Phillies sent RHP J.D. Durbin, INF Ray Olmedo and OF Chris Snelling outright to Triple-A Lehigh Valley.

Durbin was so terrible this spring that there was no way he was going to be claimed off waivers for the fourth time in 12 months. He gave up 21 runs and 28 hits in 15 1/3 innings. Snelling hit .200/.365/.275.

J.D. Durbin took his fourth loss of the spring after giving up six runs an inning of relief Monday against the Yankees.

With Brad Lidge and Francisco Rosario both going on the disabled list, there's plenty of room for Durbin in Philadelphia's pen. However, he's done nothing to justify a spot. He's given up 21 runs in 15 1/3 innings.

J.D. Durbin was pounded for five runs in three innings of relief by the Twins on Saturday.

Durbin has a 10.95 ERA in 12 1/3 innings. It's starting to appear likely that he'll go back on the waiver wire prior to Opening Day.

J.D. Durbin gave up three solo homers in his four innings of work Wednesday against the Tigers.

The three runs allowed left him with a 7.50 ERA after two starts. The addition of another Durbin, Chad, means J.D. faces longer odds to keep his spot on the Phillies. He may find himself back on the waiver wire at the end of the spring.

J.D. Durbin was pulled after one-plus innings Thursday and gave up three runs in a no-decision against the Rockies.

All three runs scored in the first. Durbin started the second by allowing back-to-back singles, getting him pulled. Luckily for him, Geoff Geary got out of the jam, and the Philadelphia bullpen went on to allow one run over eight innings in a 12-4 victory. Durbin's performance tonight will probably result in him getting bumped from the rotation to make room for Cole Hamels next week. Adam Eaton was the other possibility.

J.D. Durbin gave up five hits and seven runs without recording an out Saturday.

What a letdown after his solid start earlier in the week. Durbin walked one and dropped to 6-4 as his ERA shot up over a run per game.

J.D. Durbin yielded two runs in 6 1/3 innings Monday in a victory over the Mets.

Durbin, who entered with a 26/28 K/BB ratio in 49 2/3 innings, fanned a career-high six and walked none tonight. He's likely to remain inconsistent, but he's a fair play with a start in Florida on Sunday.

J.D. Durbin surrendered five runs -- four earned -- in six innings Wednesday in a loss to the Dodgers.

Durbin was on the right side of a 15-3 contest when he first faced the Dodgers five weeks ago. Tonight's game had that same score, but Durbin was handed his third loss to go along with five wins. He won't be worth using against the Mets next week.

J.D. Durbin earned a win after yielding three runs -- two earned -- in six innings against the Pirates on Friday.

Durbin had picked up four wins and a save in his six outings prior to tonight. However, he still hasn't been all that dominant while walking as many batters as he's struck out this season (25). He's unlikely to retain any fantasy value even if the Phillies find room for him to remain in the rotation.

Despite giving up three runs in three innings Thursday, J.D. Durbin picked up the victory in the Phillies win over the Cubs.

Durbin replaced starter Kyle Lohse, who left the game after the first inning with a forearm injury. He got credit for the win, although he was anything but effective in allowing three runs on five hits and a walk. If Lohse is sidelined, Durbin figures to take his spot in the rotation.

J.D. Durbin picked up a win despite allowing five runs in five innings Saturday against the Pirates.

This is more like what we were expecting to see from Durbin, who pitched a shutout against the Padres last time out. The 25-year-old walked four and struck out four tonight. He's not worth using with the Cubs next on the schedule.

J.D. Durbin followed up his successful start against the Dodgers on Tuesday with a complete-game shutout of the Padres on Sunday.

Durbin struck out three in the five-hitter. 71 of his 108 pitches for strikes and he didn't allow a runner to reach third base until there were two outs in the ninth. Durbin has a long history of control problems, so while the stuff is there for him to dominate occasionally, he makes for a very risky pickup in NL-only leagues. He's OK to use against the Pirates next time out, but you'll want to tread carefully.

J.D. Durbin picked up his first major league victory by holding the Dodgers to one run in six innings on Tuesday.

Just as disgusting as the Dodgers' pitching performance in the 15-3 loss was the fact that they couldn't do anything at all against Durbin, who entered with a 13.50 ERA and nine walks in 10 innings this season. The Dodgers never even tried waiting him out and got exactly what they deserved. The "Real Deal" ended up collecting half as many hits (three) at the plate as he allowed on the mound (six).

J.D. Durbin will have his next scheduled start skipped due to Thursday's day off.

The Phillies won't need a fifth starter until July 17. Durbin should be available out of the bullpen for the next 10 days.
