Zack Sucher readies for a Fourth of July extravaganza this week at The Greenbrier Classic.

The PGA TOUR rookie will be making his course debut at The Old White TPC. He arrives ranked 236th in the FedExCup standings, thanks to a 2-for-12 record thus far. The lone bright spot for the UAB product has been the flat stick, as he's gained 0.266 strokes per round with it. Gamers could go fishing for a sleeper with Sucher and hope his tee-to-green game catches up, but it's really a long shot this week.
Jun 30 - 8:22 AM

Zack Sucher arrives at this week's AT&T Byron Nelson Championship ranked 245th in the FedExCup standings.

The PGA TOUR rookie has earned 0.94 more FEC points than us gamers sitting at home. He grabbed those points with a 73rd-place finish at the Farmers Insurance Open, missing the cut in all eight of his other starts. The UAB product posted six top 10s on the Tour last year and is too talented of a golfer to keep missing cuts at this rate.
May 27 - 7:41 PM

Zack Sucher is in the published field at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans and enters the week 243rd in the FedExCup rankings.

The Tour grad sits 46th on the reshuffle list (next reshuffle occurs at the conclusion of the WGC-Match Play), so he could use a big week in NOLA. The 28-year-old rookie won the Midwest Classic on the Tour (July, 2014) but has made only one cut in eight PGA TOUR events on the season.
Apr 21 - 6:06 PM

Zack Sucher turns his attention towards the Puerto Rico Open for his first look at Trump International Golf Club-Puerto Rico.

The rookie has struggled in 2014-15, missing six of his seven cuts. The only payday came at the Farmers Insurance Open, resulting in a 73rd finish that included three rounds of 76 or higher. It doesn't take a veteran tipster to assess that his chances aren't that good this week.
Mar 3 - 8:23 PM

Zack Sucher has been added to the published field of this week's Farmers Insurance Open.

The PGA TOUR rookie was the third alternate when the field was released on Friday afternoon. There were two withdrawals since, so one of the three that gained entry was given the final sponsor exemption. Sucher started the season 11th in the Tour reshuffle, but plummeted to 49th after going 0-for-5 in the fall. The Farmers will be his first action since Mayakoba in mid-November. He's broken par just twice in his 10 rounds.
Feb 2 - 11:15 AM

Zack Sucher has missed five cuts in as many starts to begin his rookie season on the PGA TOUR.

Sucher has cracked 70 just twice in 10 rounds. He also tried his luck at the Dunlop Phoenix in Japan, but missed that cut as well. Considering he had five top-six finishes on the Tour in 2014, including a win at the Midwest Classic, his start to the new season is a major disappointment.

Zack Sucher will get introduced to El Camaleón Golf Club during this week's OHL Classic at Mayakoba.

The rookie makes his fifth start of the season, but has yet to earn a single FedExCup point. He's missed all four cuts and has signed for round of 73 or worse in four of his eight rounds thus far. The UAB Blazer product racked up six top 10s on the Tour last year, but the success hasn't translated to the big stage. He'll need to make a splash this week to avoid taking a nosedive in the first reshuffle, which occurs at the end of the tournament.

Zack Sucher painted a bogey-free, 4-under-par 33-34=67 on the board in his opening round of the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open.

The PGA TOUR rookie missed the cut at the Open by four shots, so today had to feel really good. It was his first red number in five career rounds on the circuit. He went 5-for-5 in scrambling and converted two birdies on each nine. The set featured runs of 29'9" at the fourth hole and 16'10" at No. 18, both par 4s. He parred all three par 5s, but sits just three strokes back of the clubhouse co-leaders.

Zack Sucher earned his first PGA TOUR card and will have a go at the big leagues during the 2014-15 season.

Sucher got things rolling last season on the Tour as he posted six top 10s, including a win at the Midwest Classic in Overland Park, Kansas. He finished the season ranked fifth in total birdies as well as scrambling. Everything will be brand new for the rookie as he starts at the 11th spot in the opening reshuffle. His only PGA TOUR start prior was at the 2009 John Deere Classic where he missed the cut.

Zack Sucher signed for a 1-over-par 36-36=72 in the final round of the Midwest Classic to secure his first Tour title by three strokes at 19-under 265.

While Sucher's five bogeys outpaced his four birdies at Nicklaus GC at LionsGate on Sunday, he did enough damage during his first three rounds to hold off all comers. The biggest news for the University of Alabama-Birmingham product is what this means for his future. Entering the week 20th on the money list, he now moves to fourth place. With the season quickly nearing completion, he is a lock to become a PGA TOUR rookie in 2014-15.

Zack Sucher spun a 7-under-par 34-30=64 in the third round of the Midwest Classic and carries a three-stroke lead into the final round at 20-under 193.

Sucher added nine birdies to his tally on his third lap around Nicklaus GC at LionsGate, swallowing a double bogey at the par-4 first hole as his only blemish of the day. After contending well into the weekend at the Albertsons Boise Open last week, it's clear that he is bound and determined to figure out a way to earn his first Tour title in the very near future. Entering the week 20th on the money list, a win on Sunday would secure his PGA TOUR card for 2014-15. He would would be a rookie on TOUR next year if he picks up status.

Zack Sucher fired an 8-under-par 33-30=63 in the second round of the Midwest Classic to take a two-stroke lead into the weekend.

Sucher picked up an eagle and eight birdies on his lap around Nicklaus GC at LionsGate, handing back two bogeys in the process. He split 11 of 14 fairways, landed 13 GIR and putted to a 1.462 average. To say he's been hot on the Tour of late is definitely accurate. He spun a 60 in the first round of the Albertsons Boise Open last week to take an early lead and shared the 36-hole lead with Bill Lunde before ultimately finishing in a tie for fourth.

Zack Sucher followed up his first-round 60 at the Albersons Boise Open with a 4-under-par 33-34=67 in round two to share the 36-hole lead with Bill Lunde at 15-under 127.

It would have been impossible for Sucher to match what he did on Thursday at Hillcrest CC, but his six birdies and two bogeys were a solid follow-up effort. His ball-striking actually improved on Friday, splitting every fairway and missing just one GIR. He is tied for fifth in driving accuracy and shares the top spot in GIR for the week. While the putter cooled to a 1.882 average on Friday, if he continues to give himself birdie looks with his hot irons he stands an excellent chance at emerging victorious.

Zack Sucher lit up Hillcrest Country Club for an 11-under-par 29-31=60 in the first round of the Albertsons Boise Open and owns the early lead by two strokes.

Sucher began his day on the back nine and circled five birdies and an eagle while swallowing his lone bogey of the round. He tacked on five more birdies on the front nine before ultimately coming up one-stroke shy of the course-record 59 set by Russell Knox last year. The Scot is one of five to share the all-time record for one round in Tour history. Sucher is the 20th to submit a 60. He landed 15 GIR and his 1.33 putting average was the best of the day. Entering the week 23rd on the Tour money list, he would lock up his PGA TOUR card for next season with a victory this week.
