Tigers released LHP David Robertson.
The 36-year-old had been pitching at Triple-A Toledo where he compiled a 3.43 ERA, 1.57 WHIP and 12/13 K/BB ratio over 21 innings of work. He'll look for another organization willing to take a chance on him, but it could be the end of the line for Robertson. May 17 - 10:28 AM

Tigers signed LHP Nate Robertson to a minor league contract.

Robertson signed the deal with the Tigers last week and reported to the minor league side of camp. The 36-year-old left-hander posted a promising 3.04 ERA in 50 1/3 innings last season for the Rangers' Triple-A team and could help the Tigers as a left-handed relief specialist at some point in 2014.

FOX Sports' Jon Morosi reports that Nate Robertson is looking for a chance to compete for a relief job in spring training and "has spoken with several clubs."

Robertson hasn't appeared in the majors since 2010 but pitched well at Triple-A for the Rangers last season, posting a 3.04 ERA while holding left-handed batters to a .213 average. The 36-year-old should be able to get a minor league deal from someone.

Rangers signed LHP Nate Robertson to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training.

Robertson hasn't appeared in a major league game since 2010 and owns a rough 5.01 career ERA. He is highly doubtful to crack the Rangers' Opening Day roster.

FOX Sports' Jon Paul Morosi reports that Nate Robertson is looking for a chance in a major league camp as a lefty specialist.

Robertson hasn't appeared in the majors since 2010 and put up an 8.07 ERA over 23 games at Triple-A in 2012. He did hold left-handed batters to a .220/.245/.400 line, though, so perhaps someone will give him a shot on a minor league deal.

Cubs released LHP Nate Robertson.

Robertson posted an 8.10 ERA in 20 innings at Triple-A Iowa. He'll try to latch on with another organization.

Cubs signed LHP Nate Robertson to a minor league contract.

Robertson registered an ugly 7.14 ERA in 93 1/3 innings at Triple-A Tacoma last season after returning from March elbow surgery. He'll presumably function as organizational rotation depth this year for the Cubs.

Nate Robertson underwent surgery Wednesday to remove loose bodies from his left elbow.

The Mariners are already calling the surgery a success and expect Robertson to be ready for live action by the start of June. The veteran left-hander had allows six runs in seven innings this spring and will likely head to Triple-A Tacoma once his elbow returns to full health.

Nate Robertson will undergo surgery Wednesday to remove loose bodies from his left elbow.

Robertson will be sidelined for the next four weeks while in recovery mode. When he returns to full health, the M's are likely to ask him to report to Triple-A Tacoma. The veteran left-hander allowed 11 hits and six earned runs in seven innings of work this spring.

Nate Robertson turned in a clunker against the Giants on Sunday, giving up four hits, two walks and four runs in three innings of work.

He struck out just one. Robertson figures to prolong his career in the pitcher-friendly environs of Safeco Field this season, but he has to make the team first. Days like today won't help him beat out David Pauley and Luke French for one of the Mariners' final rotation spots.

Nate Robertson turned in two scoreless innings in a start Tuesday against the Rangers.

Robertson allowed three hits, but all were singles and he walked none. He also struck out three. If Erik Bedard can make it through the spring healthy and secure a job, then Robertson would be competing with David Pauley and Luke French for one spot in Seattle’s rotation.

Mariners signed LHP Nate Robertson to a minor league contract.

Robertson was also invited to spring training, though he doesn't really stand a chance of cracking the Mariners' Opening Day roster. The 33-year-old southpaw posted a 5.47 ERA and 1.50 WHIP in 100-plus innings last season for the Marlins and lasted just two appearances with the Phillies.

Phillies designated LHP Nate Robertson for assignment.

Robertson allowed six earned runs in less than an inning of work on Wednesday night against the Marlins and turned in a 5.95 ERA in 101-plus total innings this year. He may draw interest from another club.

Phillies purchased the contract of LHP Nate Robertson from Triple-A Lehigh Valley.

Robertson inked a minor league contract with the Phillies soon after being released by the Cardinals in August. He was assigned to Lehigh Valley, where he's posted a 3.38 ERA and 1.13 WHIP in 10 2/3 innings. The veteran lefty is likely to pitch in middle relief down the stretch for the Phils.

Phillies signed LHP Nate Robertson to a minor league contract.

He was assigned to Triple-A Lehigh Valley. The Cardinals signed Robertson to a minor league contract earlier this month, however his deal included an opt-out clause if he wasn't promoted to the major league roster by August 23. The veteran left-hander is a candidate to join the Phillies in September.
