Ryan Anderson allowed three runs on four hits in three innings yesterday in his fourth appearance for Single-A Brevard County.

He struck out five and walked none, so it wasn't all bad. He's given up just the three runs and struck out 14 in eight innings for Brevard County.

Ryan Anderson struck out five in 2 2/3 scoreless innings yesterday in his third appearance for Single-A Brevard County.

We weren't planning on writing up every one of Anderson's appearances, but what he's doing is pretty exciting. He's given up two hits, walked one and struck out nine in five scoreless innings so far.

Pitching in a game for the first time since 2000, Ryan Anderson struck out two in a perfect inning for Single-A Brevard County yesterday.

If Anderson is really throwing 93-94 mph, it wouldn't be too much of a surprise to see him surface in the Milwaukee pen during the second half of the season.

Brewers purchased the contract of LHP Ryan Anderson from the Surprise Fightin’ Falcons of the Golden Baseball League and assigned him to Single-A Brevard County.

Anderson didn't even make it through spring training with Surprise after reports had him throwing 93-94 mph during an exhibition game. Maybe the ''Little Unit'' still has a chance.

Mariners released LHP Ryan Anderson.

The Mariners had hoped Anderson would be ready to pitch in games this spring, but it didn't happen. The game's former No. 1 pitching prospect is trying to come back from a thrid shoulder operation.

The Mariners hope that Ryan Anderson will be ready to pitch in games next spring.

Anderson, re-signed to a minor league deal at the end of the season, spent 2004 working his way back from a third shoulder surgery. Almost all of his upside is gone now, but the Mariners think he could at least be useful as a situational reliever.

Mariners re-signed LHP Ryan Anderson to a minor league contract.

Anderson, who has missed most of the last four seasons with rotator cuff problems, is working out in Arizona at the Mariners' instructional league complex but has yet to pitch. Seattle may consider making him a short reliever if it is better for his shoulder in the long run.

Ryan Anderson could begin pitching in minor league games in mid-July.

Anderson, on the way back from a third shoulder surgery, had a bullpen session yesterday.

Mariners sent LHP Ryan Anderson outright to Triple-A Tacoma.

No team felt it was worth taking a chance on Anderson, mainly because he won't be ready to pitch until June. Since this is the first time Anderson has been outrighted, he will have to accept the assignment and remain with Seattle.

Mariners designated LHP Ryan Anderson for assignment.

Anderson has underwent three shoulder surgeries and missed three seasons, but it would be a surprise if someone doesn't grab him on waivers.

Ryan Anderson could be dropped off Seattle's 40-man roster as soon as today.

The Mariners have a full roster and it's expected that someone will have to go as soon as the Rich Aurilia and Carlos Guillen deals are completed. Anderson is due back from his third shoulder surgery in May or June, but he won't be close to 100 percent in 2004. Still, it would be a surprise if some team doesn't claim him off waivers. Detroit might even try to get him thrown into the Guillen deal.

Ryan Anderson was found to have another torn labrum during today's shoulder surgery. He'll miss 8-12 months.

Gil Meche has made an outstanding comeback from his shoulder problems, so Anderson can't be counted out. However, after two torn labrums and a torn rotator cuff, he's quite a longshot.

Ryan Anderson will have exploratory shoulder surgery Wednesday.

It will be Anderson's third shoulder surgery. The Mariners won't know when he'll return until after the procedure.
