Justin Bolli has been removed from the published field of this week's RBC Canadian Open.
Non-winners buried in the conditional status category are challenged throughout the year. Bolli is no exception. He's 0-for-4 on the PGA TOUR but just 158th on the Web.com Tour money list with a mere $9,003. He'll try and pad that total at this week's Midwest Classic. NOTE: Jason Gore also withdrew as an alternate. He's also scheduled to compete in the Web.com Tour event. Jul 21 - 11:28 AM

Justin Bolli accepted the call up to the PGA TOUR for the Travelers Championship this week.

While Bolli has conditional PGA TOUR status, he has turned down the opportunity to play the HP Byron Nelson Championship and the FedEx St. Jude Classic in favor of Web.com Tour starts. It's likely that he felt his best shot at 2014-15 PGA TOUR status was by devoting himself to the Web.com Tour. Perhaps he's now resigned himself to needing a Hail Mary at TPC River Highlands. Considering he's missed each of his four cuts at this event, chances aren't good.

Justin Bolli has been added to the published field of this week's AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am.

Bolli was the first alternate when the field was released on Friday afternoon. He gained entry following two withdrawals today. He's the last man inside the bubble for conditional status on the PGA TOUR, and hasn't played anywhere since going 0-for-3 during the Web.com Tour Finals. He'll be fortunate to nab 10 starts this season, and that's only if he doesn't elect to commit fully to the Web.com Tour.

Justin Bolli finished the 2013 PGA TOUR season ranked 150th in the FedExCup standings.

That's significant because he was the last man to earn conditional status on the 2013-14 PGA TOUR via the 126-150 category. Starts will be a considerable challenge for Bolli this season, but the key will be getting into the right tournaments. He made just six cuts in 23 events last season, but seriously contended with a T4 in Puerto Rico and a fourth at the HP Byron Nelson Championship. The Byron Nelson was the last time he made the cut in a stroke-play event on the PGA TOUR.

Justin Bolli will defend his Web.com Tour Championship at Dye's Valley Course this week.

Bolli's title in 2012 came at TPC Craig Ranch, and secured his 2013 PGA TOUR card. He needs a similar effort this week in Florida if he is to be fully exempt on the 2013-14 PGA TOUR. Form isn't on his side, as he failed to break par while missing the cut at the Chiquita Classic and the Hotel Fitness Championship. The last time he made the cut in a stroke play event was his solo fourth at the HP Byron Nelson Championship in May.

Justin Bolli spun a bogey-free opening round en route to 12 points at the Reno-Tahoe Open.

Bolli was in the first threesome off the 10th tee at Montreux Golf and Country Club today. After penciling in eight pars to start his round, he holed five birdies over his last 10 holes to post the low round from today's late draw. He started the week ranked 143rd in FedExCup points and 127th in earnings despite just five paydays in 21 starts. That's how far a pair of fourth-place finishes can go. Bolli signed his card sitting four points off the clubhouse lead.

Justin Bolli takes on TPC Deere Run for the fourth time at the John Deere Classic.

Bolli tied for 20th here in 2005, but missed the cut in 2008 and 2010. His 2013 season has been equally hit-or-miss. He’s made just five cuts, but twice finished fourth. Since his solo fourth at the HP Byron Nelson, he’s gone on a slide and missed his last six cuts. He did close out The Greenbrier Classic with a second-round 4-under-par 66, so perhaps he found something at The Old White TPC.

Justin Bolli signed for a bogey-free 5-under-par 32-33=65 in the final round of the HP Byron Nelson Championship to take the lead in the clubhouse at 9-under 271.

On a day where the wind has been a major factor, Bolli's round currently is the lowest of the day. Three of his five birdies came from longer than 17 feet, including one from just off the green on the par-4 10th. The ball-strking was a challenge, splitting just five (of 14) fairways and landing eight GIR, but the putter continually propped him up when needed. Prior to today, his only top 30 was a tie for fourth in Puerto Rico. While it's unlikely that his final tally will net him a win, there are only four players on the course that sit ahead of him with some tough holes to go.

Justin Bolli spun a 2-under-par 35-33=68 in the third round of the HP Byron Nelson Championship, improving to 4-under 206 for the tournament.

Bolli has put together three consecutive rounds in the 60s, opening with back-to-back 69s. He landed 16 GIR in the round and picked up over a stroke on the field with the flat stick. Three of his four birdies fell from outside of 10 feet. He is chasing just his second top 30 of the season in Sunday's finale, which is supposed to be heavily impacted by wind.

Justin Bolli lapped Harbour Town in his opening round of the RBC Heritage in 3-under-par 35-33=68.

Bolli hit 12 greens in regulation and carded only eight pars in what was his first competitive round in this tournament. He started on 1 and would circle five birdies by the 14th, including respective conversions from 21'8", 11'4" and 16'10" at the sixth, seventh and 12th holes. However, he was merely 1-under as he strode to the 15th due to four bogeys. After piping his drive and laying to 123 yards at the par 5, he jarred his third for eagle. After three closing pars, he signed his card sitting three off the overnight lead.

Justin Bolli has been added to the published field of this week's Shell Houston Open.

Bolli was the fourth alternate when the field was released on Friday afternoon, but he gained entry on a sponsor exemption today. If it weren't for a T4 in Puerto Rico, his latest return to the PGA TOUR would be an early failure given his only other payday in five starts was a T51 at the Farmers. He's 1-for-2 at Redstone's Tournament Course with a solo 72nd in 2008.

Justin Bolli has been added to the field of this week's Tampa Bay Championship.

The PGA TOUR's media department reported this. Bolli was second alternate when the field was released on Friday afternoon, but he played his way in via a top 10 in Puerto Rico. He'll be making his first appearance at Copperhead.

Justin Bolli spun a 6-under-par 31-35=66 in the final round of the Puerto Rico Open to take control of the lead in the clubhouse at 18-under 270.

Bolli opened with five birdies in his first eight holes, soaring up the leaderboard. He stubbed his toe with two bogeys on a four-hole stretch starting with the 11th. Fortunately, a birdie at the 13th began to offset that and he ended the day with a birdie-birdie finish on the 17th and 18th holes. His previous best PGA TOUR finish was a T5 back in 2008, and it looks a safe bet that he will surpass that. He will now wait and watch to see if his number is good enough to sneak into a playoff or win outright. Regardless, he will now have the opportunity to play in the Tampa Bay Championship, where is was listed as an alternate.

Justin Bolli continued to climb the leaderboard at the Puerto Rico Open with a 4-under-par 34-34=68 in the third round.

Bolli is making his 81st start in a PGA TOUR event, but has only one top 10 to show for his time on the big stage. At 12-under 204, he has an excellent opportunity to double that number in Sunday's finale. He enjoyed five birdies to just one bogey in Saturday's round, failing to birdie either par 5 on the back nine.

Justin Bolli shot a 5-under-par 35-32=67 in his opening round of the Puerto Rico Open, settling two strokes off the pace of the clubhouse co-leaders.

Bolli has not performed anywhere close to how he polished off his victory at the 2012 Web.com Tour Championship to earn status on the 2013 PGA TOUR. His only payday in four starts was a T51 at Torrey Pines. Maybe he just needed a limited-field affair to find some confidence. After beginning today's round par-par-bogey, he circled six birdies against no bogeys. Interestingly, he parred all five par 5s at Trump International.
