Pridie batted .300 during his short stint with the club, but he wasn't playing much and is no longer needed off the bench with Laynce Nix back.

Jason Pridie drove in all three of the Phillies runs in Sunday's 4-3 loss to the Braves.

Starting in place of a pouting Shane Victorino, Pridie took Jair Jurrjens deep for a two-run homer in the second before doubling home another run in the fourth. With today being his first start since being recalled from Triple-A Lehigh Valley on June 30, Pridie isn't yet worth a look in deeper NL-only leagues.

Phillies purchased the contract of OF Jason Pridie from Triple-A Lehigh Valley.

Pridie signed a minor league contract with the Phillies earlier this month after getting released by the A's. He will function as outfield and bench depth.

Phillies signed OF Jason Pridie to a minor league contract.

Pridie hasn't played a game yet this year after serving a 50-game suspension in the minors for testing positive for a drug of abuse. He'll report to Triple-A Lehigh Valley.

Athletics released OF Jason Pridie.

Pridie asked the Athletics for his release and the team granted his request. The 28-year-old signed a minor league deal with Oakland over the winter, but hasn't played at all this season after testing positive for a drug of abuse.

Athletics reassigned Jason Pridie to minor league camp.

Pridie was suspended 50 games last week for testing positive for a "drug of abuse." The 28-year-old outfielder will serve that punishment in the Athletics' minor league system, likely at Triple-A Sacramento.

John Shea of the San Francisco Chronicle reports that Jason Pridie has been suspended 50 games for violating Minor League Baseball's drug program.

Well, that will effectively end his chances at earning an Opening Day bench spot. It's not clear at this point what Pridie tested positive for. The 28-year-old batted .231/.309/.370 with four homers and 20 RBI over 236 plate appearances with the Mets last season.

Athletics signed OF Jason Pridie to a minor league contract.

We suspect the contract includes an invite to spring training. Pridie, 28, batted .231/.309/.370 with four homers and 20 RBI over 236 plate appearances with the Mets this season. He'll try to win a spot on the A's Opening Day roster as a reserve outfielder.

Mets sent OF Jason Pridie outright to Triple-A Buffalo.

Pridie is expected to elect free agency. The 28-year-old batted .231/.309/.370 over 101 games for the Mets this season. He'll be able to catch on somewhere with a minor league deal.

Jason Pridie went 0-for-4 and struck out three times as the Mets' No. 2 hitter on Thursday.

Pridie had a nice little run while Angel Pagan was sidelined last month, but he's returned to his usual form now and what at-bats he's getting really should go to Scott Hairston.

Jason Pridie hit a go-ahead three-run homer in Friday's win over the Dodgers.

The Mets called up Pridie mostly because of his defense in center field, but he already has three home runs over his first 37 at-bats. We're not counting on many more of them, but he should continue to see most of the time in center field while Angel Pagan is on the disabled list.

Mets purchased the contract of OF Jason Pridie from Triple-A Buffalo.

He is in the Mets' Friday evening lineup, starting in center field and batting eighth. The corresponding roster move is expected to be the placement of Angel Pagan (side) on the 15-day disabled list. 27 years old, Pridie has just four major-league at-bats under his belt, all of which came in 2008 as a member of the Twins.

Jason Pridie has been sidelined since Wednesday due to a right hamstring injury.

The outfielder said they're "just being cautious," but it's definitely a concern since he had nagging issues with the same hamstring last season. Pridie is unlikely to be a member of the Opening Day roster.
