event to the WGC-CA Championship, so he doesn't get the automatic invitation to the Masters, but he will get an invitation to the Mercedes-Benz Championship and he will receive a two year exemption on the Tour.

Greg Kraft carded a 6-under 66 in the second round of the inaugural Puerto Rico Open.

On the strength of 12 birdies, Kraft is an aggregate 9-under through 36 holes and will make his third paycheck in as many starts this year. Playing on Veteran Member status, he is forced to split his time between the PGA Tour and Nationwide Tour. Only a victory this week would change that in the short-term but a strong finish will go a long way in improving his status in the Beyond 150 reshuffle. Still, it is not advised to invest in guys in that category.

Greg Kraft has been added to the field of the Children's Miracle Network Classic.

Kraft has had an interesting year. He mostly has played on the Nationwide Tour, but during the summer he had three good finishes on the PGA Tour that have him at 179th on the Money List. Kraft got into this week's field thanks to a withdrawal by Tim Polce.
