Parker McLachlin has been added to the published field of this week's Sanderson Farms Championship.
McLachlin wasn't among the top-10 alternates when the field was released on Friday afternoon, but he gained entry as one since he's a former PGA TOUR winner. Since losing his PGA TOUR card following the 2010 season (that he ended going 0-for-9), he's missed six consecutive cuts and hasn't competed since last year's Reno-Tahoe Open. Parker McLachlin was added to the published field of this week's Sony Open in Hawaii.

The native Hawaiian was given the final sponsor exemption into the field. He's 2-for-6 at the event with a T10 in 2008. McLachlin has Past Champion status on the PGA TOUR and isn't worth a fantasy investment. One other change in the field: Peter Tomasulo withdrew as the first alternate.

Parker McLachlin signed for a 6-over-par 38-40=78 following his opening round of the WNB Golf Classic.

This is McLachlin's first competition round since withdrawing from the Reno-Tahoe Open on July 16, and since he and his wife became parents on August 11. Overall, he exhibited expected rust, hitting seven (of 14) fairways, nine greens and took a whopping 32 putts. His return to the PGA TOUR is unknown.

Parker McLachlin is listed in the published field of next week's WNB Golf Classic on the Nationwide Tour.

McLachlin still hasn't competed since withdrawing from the Reno-Tahoe Open on July 16, updated his web site or Twitter. His wife delivered the couple's first child on August 11. We'll continue to keep an eye on him.

Parker McLachlin has been removed from the field for the Utah Championship on the Nationwide Tour.

The sabbatical lives another week. He hasn't tweeted or updated his web site in quite a while, so we can only assume that he's busy catering to the needs of his wife and newborn girl. McLachlin hasn't played anywhere since withdrawing from the Reno-Tahoe Open on July 16.

Parker McLachlin is listed in the published field of next week's Utah Championship on the Nationwide Tour.

McLachlin became a father for the first time on August 11, and hasn't played anywhere since. He's cashed in just four of 15 starts on the PGA TOUR this year, and has dealt with a recurring wrist injury. His fully-exempt status for winning in Reno in 2008 expires at the end of this season.

The Honolulu Star-Advertiser has confirmed that Parker McLachlin's wife, Kristy, has given birth to the couple's first child.

Kristy delivered a girl on August 11. Parker last teed it up in Reno, where he withdrew before his second round (July 16). Barring a series of top fives in the Fall Series, he will require a trip to Q School to retain his PGA TOUR card.

The Herald-Dispatch included a brief note in an article today that Parker McLachlin's wife, Kristy, will be delivering the couple's first child any day now.

Kristy's pregnancy might also explain why her husband withdrew before his second round of the Reno-Tahoe Open on July 16. McLachlin's web site does not provide any detail.

On Monday afternoon, Parker McLachlin withdrew form the field of The Greenbrier Classic.

The withdrawal isn't a surprise after McLachlin withdrew a couple of weeks ago after opening with a round of 81 at the Reno-Tahoe Open. McLachlin is currently in 220th place on the PGA Tour's Money List.

Parker McLachlin is listed in the published field of next week's Greenbrier Classic.

We still don't know why McLachlin called it quits after his opening 81 at last week's Reno-Tahoe Open. He battled a wrist injury earlier in the year, however. And it's been a brutal season during which he has zero top 50s of four paydays in 15 starts. Superb duffer league material if he gives it a go in West Virginia.

Parker McLachlin withdrew prior to his second round today at the Reno-Tahoe Open.

McLachlin opened with a 9-over-par 40-41=81 on Thursday. He was scheduled to tee off today at 1:04 p.m. local time, and did not provide a reason for pulling out. He won this event in 2008, and his exemption from that victory expires this year. It's likely that he's already submitted his Q School application since he's cashed just four times in 15 starts, earning a mere $53,291.

Parker McLachlin shot 2-under-par 73-69=142 at the U.S. Open sectional qualifier at Canoe Brook CC in Summit, New Jersey today, and failed to earn one of the four berths at stake.

McLachlin lost a 2-for-1 playoff to Jon Curran for the final spot, and becomes the first alternate from this site. Blaine Peffley was the medalist at 6-under 138. Dan McCarthy (140) and Jim Herman (141) also qualified. Notables that failed to advance including Len Mattiace (144); Jim McGovern (146); world's top-ranked amateur, Peter Uihlein (154) and Andrew Giuliani (159).

Parker McLachlin signed for a 3-under-par 33-34=67 following his opening round of the HP Byron Nelson Championship.

The last time we saw the one-time winner, he called it quits due to a wrist injury before his second round at Quail Hollow, where he opened with an 88. He closed out his opening 67 in Irving this morning after sitting at 2-under through 14 holes when darkness suspended play on Thursday. It's his lowest aggregate since he began the Waste Management Phoenix Open with the same score. He went to place T53, which is his best finish in 10 starts this season.

Parker McLachlin is in the published field of next week's HP Byron Nelson Championship.

This will be McLachlin's first start since a wrist injury bumped him from the Quail Hollow Championship after one round. He's cashed in just three of 10 starts this season, none of which for a top 50.
