It was actually his first triple as an Angel; he hadn't had one since 2010 in his next-to-last year with the Cardinals. Pujols has given the Angels three three-hit games in his last five starts, delivering two homers and eight RBI during the span. He's up to .278 with 26 homers and 92 RBI for the year.

Albert Pujols finished 3-for-5 with a homer and three RBI in Monday's 12-3 rout of the Indians.

Pujols was retired in his first two at-bats of the afternoon makeup game, but he singled and scored in the Angels' six-run fifth inning and then did the same in the Angels' two-run seventh inning before launching a three-run bomb in the top of the ninth. Pujols had a huge weekend in Minnesota, collecting his 2,500th career hit and 1,500th career run, and he looks poised to keep the fun going for a while. The veteran slugger boasts has 26 homers and 91 RBI in 141 games this year.

Aug 28 - 9:01 AM

Albert Pujols singled three times and drove in two runs in Tuesday's 8-2 win over the Marlins.

Miami's pitchers were giving up hits galore, as the Angels as a team picked up sixteen knocks in the 8-2 win. Pujols drove in two with an RBI single in what ended up being a five run fourth inning for the Angels. He's driven in 80 runs on the season. Despite an overall solid slash line of .277/.333/.472, Pujols has been in a bit of a power drought since the All Star break, as he's only hit three home runs since the middle of July after hitting 21 in the first half of the season.
Aug 27 - 1:36 AM

Third baseman Albert Pujols homered in the bottom of the 19th to give the Angels a 5-4 win over the Red Sox on Saturday.

The Angels outhit the Red Sox 15-6 and outwalked them 7-4 (four being intentional), but they couldn't win the game until Pujols snuck one just over the wall in right off Brandon Workman to lead off the bottom of the 19th. The Red Sox originally took a 4-3 lead in the 14th, but couldn't make it stand, as a fatigued Junichi Tazawa blew the save. Pujols moved from first to third in the 14th after John McDonald was removed for a pinch-hitter. It was his first appearance at his original position since 2012. The walkoff homer was his first since signing with the Angels.

The home run was Pujols' 21st of the season and put him up to 70 RBI. He also contributed an RBI double in the third. Stunningly, it was Pujols' first RBI since July 23. The 34-year-old has a fine .274/.324/.471 slash line with 20 home runs and 67 RBI on the season.
