Klesko was right to argue the called third strike, and he was on his way back to the dugout by the time Mark Carlson tossed him. We'll side with the player on this one.

Ryan Klesko had a two-run homer Tuesday to give San Francisco the only runs it would manage all night.

His first homer since Juen 4. Klekso is hitting behind Barry Bonds now, but that's not working out for him, and he had far more success when the Giants let him bat second and third. Maybe Bruce Bochy will figure that out soon.

Ryan Klesko is back in the lineup for Sunday's game after missing two days with a sore lower back.

Klesko is batting sixth, as the Giants have tried to shake up their lineup today. Ray Durham is hitting third in front of Barry Bonds and Bengie Molina is in the fifth spot. Klesko is second on the team with a .405 OBP, so keeping him ahead of Bonds makes all kinds of sense.

Ryan Klesko hit a three-run homer off Jon Lieber to break the game open for the Giants in Monday's victory.

Klesko's back may make him day-to-day for the foreseeable future, but the Giants can't help but play him when he's available. As suspected, he's proven to be a significantly superior option to Rich Aurilia as a first baseman against right-handers. He's batting .383/.383/.477 this season, giving him more than 230 points of OPS on Aurilia. Aurilia is at .233/.276/.451 overall and .218/.279/.277 versus righties.

Ryan Klesko aggravated his chronically sore lower-back prior to Tuesday's game and he hasn't been available the past two games.

"If I get some meds, maybe within a day or two, I'll be able to pinch-hit," Klesko said. "They're probably not going to be real patient with me because Ray (Durham) is hurt." Klesko had an appointment to see a doctor on Wednesday.
