World No. 1841 Garrett Willis withdrew during round two of the John Deere Classic.
The 42-year-old got into the field as an alternate and was 3-over thru nine holes, 7-over total, when he called it quits. No reason has been provided thus far. Garrett Willis has taken a spot in this week's Barbasol Championship.

This tournament is shaping up to be a reunion as well. Willis, who was no higher than 11th alternate before 11 withdrawals today, hasn't played the PGA TOUR since missing the cut at the 2013 Sanderson Farms Championship. He lost the last shred of his elevated status following the 2012 season, but he's forever in the pecking order for winning the Tucson Open in his membership debut in 2001.

Garrett Willis has been added to the published field of this week's McGladrey Classic.

Willis was the first alternate when the field was released on Friday afternoon. He gained entry due to a trio of withdrawals this morning. He tied for 69th at last week's Open, his fifth payday in 13 starts on conditional status this year. He ranks 210th on the money list. The one-time PGA TOUR winner missed the cut in his debut at last year's McGladrey.

Garrett Willis carded a 4-under-par 34-33=67 in his opening round of the Open, finishing two strokes adrift of the clubhouse lead.

Willis started last year's first appearance at CordeValle with a 67 as well before going to place T15, which remains his most recent top 20. He's a mere 4-for-12 this year and ranks 211th on the money list, so he has considerable work to do in the Fall Series to retain any status. In today's loop, he split 11 (of 14) fairways and hit 12 greens en route to six birdies, the longest of which measuring just 11'6" at the ninth hole.

Garrett Willis tied for 15th in the 2011 Open, and looks to build on that in this season’s edition.

Willis needs to get something done fast, as he has failed to make a cut since April and sits 211th on the money list. When you look at his stats, it isn’t hard to understand why he’s struggling. While he doesn’t have enough rounds under his best to officially count in the standing, he would rank outside of 150th in both GIR and Strokes Gained-Putting. When you aren’t hitting many greens and fail to hole the putts when you do find a green, it can be a little tricky to post red figures.

Garrett Willis has been added to the published field of this week's RBC Canadian Open.

Willis started the week as the fifth alternate. He gained entry with this morning's wave of withdrawals. He posted a season-best T21 at last week's True South Classic, which was just his tenth start of the year due to conditional status. He's currently 202nd in FedExCup points.

Garrett Willis turned in a bogey-free, 6-under-par 32-34=66 for his opening round of the True South Classic, finishing two strokes off the clubhouse lead.

Willis split 12 (of 14) fairways and hit 14 greens in regulation, burying six birdies along the way, the longest of which just 6'4" at the seventh hole. He arrived at Annandale having cashed in just three of nine starts, a scheduled limited by conditional status. He's yet to post a top 35.

Garrett Willis carded a 6-under-par 34-32=66 at the Cobb Course at The Resort at Glade Springs in Daniels, W. Va. in today's open qualifier for The Greenbrier Classic.

Willis shared medalist honors with five others to force a rare 6-for-4 playoff. In addition to the PGA TOUR winner, former TOUR member Chris Wilson (33-33) survived, as did another former TOUR member Jon Mills (33-33) and Michael Maness (33-33). Ryan Blaum (33-33) and Christopher Ross (33-33) were eliminated. The field at The Old White TPC is now set at 156.

Garrett Willis, playing on conditional status, is in the field at this week's HP Byron Nelson Championship.

Willis has cashed in three of his five starts this year, with his best finish being a T37 at the Mayakoba Golf Classic. He missed the cut in last year's trip to the TPC Four Seasons. While his ball-striking hasn't been impressive, he'd rank ninth in Strokes Gained-Putting if he logged enough rounds to qualify.

Garrett Willis has been added to the published field of this week's Transitions Championship.

Willis was given a sponsor exemption into the tournament. He lives nearby in Dade City, Fla. In this even on a sponsor invite in 2010, he held the outright lead after 18 holes, but eventually faded to finish T72/MDF. He recovered with a T15 last year. Now on conditional status, he's 2-for-3 this season with zero top 35s.

Garrett Willis chased his opening 67 at the Open with a 2-under-par 33-36=69, arriving at the halfway mark two strokes off the 36-hole clubhouse lead.

Once again, Willis flashed a taut short game, suffering just one bogey despite missing six greens. Overall, he's missed 11 GIR but incurred only two bogeys. He buried three birdies today, including a conversion of 52'1" at the sixth hole. He was the first to sign his card today with two rounds in the 60s.

Garrett Willis turned in a 4-under-par 34-33=67 in his opening round of the Open, good for a share of the clubhouse lead.

Willis is the third to shoot 67 today and first from the afternoon wave. He hit only 12 greens but absorbed just one bogey (18th hole). He sandwiched it with five birdies including conversions of 14'2" and 10'2" at the 13th and ninth holes, respectively. He opened last week's stop in Vegas with a 65 but faded to finish T34. The bright side is that he climbed four spot on the money list to 137th with the payday.

Garrett Willis carded a 6-under-par 32-33=65 in his opening round of the Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children Open, becoming the ninth to sign for that number, one off the clubhouse lead.

Willis has been an enigma this year. Despite fully-exempt status, he's made only 20 starts but never took more than two straight weeks off until he failed to qualify for the FedExCup Playoffs. He's posted four top 25s and entered the Fall Series ranked 141st in earnings. At TPC Summerlin today, he hit 13 greens and took only 25 putts, but put on a show with his 14th club. Not wasting any time, he buried his first birdie look of the day at the 10th hole from 21'11". He then added birdies of 15'8", 23'7", 21'10" and 39'7" at the 14th, 16th, 18th and sixth holes, respectively.

Garrett Willis withdrew on Monday from the Zurich Classic of New Orleans.

Willis played well last week at The Heritage, and despite a third round of 3-over-par 74, he still was able to finish in a tie for ninth place.

Eighteen-hole leader, Garrett Willis, chased his opening 64 with a 2-under-par 34-35=69 in the second round of the Heritage, finishing off back of Luke Donald's 36-hole pace.

Willis hit three fewer greens today (12) and still required two more putts (28) as compared to his opener, but he co-leads the field in birdies with 13. Of his four today, the most notable occurred at the 13th and sixth holes, where his attempts of 19'3" and 27'6", respectively, found the bottom of the cup.
