Ryan Doumit went 2-for-4 with his first home run of the season in the Twins' victory over the Red Sox on Tuesday.

Doumit's had a rough start to the season, hitting just .214 through his first 25 games. He had a strong 2012 in which he hit .275 with 18 homers, but staying healthy has always been his biggest weakness. With catcher being a surprisingly deep position this year, Doumit can be dropped if his struggles continue much longer.
May 7 - 10:33 PM

Ryan Doumit is not in Friday's lineup against the Rangers.

Doumit didn't start Thursday either, though he eventually entered the game as the DH and received two at-bats. It appears that his playing time could suffer the most now that Oswaldo Arcia is up with the big club. Josh Willingham will serve as the DH on Friday night while Arcia plays left field.
Apr 26 - 4:34 PM

Ryan Doumit had a two-run single and a walk in Friday's loss to the Mets.

Doumit entered Friday's action with just three RBI over his first 36 at-bats this season. While he's struggling early on, his eligibility between catcher and the outfield makes him a pretty useful option in deeper mixed fantasy leagues.
Apr 13 - 12:28 AM

Ryan Doumit went 2-for-3 with an RBI on Friday as the Twins topped the Red Sox 2-0.

Doumit had been off to a slow start this spring, so it's nice to see him with the multi-hit effort. While he'll split most of his time between the DH spot and the outfield in 2013, his eligibility at catcher makes him a very attractive target in the later rounds of fantasy drafts, particularly in two-catcher formats.
Mar 8 - 10:02 PM

Ryan Doumit went 2-for-2 and hit a three-run homer as the Twins topped the Phillies 12-5 on Wednesday.

The recent rumors connecting the Twins and Jim Thome should have Doumit buyers a bit nervous, but there's still nothing concrete there. As is, Doumit still projects as the Twins' primary DH. He'll also often start behind the plate when Joe Mauer is used as a DH or first baseman.
Feb 27 - 5:23 PM

Ryan Doumit will likely be shut down due to a thumb injury.

No word on the severity of the injury, but he will have all offseason to heal. If he's truly done, he will finish the season with a .275/.320/.461 batting line to go along with career-highs in home runs (18), RBI (75) and games played (134). His two-year, $7 million extension looks like a pretty nice value at the moment.

Ryan Doumit launched a grand slam on Saturday afternoon at Target Field, accounting for all of the Twins’ scoring in a losing effort against the Tigers.

The towering drive to left field came off Joaquin Benoit in the eighth inning, pulling the Twins to within 6-4. But that would be as close as they’d get. Doumit has now homered in two consecutive games and owns a solid .277/.323/.465 line with 18 bombs and 75 RBI on the year.

Ryan Doumit homered and drove home all four of the Twins' runs in a 4-2 victory over the Tigers on Friday.

He finished the night 2-for-4 with a homer, double, run scored and four RBI. He got the Twins on the board with a two-run blast off Phil Coke in the seventh inning, then added a game-winning two-run double off Bryan Villarreal in the eighth. He has quietly been one of the most productive catchers in the fantasy game this season, hitting .277/.323/.460 with 17 homers and 71 RBI.

Ryan Doumit ripped a solo homer in Monday's win over the Indians.

The Twins put up six of their seven runs in the final three innings, with Doumit's blast capping off the scoring. The 16 longballs represent a new career high for Doumit, as he's had a nice first season in Minnesota.

Ryan Doumit finished 3-for-6 with a home run and three RBI in Tuesday's 18-9 rout of the White Sox.

Doumit drove in two runs with a single in the Twins' 10-run fifth inning and added a solo shot in the seventh. He's batting .284 with 15 home runs and 64 RBI in 115 games this season, and should remain a solid fantasy commodity down the stretch. The Twins are now 56-80.

Ryan Doumit collected an RBI double as the Twins dropped a 5-2 decision to the Mariners on Tuesday.

Doumit finished the evening 1-for-4. He's been one of the strongest performers in the Twins lineup this season, and a fantasy stalwart at the catcher position, hitting .283 with 14 homers and 60 RBI.
