Jordan Danks (knee) is available off the bench for Thursday's game.

Danks was scratched from Tuesday's lineup with right knee soreness, but he's feeling much better. "There's a little fluid in the knee, but there's no pain at all. Really, it's just kind of range of motion," said Danks. "We tried to drain it [Wednesday] and it was a little too thick. It's just whenever I'm ready to run again."

Jordan Danks was scratched from the White Sox starting lineup on Tuesday because of right knee soreness.

Danks was slated to start in center field Tuesday night against the Rangers. DeWayne Wise is in that spot now.

White Sox recalled OF Jordan Danks from Triple-A Charlotte.

He'll take the roster spot of Deunte Heath, who was optioned to the minors after Tuesday's game. Danks batted .224 (15-for-67) with one homer and a .564 OPS in his first taste of the majors last season and will serve as a backup outfielder.

White Sox optioned OF Jordan Danks to Triple-A Charlotte.

Danks dealt with an elbow injury for a chunk of camp but hit well when healthy, batting .351. It still wasn't enough to win a roster spot, though. He'll serve as depth at Triple-A for the Palehose.

Jordan Danks (elbow) is hoping to return to spring training games this weekend.

Danks resumed throwing this week after sitting idle for a bit with a mild right elbow strain. The 26-year-old outfielder is competing for an Opening Day bench job.

Chicago will add a pitcher to the active roster prior to Monday's game. The club will recall Danks on September 1. Danks posted a .621 OPS over 51 plate appearances for the White Sox.

Jordan Danks launched the first home run of his MLB career, giving the White Sox a walk-off 4-3 victory over the Athletics on Tuesday.

Danks finished the night 1-for-4, but that one hit was certainly memorable. It came off Pat Neshek after the first two had been retired to start the bottom of the ninth inning. On the season, Danks is hitting .265 with three RBI in a reserve role for the White Sox, and he holds no fantasy value at this time.

According to MLB.com's Scott Merkin, Jordan Danks could remain with the White Sox for the remainder of the 2012 season.

The White Sox designated Kosuke Fukudome for assignment Friday, and Danks has the ability to secure a reserve role and backup at all three outfield spots. The 25-year-old is hitting .385 in 11 games since being promoted earlier this month.

Jordan Danks picked up the first hit of his major league career in Friday's loss to the Astros.

It's a night that the younger brother of White Sox starter John Danks will never forget. He entered midway through the game after Dayan Viciedo left with tightness in both of his hamstrings. In his first major league at-bat, he grounded out to first base. Then leading off the eighth inning, after fighting off a pair of two-strike offerings from Wesley Wright, he lined a single into left field. Danks is likely with the big club on an interim basis and isn't a factor in fantasy leagues. But it was a nice night.

White Sox purchased the contract of OF Jordan Danks from Triple-A Charlotte.

Danks will provide depth in the Chicago outfield over the next few weeks while Kosuke Fukudome recovers from a back injury. The younger brother of John Danks doesn't have a great track record of production in the minor leagues, but he's been raking this season to the tune of a .934 OPS and is regarded as an excellent defender. He may have some value in AL-only fantasy leagues.
