Jason Pridie has agreed to a contract with SK Wyverns of the Korea Baseball Organization.
Pridie appeared in just two games at the major league level in 2014, striking out twice in four at-bats. He was better off heading to Korea than having to settle for a non-guaranteed minor league contract. Dec 15 - 12:36 PM

Jason Pridie has elected free agency.

Pridie was outrighted off the Rockies' 40-man roster in August. The outfielder appeared in one game with the club in 2014, hitting .278/.341/.433 with 28 steals at Triple-A Colorado Springs. He should catch on with a more outfield-needy club this offseason.
Oct 11 - 9:42 PM

Rockies sent OF Jason Pridie outright to Triple-A Colorado Springs.

He'll remain in the organization after clearing waivers. Pridie was only up with the Rockies long enough to accumulate four at-bats.
Aug 10 - 8:31 AM

Rockies designated OF Jason Pridie for assignment.

Pridie was only in the majors for a handful of days, tallying one hit and two strikeouts in four at-bats. The 30-year-old outfielder will likely pass through waivers.
Aug 6 - 5:54 PM

Rockies purchased the contract of OF Jason Pridie from Triple-A Colorado Springs.

Pridie could have opted-out of his contract last month, chose not to, and had an option to do so again coming up on August 15. The 30-year-old slashed .275/.331/.426 with 10 home runs, 43 RBI, and 22 stolen bases over 87 games with Colorado's Triple-A affiliate. He won't play enough -- or well enough -- to merit fantasy consideration.
Aug 2 - 5:14 PM

Jason Pridie will not exercise the opt-out clause in his minor league contract with the Rockies.

Pridie will have another chance to opt-out on August 15. The 30-year-old is batting .288/.352/.454 with eight home runs, 32 RBI, and 20 stolen bases over 61 games this season with Colorado's Triple-A affiliate.
Jul 1 - 12:55 PM

Rockies reassigned OFs Jason Pridie and Tim Wheeler to minor league camp.

No surprises here. Pridie hit really well this spring but never stood a chance of claiming a roster spot.
Mar 27 - 1:36 PM

Jason Pridie went 4-for-4 with a walk, double, run scored, and an RBI against the Padres on Monday.

Pridie had been hitless in the Cactus League since a 3-for-3 day against the Athletics on March 8. Despite the strong effort, there is no room for Pridie in a crowded Rockies outfield, so he'll start at Triple-A.
Mar 17 - 7:02 PM

Rockies signed OF Jason Pridie to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training.

Pridie was non-tendered by the Orioles earlier this month. He's a .228/.302/.371 career hitter in the majors and will serve as organizational outfield depth for the Rockies, who just traded Dexter Fowler to the Astros.

Orioles non-tendered OF Jason Pridie.

Pridie isn't eligible for arbitration yet, but the O's preferred to open up a spot on their 40-man roster. The 30-year-old has batted just .228/.302/.371 over parts of five major league seasons.

Orioles signed OF Jason Pridie to a minor league contract.

Pridie hit a very respectable .298/.356/.455 with five homers and 22 RBI in 49 games for Triple-A Lehigh Valley in 2012, after missing the first 50 games of the season due to a drug related suspension. He'll compete for a reserve outfielder role during spring training.

Sun, Jul 22, 2012 10:56:00 AM

Jason Pridie drove in all three of the Phillies runs in Sunday's 4-3 loss to the Braves.

Starting in place of a pouting Shane Victorino, Pridie took Jair Jurrjens deep for a two-run homer in the second before doubling home another run in the fourth. With today being his first start since being recalled from Triple-A Lehigh Valley on June 30, Pridie isn't yet worth a look in deeper NL-only leagues.
