Phillies reassigned RHP Shawn Camp to minor league camp.

Camp, a non-roster invitee this spring, allowed just one run with a 7/0 K/BB ratio over 8 1/3 innings during Grapefruit League action. However, it wasn't enough for him to win a bullpen spot.

Phillies signed RHP Shawn Camp to a minor league contract.

The deal presumably includes a spring training invite. Camp, who turns 38 next week, owns a 4.40 ERA over 10 seasons in the majors and appeared in 26 games with the Cubs this past season. He'll compete for a bullpen spot.

Diamondbacks signed RHP Shawn Camp to a minor league contract; assigned him to Triple-A Reno.

Camp was released by the Cubs last week after posting a 7.04 ERA and 13/9 K/BB ratio over 23 innings this season. He pitched pretty well last year, though, and could join the D'Backs bullpen before long.

Camp was designated for assignment by the Cubs last week after posting a 7.04 ERA and 13/9 K/BB ratio over 23 innings this season. It shouldn't take long for him to find a new home.

Cubs designated RHP Shawn Camp for assignment.

Camp pitched well for the Cubs last season and entered this year as a setup man. He pitched terribly, though, perhaps in part because of his overuse last season, posting a 7.04 ERA over 26 appearances. Someone will take a shot on him as a middle reliever if he refuses an assignment to Triple-A.

Cubs activated RHP Shawn Camp from the 15-day disabled list.

Camp missed just over three weeks while recovering from a toe injury. He returns to a 7.56 ERA and 12/6 K/BB ratio over 17 innings this season.

Shawn Camp (toe) will begin a rehab assignment on Tuesday.

Camp will throw one inning on Tuesday and again on Friday before being re-evaluated. He should be activated over the weekend as long as he doesn't have a setback.

Shawn Camp (toe) will throw a bullpen session on Tuesday or Wednesday.

Camp has been out for a couple weeks with a sprained right big toe. He should be ready for activation soon as long as he avoids a setback.

Cubs placed RHP Shawn Camp on the 15-day disabled list with a sprained right big toe.

Rafael Dolis has been called up to replace him in the bullpen. Camp owns an ugly 7.56 ERA and 12/6 K/BB ratio across 16 2/3 innings of work this season.

Shawn Camp took a blown save in the ninth and a loss in the 10th Sunday against the Giants.

Camp got the first two outs in a one-run game in the ninth, then gave up a homer to Hunter Pence. The Cubs sent him back out for the 10th anyway, and he surrendered three more runs to take the loss. The ugly outing could put him behind James Russell in line for save chances.

Cubs re-signed RHP Shawn Camp to a one-year, $1.35 million contract.

He'll have a chance to earn an addition $200,000 through incentives. Camp pitched pretty well in a setup role for the Cubbies in 2012, posting a 3.59 ERA and 1.29 WHIP over 80 games. He'll be used in the same role in 2013.

Gordon Wittenmyer of the Chicago Sun-Times reports that the Cubs are "making a big push" to retain Shawn Camp.

Camp is the team's lone free agent. The veteran right-hander posted a 3.59 ERA and 1.29 WHIP over 80 games for the Cubbies this season. He'll likely receive a modest one-year deal.

The Cubs are interested in bringing back right-hander Shawn Camp.

Camp is the only free agent on the Cubs' roster and is expected to be re-signed after leading their bullpen in appearances last season. "We’re going to talk to him about a possible return," president Theo Epstein said. "I thought he did a real nice job for us and he’s a great guy to have around."

Shawn Camp allowed hits to all seven Pirates he faced and was charged with five runs in Wednesday's game.

Yikes. Camp had a 2.70 ERA in 52 appearances going into the day, but it's all of the way up to 3.54 now. He had allowed a total of two runs in his last 20 appearances.
