Darron Stiles entered the 2015-16 season slotted 41st in the Tour priority rankings and nudged to 39th with five FedExCup points thus far on three starts, including missed cuts in each of his last two events.
Stiles is the all-time money leader on the Tour with $2,115,221 on 339 events. He has 98 career top 25s, 54 for top 10s, and 18 podium finishes, including five wins. Those five W's however, are spread over 13 years --which means he spends a lot of time there -- with the most recent in 2012. The five-time grad also missed the cut in 43 percent of his starts on the junior circuit. On the PGA TOUR, this season marks the 42-year-old's sixth foray into the big leagues, first since 2013, where he has three top 10s on 140 career events, missing 80 cuts, or 57 percent of his starts. Darron Stiles contests his fifth Sanderson Farms Championship but first at the Country Club of Jackson.

Stiles finished 20th last season on the Tour's regular-season money list to earn back his playing privileges on the big stage. The now five-time Tour grad made 16 cuts on 24 starts with seven top 25s, three for top 10s, including a season-best solo second at the Digital Ally Open in early August. Stiles played in each of the four Final's events, making one cut and finishing solo 55th at the Tour Championship, all told good for 41st in the priority rankings. The 42-year-old has not played the PGA TOUR since the 2013 season, where he cashed five times on 20 starts and finished 188th in the FedExCup standings. That season was also his last visit (of four) to the SFC (Annandale GC), where he posted a personal-best T54.

Darron Stiles makes his 19th start of the 2014 Tour season at the News Sentinel Open.

Stiles is a five-time winner on the Tour, with his victory at the 2012 News Sentinel Open standing as his most recent. He also has the dubious distinction of being the all-time leading money winner on the junior circuit, with $1,876,765 racked up over the course of 309 starts. He has had several cups of coffee on the PGA TOUR, amassing 137 starts with three top 10s in the big leagues. Needless to say, he's the prototypical Quadruple-A player.

Darron Stiles is set to play in the Wyndham Championship, rather than defend his title at the News Sentinel Open on the Tour.

It’s a bit of a no-brainer but, at 186th in the FedExCup standings and this final start remaining to secure his PGA TOUR card, an argument could be made that going back-to-back at the NSO would put him closer to a 2013-14 PGA TOUR card than an average week in Greensboro. He enters the week having missed his last two cuts, but has a T32 at Sedgefield in 2009 on the ledger.

Darron Stiles makes his 132nd PGA TOUR start at The Greenbrier Classic.

The veteran has missed his last six of those cuts, securing just three paychecks in 14 starts for the season. Despite splitting 64.68 percent of his fairways this season, he’s landed only 61.27 GIR. With not much going his way, it’s best to wait for some semblance of steady form before considering him an option in any format.

Darron Stiles has been added to the published field of this week's Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial.

Stiles was the first alternate when the field was released on Friday afternoon. He gained entry thanks to the first two withdrawals this morning. The soon-to-be 40-year-old (June 1) has never played Colonial CC in competition. He could use a good week as he arrives ranked 160th in FedExCup points and having missed his last three cuts.

Darron Stiles is set for his second trip to Charlotte for the Wells Fargo Championship.

Stiles missed the cut in his first venture to Quail Hollow way back in 2003. While he’s made just three of nine cuts in 2013, he’s managed to convert two of those into top 25s. As a resident of North Carolina, expect him to be highly motivated to pick up a nice finish.

Darron Stiles spun a 7-under-par 32-32=64 in the second round of the Chitimacha Louisiana Open to take a one-stroke lead over Arjun Atwal at 11-under 131.

It's not a surprise to see Stiles tearing up a Tour event at the 36-hole mark given he has the dubious distinction of being the Tour's career money leader with $1,827,808. His second round featured eight birdies to just one bogey, including birdies on each of the four par 5s. He's back on the PGA TOUR this season, recently finishing tied for 13th at The Honda Classic. The five-time Tour winner is simply continuing his recent PGA TOUR form in this week's stop in Louisiana. Time will tell if he can close the deal on a sixth win.

Darron Stiles had quite the colorful scorecard in route to a 2-under-par 33-35=68 in the third round of The Honda Classic.

He opened up hot, with an eagle on the par-5 third followed by consecutive birdies on four and five. He then squared bogeys on the sixth, seventh and eights holes before ending his front nine at PGA National with a birdie. The back nine was a bit calmer, with a bogey on the 10th and a birdie on the 16th the only marks coming to the clubhouse. At the time of his posting, his 3-under 207 didn't look all that special. As the scores keep coming in high in the afternoon it's getting better by the minute.

At 5-under-par 66, Darron Stiles shared first place in today's open qualifier for The Honda Classic.

Stiles rose to 10th alternate into the tournament proper at last check, but he survived yet another loaded OQ, this time at Mayacoo Lakes Country Club in West Palm Beach, Fla. Vaughn Taylor, who is playing on conditional status this season, also turned in a 66. Joining them atop the leaderboard were Wales' Jamie Donaldson and Sweden's Alexander Noren, both of whom competed in last week's WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship. Eight golfers shot 67 to finish one stroke too high. The field at PGA National is now complete at 144.

Darron Stiles carded a 7-under-par 33-32=65 at La Quinta Country Club in his second round of the Humana Challenge.

The Tour grad holed two eagles en route to an opening 66 at PGA West's Palmer Private on Thursday. Today he erased one bogey with eight birdies to reach the midpoint in 13-under 131, one stroke back of the 36-hole clubhouse lead. He'll take on Nicklaus Private in his third round. The 39-year-old journeyman has only three top 10s in 118 PGA TOUR starts.

Darron Stiles claimed the News Sentinel Open Presented by Pilot with an 18-under-par 67-66-66-67=266 to finish one clear of Scott Gardiner, D.J. Brigman and Nicholas Thompson.

Already the all-time leading money winner on the Tour, Stiles' win moves his 2012 earnings to $200,911 and virtually assures him a 2013 PGA TOUR card. The win was his fifth and marks the second time he's won this event, the first coming in 2002. His most recent Tour win came in 2006 at the Rheem Classic. For the week, he led the field with 26.3 putts per round.

Darron Stiles carded a round of 5-under-par 67 at the Forest Oaks Country Club to qualify for the Wyndham Championship.

Nathan Stamey held medalist honors at today's four-spotter at 7-under 65, which included seven birdies and a bogey on his first nine; he started on the 10th hole. The last two spots in the Wyndham field went to Nyasha Mauchaza and Savio Nazareth, both of whom matched Stiles' 67.

Darron Stiles posted a second round of round of 6-under-par 65, and at the halfway point of the second round, leads by three-strokes at the John Deere Classic.

Stiles started on the back nine and he had fallen out of the lead after an opening nine of 1-under-par. He opened the front nine with back-to-back birdies and found himself in a tie for the lead with Steve Stricker. Stiles then went on a run of three birdies in-a-row starting at the 5th hole to pull away from Stricker by three-strokes. The current schedule calls for the field to be cut tonight to the nearest number to 60 players and then to play two rounds on Sunday.

Darron Stiles played TPC Deere Run to the tune of nine birdies in his opening round of 7-under-par 32-32=64 at the John Deere Classic.

Who didn't see THIS coming? With one payday in 11 starts and no rounds under par in nearly two months, Stiles was inside everyone's top-5 of least likely to shoot in the 60s this week, much less a 64. He missed just one fairway, but hit a mediocre 12 GIR. That he took just 23 putts was the key, but by no means is he a recommendation in daily leagues. Yet, it is a fact that he'll share the overnight lead.
