Dylan Hernandez of the Los Angeles Times reports that the Dodgers have signed reliever Jamey Wright to a one-year deal.

No word yet on the terms involved, but he's likely to land his first major league contract since 2005. Wright, 39, posted a 3.09 ERA and 65/23 K/BB ratio over 70 innings of work with the Rays this past season. He previously pitched with the Dodgers in 2012.

FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal reports that Jamey Wright has narrowed his choices down to the Rays and Dodgers.

Wright apparently likes familiarity, as those are the last two teams he's pitched for. The 39-year-old hasn't signed a major league contract since 2005 but should get one this winter after posting a 3.40 ERA across 132 appearances over the last two seasons.

Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reports that the Dodgers are interested in bringing back Jamey Wright.

Wright pitched well for the Dodgers in 2012, posting a 3.72 ERA in 66 appearances, before signing with the Rays last winter. The 39-year-old makes for a solid middle relief option who can generate tons of ground balls.

Bill Chastain of MLB.com believes that the Rays could have interest in retaining free agent Jamey Wright.

That's provided that the 38-year-old right-hander even wants to continue pitching. He was a tremendous value for the Rays this season, earning just $900,000 while posting a 3.09 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 65/23 K/BB ratio over 70 innings of work.

Jamey Wright allowed one run on three hits over 1 2/3 innings in a loss Sunday against Oakland.

He gave up two walks and had one strikeout. Wright was making his first start since 2007 and predictably struggled, forcing the Rays to go through six relievers in a losing effort. He'll move back to the bullpen with Matt Moore set to rejoin the Rays on Tuesday.

Jamey Wright will start for the Rays in Sunday afternoon's series finale against the Athletics.

Wright owns a solid 2.97 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 50/20 K/BB ratio in 57 2/3 innings this season, but he hasn't pitched more than three frames in a single appearance and probably won't be able to go very long against the A's. He's not a recommended fantasy streamer.

Rays purchased the contract of RHP Jamey Wright from Triple-A Durham.

Wright posted a 3.72 ERA, 1.51 WHIP and 54/30 K/BB ratio in 67 2/3 innings last summer for the Dodgers. He'll work the middle innings as a groundball specialist.

Jamey Wright has won a spot in the Rays' bullpen.

Wright has a knack for making teams on minor league deals, so we never should have doubted him. The 38-year-old right-hander posted a 6.30 ERA and 3/3 K/BB ratio over 10 innings this spring and will operate in middle relief.

Wright posted a 3.72 ERA, 1.51 WHIP and 54/30 K/BB ratio in 67 2/3 innings last summer for the Dodgers. The 38-year-old will probably open 2013 at Triple-A Durham.

Dodgers purchased the contract of RHP Jamey Wright.

The Dodgers cleared a spot on the 40-man roster by moving right-hander Blake Hawksworth to the 60-day disabled list. Wright, 37, has earned a spot in the Dodgers' bullpen by allowing three runs over 9 1/3 innings (2.89 ERA) this spring.

Jamey Wright has been told that he will make the Dodgers' Opening Day roster

Wright, a non-roster invitee, has allowed two earned runs over 8 1/3 innings this spring. He is expected to make a $900,000 salary. The 37-year-old posted a 3.16 ERA and 48/30 K/BB ratio over 68 1/3 innings last year and figures to pitch in middle relief.

Jamey Wright pitched two perfect innings in Wednesday's start against Seattle.

The 37-year-old is trying to earn a major league roster spot. After three shaky outings earlier this month, he has looked better recently. Wright now sports a 2.57 ERA and 1.57 WHIP through seven innings.

Dodgers signed RHP Jamey Wright to a minor league contract.

The agreement comes with an invitation to major league spring training, where Wright will attempt to land a spot in the Dodgers' Opening Day bullpen. He registered a decent 3.16 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 48/30 K/BB ratio across 68 1/3 innings of relief last season for the Mariners.

Mariners manager Eric Wedge said that he will use Jamey Wright in a potential save situation Saturday.

Wright hasn't taken over the closer role, but Wedge understandably wants to give the struggling Brandon League a day off to regroup mentally. Still, the veteran right-hander is worth stashing if you're on the search for saves. He has a 1.96 ERA and 13/7 K/BB ratio over his first 18 1/3 innings of work this season.
