Emiliano Grillo and Anirban Lahiri have been chosen as captain's picks for the International side for the upcoming Presidents Cup.
Nick Price, the captain for the International team, said his two picks were unanimous decisions amongst him and his assistant captains. Lahiri made his Presidents Cup debut in 2015 where he posted an 0-3-0 record. He is also much more experienced in terms of facing off against PGA TOUR golfers, playing most of his golf on the European Tour previously. For the second pick, Emiliano Grillo will be making his Presidents Cup debut. The Argentine was the 2016 Rookie of the Year and currently sits at 62nd in the FedExCup race with two events remaining in the FEC Playoffs. The International team will be trying to win for the first time since 1998. Wed, Sep 6, 2017 05:36:00 PM

PGA TOUR commissioner Tim Finchem announced this afternoon that Hall of Famer Nick Price will return as captain of the International team for the 2015 Presidents Cup in Incheon, South Korea.

The 11th edition of the biennial competition will be contested in Asia for the first time. Jack Nicklaus Golf Club Korea will host on Oct. 8-11. Price, 57, made his debut as captain at Nicklaus' home course of Muirfield Village Golf Club last October, suffering an 18½-15½ defeat. He competed in each of the first five Presidents Cups, including the Internationals' only win at Royal Melbourne in Australia in 1998. Although born in South Africa, Price represents Zimbabwe-then-Rhodesia. He promptly dubbed 44-year-old South Korean K.J. Choi as his first vice captain. The eight-time PGA TOUR winner went 6-8-0 in three appearances in the event.

The press conference was held this week since Muirfield Village will host the biennial competition on Oct. 3-6 of next year. Price went 8-11-4 in five appearances from 1994-2003. "Ever since playing in the inaugural Presidents Cup in 1994, it has been an event that has meant so much to me," said Price, who replaced Greg Norman as skipper, "and I have looked forward to the opportunity of captaining what I know will be a very strong International team."

Nick Price withdrew from the Mayakoba Golf Classic prior to his second round today, citing a stomach ailment.

The 55-year-old Hall of Famer was scheduled to go off the first tee at 11:10 a.m. local time. He opened the tournament with a nifty 69, hitting a field-tying-high 16 greens and circling three birdies to settle three strokes back of the overnight lead. Given that Price is not a regular on the PGA TOUR, we will leave him off our Injury Report.

Nick Price has elected to exhaust a career earnings exemption in 2011.

According to the report filed by Doug Ferguson of the Associated Press, Price wants to remain on form during the holes in the schedule on the Champions Tour. By no means is the Hall of Famer expected to play much, as he's likely only to tee it up at venues that suit his game. He's currently 28th in all-time earnings.

Nick Price (-4) sits in a tie for 5th after the first round.

Price had a decent round going and made it even better by dropping in his second shot on 18 for an eagle. Price has had alot of success at this event so seeing him in contention should come as no surprise.
