On Wednesday morning, Mike Heinen withdrew from the Viking Classic.

Heinen gained entry into the field on Monday during the first wave of withdrawals. He has been replaced in the field by Dick Mast.

Mike Heinen was added on Monday morning to the field of the Viking Classic.

Heinen started the week as the eighth alternate into this week's Viking Classic. So far this season he has only teed it up at the Nationwide Tour's Chitimacha Louisiana Open, where he missed the cut.

Mike Heinen on Monday morning was added to the field of the Valero Texas Open.

Heinen has mostly played on the Nationwide Tour this season and his only made cut is a T-61 at the Panama Digicel Championship. His best finish at the Texas Open was in 2003, when he tied for 17th place.

Heinen has one start on the Nationwide Tour this season and he finished in a tie for 61st place at the Panama Digicel Championship. He did play last season at the Puerto Rico Open, but he failed to make the cut.

It's been a brutal year for Heinen, with his last made cut on the Nationwide Tour being 11 starts ago at the Louisiana Open and he has missed all six of his cuts on the PGA Tour this season.

Mike Heinen carded a round of 6-under-par 66 at the Windyke Country Club-East to Monday qualify for the Stanford St. Jude Championship.

Heinen has split time between the PGA and Nationwide Tours this season. His best finish at TPC Southwind is a T-19 in 2002.
