Chris DiMarco makes his sixth consecutive start at The RSM Classic and does so on a sponsor exemption.
DiMarco is one of six in the 156-man field that's ranked No. 1704 in the Official World Golf Ranking. That's the lowest the OWGR goes this week. In total, there are 10 ranked outside the top 1000 and one unranked player, Davis Love IV, the tournament host's son. The last time DiMarco deposited world-ranking points was for a solo ninth at the 2013 Reno-Tahoe Open. In his last 11 starts on TOUR (spanning two seasons) he's missed 10 cuts and cashed a T78/MDF at the 2014 Puerto Rico Open. The 47-year-old's last start on any tour was in April, 2015 at the Zurich Classic (MC). He's played in each edition of the RSM missing three of five cuts and cashing T88/MDF (2012) and T45 (2010 inaugural). Wed, Nov 18, 2015 10:22:00 AM

Chris DiMarco has been added to the published field of this week's Barracuda Championship. UPDATE: And just like that, he's been removed and will not play.

He started the week no higher than 13th alternate but found a way in following two withdrawals from previous alternates today. DiMarco hasn't cashed in his last eight starts on the PGA TOUR, including last year's Barracuda. He'll turn 47 years of age on the 23rd of August. For most intents and purposes, he's in no-man's land as a touring professional, thus his elevated exposure as a television analyst.

Chris DiMarco has been removed from the published field of this week's Barbasol Championship.

The 46-year-old is 0-for-4 on the PGA TOUR this year, so he won't be missed in fantasy circles, but it's more fun to consider how the Florida Gator may have been received in Auburn country. With no alternates remaining, the field at Grand National stands at 130.

Chris DiMarco received a sponsor exemption to get into this week's Zurich Classic of New Orleans.

DiMarco has made the annual trek to NOLA for 17 straight years now. He's collected three top 10s in that stretch but no top 25s in his last nine visits. DiMarco is 0-for-3 on the season and still searching for his first red number of the season.

Chris DiMarco makes his way back to the Puerto Rico Open for the fifth time.

The Florida Gator has made three of his four cuts at Trump International Golf Club-Puerto Rico, with a T11 in 2011 the best. Playing with only Past Champion status, this is his third start of the 2014-15 PGA TOUR season and first in the 2015 portion of the schedule. He missed the cut in The McGladrey Classic and Sanderson Farms Championship.

Chris DiMarco begins his 2014-15 PGA TOUR season at The McGladrey Classic.

DiMarco has never skipped an edition of this event at Sea Island Resort's Seaside Course, and his loyalty was rewarded with a sponsor exemption this week. He missed the cut last season in what was one of just seven PGA TOUR starts. No longer playing a full schedule, DiMarco's fantasy value is minimal at best. His best finish here in four tries was a T45 in 2010.

Chris DiMarco has been added to the published field of this week's Barracuda Championship.

DiMarco was the third alternate when the field was released on Friday afternoon. He gained entry when 11 were vacated. He missed the cut in Canada where he played on a sponsor exemption. Now 1-for-6 on the season, he could use a spark in the worst way. Despite this record, don't rule out it happening in Reno where he finished alone in ninth place a year ago. That's not only his most recent top 10, it's his latest top 50. He has another three top 25s in five previous appearances at Montrêux dating back to 2000.

Chris DiMarco has been added to the published field of this week's RBC Canadian Open.

He received a sponsor exemption to play after today's wave of withdrawals. DiMarco has supported this tournament over the years -- this will mark his 17th appearance -- but he's managed only one top 20. That was a T9 in 1998 at Glen Abbey. He's cashed just once in five starts this season (T78/MDF, Puerto Rico).

Chris DiMarco has been added to the published field of this week's RBC Heritage.

DiMarco received one of the last two sponsor exemptions into the field of 132. He's survived six of nine cuts at Harbour Town, but managed only one top-35 finish (T14, 2011). Limited to Past Champion status, the three-time winner is just 1-for-3 this season with a T78/MDF in Puerto Rico.

Chris DiMarco is set for his second start of the 2013-14 season at the Humana Challenge.

DiMarco has been relegated to past champion status, so it is at the charity of a sponsor exemption that he finds himself able to compete this week. A 2-over-par performance at The McGladrey Classic resulted in a missed cut in his first start of the season. It's fair to question how he devotes his time at this point of his career, as he also moonlights as a radio host on a new PGA TOUR radio show on Sirius/XM.

Chris DiMarco secured a sponsor exemption for The McGladrey Classic.

It seems like not all that long ago the DiMarco was battling Tiger Woods down to the wire at Augusta National and The Open Championship at Hoylake, but recent performances have relegated him to Past Champion status. The Florida Gator has made three starts in this event, with a T45 in 2010 his best. This is his first start of 2013-14 after making just five of 11 cuts in 2013.

Chris DiMarco netted 10 points in the final round of the Reno-Tahoe Open.

The former Ryder Cupper circled six birdies and squared two bogeys on his lap around Montreux. His best finish of the year prior to this event was a T22 at the Valero Texas Open. His 30 points for the tournament will easily allow him to surpass that.

Chris DiMarco has been added to the published field of this week's John Deere Classic.

He was the fifth alternate when the field was released on Friday afternoon and snuck in today as the last following seven withdrawals. (Two were replaced with sponsor exemptions.) His T8 at last year's JDC remains his best PGA TOUR finish since August of 2007. The three-time PGA TOUR champ is 2-for-6 this season with one top-55 finish (T22, Valero Texas Open).

Chris DiMarco has been added to the published field of this week's Greenbrier Classic.

DiMarco was the ninth alternate when the field was released on Friday afternoon, but he gained entry on a sponsor exemption. He's played in each of three previous edition of this tournament and picked off a T11 in 2011. The veteran has cashed in just two of five starts this year.

Chris DiMarco makes his fifth start of the season at this week’s FedEx St. Jude Classic.

DiMarco’s starts have been limited, playing with only Past Champion status. A T22 at the Valero Texas Open represents his top finish, and he missed the cut in his last start at the HP Byron Nelson. He’s been a regular at TPC Southwind, making his 15th appearance this year with a T2 in 2000 serving as the highlight.
