Ben Nicholson-Smith of reports that Mike MacDougal will throw for interested teams on Tuesday.

The list of interested clubs doesn't figure to be long, as MacDougal gave up five runs over 5 2/3 innings for the Dodgers last year and also had an ugly 6.52 ERA at Triple-A. He'll surely be able to land a minor league deal with someone, though. MacDougal will turn 36 in less than a month.

Nationals signed RHP Mike MacDougal to a minor league contract.

It's the third organization he's been in this year. MacDougal has posted a 7.94 ERA in the majors and a 7.85 mark in the minors this season and is merely organizational depth.

Cubs released RHP Mike MacDougal.

MacDougal struggled in 19 games at the Cubs' Triple-A affiliate in Iowa after being cut loose by the Dodgers, posting a 7.85 ERA and 11/16 K/BB ratio over 18 1/3 innings. He should be able to find another job.

Cubs signed RHP Mike MacDougal to a minor league contract.

It didn't take MacDougal long to find a home after he was released by the Dodgers last week. The 34-year-old right-hander was given the boot after posting a 7.94 ERA over 5 2/3 innings this season. He does have previous closing experience, so he could be considered a dark horse for saves in a very shaky Cubs' bullpen. We're assuming he'll report to Triple-A Iowa initially, though.

Mike MacDougal skipped a scheduled bullpen session Thursday after tweaking something in his back while fielding a ground ball on Wednesday.

It's still very early in camp, so it shouldn't have a big impact on his preparation for exhibition play. MacDougal, 34, posted a 2.05 ERA and 41/29 K/BB ratio in 57 innings last season and will pitch in middle relief for the Dodgers in 2012.

Dodgers re-signed RHP Mike MacDougal to a one-year, $1 million contract with a club option for 2013.

MacDougal was resigned to accepting a minor league contract last winter from the Dodgers, but pitched his way to a nice raise after posting an impressive 2.05 ERA and 41/29 K/BB ratio in 57 innings last season. The 34-year-old righty will function as a middle reliever in 2012.

Ken Gurnick of reports that the Dodgers are close to re-signing reliever Mike MacDougal.

As expected. MacDougal, 34, posted a 2.05 ERA and 41/29 K/BB ratio over 57 innings with the club in 2011. The Dodgers inked him on a minor league deal last offseason, but he'll likely get a guaranteed major-league deal this time.

The Dodgers are interested in re-signing right-hander Mike MacDougal, reports Dylan Hernandez of the Los Angeles Times.

MacDougal signed a minor league deal with the Dodgers last offseason and posted a 2.05 ERA and 41/29 K/BB ratio over 57 innings. The 34-year-old right-hander still struggles with his command, but could find a guaranteed deal this time around.

Mike MacDougal retired the only batter he faced Friday to record his first save of the season in the extra innings win over the White Sox.

Matt Guerrier started the 10th with a 6-3 lead, but after back-to-back singles and a groundout, he gave way to Scott Elbert. After Elbert induced a groundout of his own, he handed the baton to MacDougal, who got Paul Konerko to ground out to second to end the game. Though Guerrier might still be the favorite, it's certainly possible MacDougal, who has a 1.80 ERA on the year, could wind up sharing or possibly even take hold of the closing duties while Jonathan Broxton and Vicente Padilla are out. He's worth adding in NL-only and deeper mixed leagues.
