Steve LeBrun scorched TPC Deere Run for a bogey-free 7-under-par 31-33=64 in the final round of the John Deere Classic and is the first to post 14-under 270.

The rookie's round was a career best, eclipsing his 65 in Puerto Rico by two strokes. He circled eight birdies, including three in his first four holes and a run of five in six holes beginning with the par-4 ninth. His only bogey of the day was a three putt on the par-4 18th. The ball-striking carried him. He missed just one fairway and two GIR on the afternoon. With plenty of guys still on the course, it's likely he won't even end up inside the top 10. Entering the week at 158th in the FedExCup standings, every point is crucial if he hopes to retain his 2013-14 PGA TOUR card.

Steve LeBrun has been added to the published field of this week's AT&T National.

LeBrun was the first alternate when the field was released on Friday afternoon, but he gained entry as one of the last four sponsor exemptions. The PGA TOUR rookie took last week off, a highly suspicious decision given he's well outside the bubble for the FedExCup Playoffs. If an injury or personal matter didn't prevent him from committing to the Travelers Championship, perhaps he just needed to recharge his batteries. Since a tidy run of three top 25s in four starts ending in late April, he's missed four consecutive cuts.

Steve LeBrun will make start lucky number 13 of the 2013 season at the Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial.

LeBrun is coming off back-to-back missed cuts, but before that he had a four-tournament run that included three top 25s. When everything is added up, he sits 147th in the FedExCup standing, meaning there’s plenty of work to do if he is to earn a seat at the Playoff table and retain the card he earned at Q School.

Steve LeBrun stumbled to an even-par 36-35=71 in the third round of the RBC Heritage and finds himself in a tie for sixth at 6-under 207 entering the final round.

The 36-hole co-leader looked solid early, with birdies on two of his first seven holes. He struggled in the middle of his round with three consecutive bogeys beginning with the eighth, but rebounded to birdie the 12th and 15th holes. A final bogey at the par-3 17th leaves him five behind Charley Hoffman entering the finale.

Steve LeBrun backed up his opening 68 at the RBC Heritage with another in his second round to reach the halfway point in 6-under 136, worthy of a share of the 36-hole clubhouse lead.

LeBrun turned in respective nines of 35 and 33 in challenging conditions today. He hit 13 greens for the second consecutive round and offset two bogeys with three birdies. His par breakers including conversions of 15'2" and 27'4" at the second and 10th holes, respectively, but he'd like to have back a fanned 32-inch par save that failed to drop at 4.

Steve LeBrun carded a 3-under-par 33-35=68 in his opening round of the RBC Heritage.

The rookie hit 13 greens in regulation and swallowed only one bogey while picking off four birdies in today's debut at Harbour Town. His most notable par breaker was a zero-putt eight-yarder at the par-3 14th hole. He was the last of 16 golfers to reach the clubhouse three shots off Brian Davis' overnight lead. A total of 22 golfers are inside the top 10 after one round. Expect overall scoring to take a substantial hit on Friday after the leading edge of a cold front will bring winds gusting 25-35 mph.

Steve LeBrun has been added to the published field of this week's RBC Heritage.

LeBrun was the first alternate when the field was released on Friday afternoon. He gained entry due to two withdrawals. The rookie is 3-for-8 this season, but has played just twice since the conclusion of the West Coast Swing due to plummeting in the reshuffle.

Steve LeBrun finds himself right in the thick of things at the Puerto Rico Open after signing for a 2-under-par 37-33=70 in the third round to reach 14-under 202.

LeBrun limped out of the gates and was 2-over through 12 holes. That makes sense, given he's only made two cuts on the PGA TOUR and never found a top 25. That he bounced back to birdie four of his final six, and each of his final three, holes is impressive. He will have a chance to turn his first top 25 into his first win in Sunday's final round at Trump International Golf Club-Puerto Rico.

Steve LeBrun followed his opening 67 at the Puerto Rico Open with a 7-under-par 32-33=65.

Save a bogey-5 at the seventh hole today, LeBrun put on a clinic at Trump International Golf Club-Puerto Rico. After an eagle-3 at 2, he added six birdies to reach the midpoint in 12-under 132, two swings back of the 36-hole clubhouse lead.

Steve LeBrun posted a 5-under-par 34-33=67 in the opening round of the Puerto Rico Open.

The 2012 Q School grad and 2013 PGA TOUR rookie went 1-for-6 on the West Coast Swing with a T84 at the Farmers Insurance Open to plummet in the graduate reshuffle. As a result, Puerto Rico very well could be his only start on the Florida Swing. He's made the most of it thus far, holing six birdies against one bogey. LeBrun is two strokes back of the clubhouse co-leaders.

Steve LeBrun has been added to the published field of this week's Northern Trust Open.

The rookie was the fifth alternate when the field was released on Friday afternoon, but he was given the last of four sponsor exemptions available today. He needs a big week to prevent plummeting in the reshuffle. In his first five events, he's cashed only once and that was for a T84 at Torrey Pines.

Steve LeBrun has been added to the published field of this week's Waste Management Phoenix Open.

LeBrun was the fourth alternate when the field was released on Friday afternoon, and then rose to first after three withdrawals early on Monday. He gained entry on a sponsor exemption. The rookie is coming off a T84 at the Farmers Insurance Open, his first payday in three starts this season.

Steve LeBrun earned his way onto the PGA TOUR via Q School, but heads to the Humana Challenge with nothing in his wallet after missing the cut at the Sony Open.

The rookie got his bearings, as evident by a second-round 3-under-par 67 to pull to even-par 140, but it wasn’t enough to secure a weekend tee time at Waialae. Having earned his TOUR card in the California desert just weeks ago, a return trip could be just what the doctor ordered. Worth noting, he was 4-over through his first eight holes at Sony before finishing his final 28 holes in 4-under. That could point to a case of front-nine jitters in his first TOUR start as a member.

Steve LeBrun spun a bogey-free, 8-under-par 33-31=64 in his opening round of the final stage of Q School to establish a one-stroke lead at the six-round event.

The 34-year-old converted eight birdies on PGA West's Stadium Course, but only one on the set of four par 5s. He's 0-for-3 at the final stage of Q School (2003, 2008, 2011) and finished 56th on the Web.com Tour money list this year. Notables lurking after 18 holes at PGA West include Kris Blanks (65), Alexandre Rocha (65), Edward Loar (65), Robert Karlsson (66), Richard H. Lee (66), Erik Compton (67), Morgan Hoffmann (67) and Lee Williams (67). Among the notables that failed to break par today include: 73--Patrick Cantlay; Tim Petrovic; Brian Stuard; Cliff Kresge; Steven Bowditch; Tag Ridings; Todd Demsey ... 74--Arjun Atwal; Kelly Kraft; Alex Prugh; Adam Hadwin; Matt Hill ... 75--D.J. Trahan; Paul Stankowski; Kevin Tway ... 78--Scott Brown.
