Hairston left Saturday's game after tweaking his groin. The utility player said at the time that he could have stayed in the game, but it sounds like he hasn't recovered as quickly as hoped. The Dodgers should have an update on his status soon.

Major League Baseball handed Jerry Hairston, Jr. a one-game suspension for his role in Thursday's bench-clearing brawl with the Padres.

Hairston has appealed. Despite not appearing in Thursday's game, the veteran utility man was ejected for darting toward the Padres' dugout after order had been restored on the field. Hairston is off to a poor start on the field as well, as he's just 1-for-8 with zero RBI.

Jerry Hairston, Jr. was ejected from Thursday's game against the Padres for his involvement in a benches-clearing brawl.

The initial confrontation began when Zack Greinke hit Carlos Quentin with a pitch, but just when it appeared that order was restored, Hairston darted toward the Padres' dugout. He wasn't playing in the game at the time of his ejection.
