Prior to the start of the event, Zach Sucher has withdrawn from The Greenbrier Classic, giving Bill Lunder a spot in the field.
Sucher has missed the cut in each of his last four starts, just 3-for-14 on the season. He has started to dabble with some starts on the Web.com Tour, posting a T38 at the Panama Claro Championship in February and missing the cut at the Rex Hospital Open during the first week of June. There is no injury currently published but he'll need to find some form soon if he wants to retain his TOUR card. At the moment, Sucher ranks 220th in the FedExCup standings. Jul 3 - 4:15 PM

World No. 589 Zack Sucher is at TPC River Highlands for his second Travelers Championship and arrives 218th in the FedExCup standings.

The two-time Web.com Tour grad could very well be heading back to the WCT Finals, checking in 3-for-13 on the season with a best of T42 at the opposite-field Sanderson Farms back in late-October. His other two cashes were T49 at the opposite-field Puerto Rico Open and T53 four starts ago at the Valero Texas Open. The UAB product ranks 183rd on TOUR in birdie average (3.06) and 191st in scoring average (72.412), posting two red numbers in his last 10 rounds. This is his second Travelers, missing the cut (by four) in 2015 after rounds of 70-72.

2-time Web.com Tour grad and World No. 507 Zack Sucher prepares for his second Puerto Rico Open and checks in at 210th in the FedExCup standings.

The 30-year-old missed the cut by five on debut in 2015 (75-76). He's made just one cut this season in eight starts, a T42 at the opposite-field Sanderson Farms back in October, and arrives off six straight MCs. The UAB product's most recent start was six weeks ago at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am where he missed the scheduled 54-hole cut (by nine) with rounds of 74-76-74. He began 2016-17 15th on the WCT Priority Ranking and has dropped to 42nd after the second reshuffle of the season (post-Genesis Open) with just 6.922 FEC points.

Zack Sucher is still searching for his breakout season as he enters 2017 positioned in 37th on the Web.com Tour graduate reshuffle.

The UAB product graduated from the Web.com Tour in 2014, but parlayed that into a disappointing 5-for-18 record on the big stage. It's looking like deja vu for the 30-year-old who finished the fall portion of the schedule with a 1-for-5 record (T42, Sanderson Farms). Consistency has never been his niche, but with 12 top 10s in 67 career Web.com Tour starts, he does have more upside than he's shown so far in 24 career starts on the PGA TOUR. At 37th in the reshuffle, starts will not be very easy to come by, so he'll need to make the most of any starts he can find after the holiday break.

Overnight leader Zack Sucher scrounged only three points in today's second round of the Barracuda Championship to post 21 points at the midpoint.

He's just three points adrift of the 36-hole clubhouse co-leaders, but Sucher showed little life today. The rookie went just 2-for-7 in scrambling with five bogeys, including on each of his last three holes. He signed for a 1-over-par 36-37=73, 10 shots higher than Thursday's gem, but thanks to the Modified Stableford scoring system, four birdies netted a positive integer.

Zack Sucher connected for nine birdies en route to 18 points in his opening round of the Barracuda Championship, good for outright possession of the overnight lead.

No need to adjust your device. You read that right. The PGA TOUR rookie authored easily the best round of his career. It's a bogey-free, 9-under-par 32-31=63 for the annals, but only the Modified Stableford scoring system is in play at Montrêux. Sucher landed 16 greens in regulation and actually parred two of the four par 5s. He birdied the other two and found the cup from 12 feet or longer four times. His tape-measure conversion traveled 34'4" at the par-4 fifth hole. As a result, it comes a no surprise that he was leading the field in strokes gained: putting at last check with a clip of 4.828. The 28-year-old entered the week slotted 220th in the FedExCup standings with only four paydays in 16 starts.

Zack Sucher has been granted reentry into this week's RBC Canadian Open.

Sucher was bumped to second alternate when the top 10s from the Barbasol were added, but he was given one of the last two sponsor exemptions into the field of 156. The PGA TOUR rookie is a mere 4-for-15 this season, but he cashed in his last two starts. That includes a last-place 80th at Grand National.

Zack Sucher readies for a Fourth of July extravaganza this week at The Greenbrier Classic.

The PGA TOUR rookie will be making his course debut at The Old White TPC. He arrives ranked 236th in the FedExCup standings, thanks to a 2-for-12 record thus far. The lone bright spot for the UAB product has been the flat stick, as he's gained 0.266 strokes per round with it. Gamers could go fishing for a sleeper with Sucher and hope his tee-to-green game catches up, but it's really a long shot this week.

Zack Sucher arrives at this week's AT&T Byron Nelson Championship ranked 245th in the FedExCup standings.

The PGA TOUR rookie has earned 0.94 more FEC points than us gamers sitting at home. He grabbed those points with a 73rd-place finish at the Farmers Insurance Open, missing the cut in all eight of his other starts. The UAB product posted six top 10s on the Web.com Tour last year and is too talented of a golfer to keep missing cuts at this rate.

Zack Sucher is in the published field at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans and enters the week 243rd in the FedExCup rankings.

The Web.com Tour grad sits 46th on the reshuffle list (next reshuffle occurs at the conclusion of the WGC-Match Play), so he could use a big week in NOLA. The 28-year-old rookie won the Midwest Classic on the Web.com Tour (July, 2014) but has made only one cut in eight PGA TOUR events on the season.

Zack Sucher turns his attention towards the Puerto Rico Open for his first look at Trump International Golf Club-Puerto Rico.

The rookie has struggled in 2014-15, missing six of his seven cuts. The only payday came at the Farmers Insurance Open, resulting in a 73rd finish that included three rounds of 76 or higher. It doesn't take a veteran tipster to assess that his chances aren't that good this week.

Zack Sucher has been added to the published field of this week's Farmers Insurance Open.

The PGA TOUR rookie was the third alternate when the field was released on Friday afternoon. There were two withdrawals since, so one of the three that gained entry was given the final sponsor exemption. Sucher started the season 11th in the Web.com Tour reshuffle, but plummeted to 49th after going 0-for-5 in the fall. The Farmers will be his first action since Mayakoba in mid-November. He's broken par just twice in his 10 rounds.

Zack Sucher has missed five cuts in as many starts to begin his rookie season on the PGA TOUR.

Sucher has cracked 70 just twice in 10 rounds. He also tried his luck at the Dunlop Phoenix in Japan, but missed that cut as well. Considering he had five top-six finishes on the Web.com Tour in 2014, including a win at the Midwest Classic, his start to the new season is a major disappointment.

Zack Sucher will get introduced to El Camaleón Golf Club during this week's OHL Classic at Mayakoba.

The rookie makes his fifth start of the season, but has yet to earn a single FedExCup point. He's missed all four cuts and has signed for round of 73 or worse in four of his eight rounds thus far. The UAB Blazer product racked up six top 10s on the Web.com Tour last year, but the success hasn't translated to the big stage. He'll need to make a splash this week to avoid taking a nosedive in the first reshuffle, which occurs at the end of the tournament.

Zack Sucher painted a bogey-free, 4-under-par 33-34=67 on the board in his opening round of the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open.

The PGA TOUR rookie missed the cut at the Frys.com Open by four shots, so today had to feel really good. It was his first red number in five career rounds on the circuit. He went 5-for-5 in scrambling and converted two birdies on each nine. The set featured runs of 29'9" at the fourth hole and 16'10" at No. 18, both par 4s. He parred all three par 5s, but sits just three strokes back of the clubhouse co-leaders.
