Blue Jays sent RHP Dave Bush outright to Triple-A Buffalo.

Bush successfully cleared waivers after he was designated for assignment yesterday. The 33-year-old allowed five runs on five hits (including four home runs) and one walk over three innings of work on Sunday against the Red Sox.

Blue Jays designated RHP Dave Bush for assignment.

Bush lasted just two days in his stint with the Blue Jays. The move clears a spot for the recently-claimed Mauro Gomez on the 40-man roster.

Blue Jays purchased the contract of RHP Dave Bush from Triple-A Buffalo.

Bush will provide some reinforcement with Toronto's bullpen taxed from playing in high-scoring games the last two days. Jeremy Jeffress has been designated for assignment in a corresponding move.

Dave Bush threw two hitless innings out of the pen to pick up the win as the Blue Jays bested the Tigers 8-3 on Saturday.

Back where he started, Bush is a major long shot to crack the Blue Jays' Opening Day roster after going 4-3 with a 3.16 ERA in 11 starts with the Phillies' Triple-A affiliate and spending some time in Korea last year. Bush went 10-15 with a 4.15 ERA for the Blue Jays in 2004-05 before being shipped to Milwaukee and turning in a couple of nice years for the Brewers.

Blue Jays signed RHP Dave Bush to a minor league contract.

Bush pitched fairly well for the Phillies' Triple-A affiliate in 2012, posting a 3.16 ERA and 1.23 WHIP over 11 starts before exploring an opportunity in the Korean Baseball Organization. While he's a long shot to crack the major league roster out of spring training, he'll serve as valuable insurance at the Triple-A level.

Phillies released RHP Dave Bush.

Bush had an opt-out clause in his minor league deal, and he's using it and signing on with a Korean club. He posted a 3.16 ERA over 11 starts at Triple-A Lehigh Valley this season.

Jim Salisbury of CSNPhilly.com reports that Dave Bush is being pursued by a Korean team.

It's not clear at this point what the likelihood is that he'll sign with them, but Bush does have an opt-out clause in his contract. He seems likely to exercise it soon if the Phillies don't call him up or promise to do so. Bush holds a 3.16 ERA over 11 starts at Triple-A Lehigh Valley this season.

Dave Bush has an out clause in his contract that he can exercise on June 1 if the Phillies don't call him up.

Bush has posted a 2.61 ERA in 10 starts with Triple-A Lehigh Valley, so the Phillies might be tempted to bring him up in order to avoid losing him. He could conceivably take Roy Halladay's (shoulder) spot in the rotation, but it's more likely he'd be used in a long relief role.

Phillies re-signed RHP Dave Bush to a minor league contract.

The contract also includes an invite to spring training. Bush, 32, finished the 2011 season with Triple-A Lehigh Valley after pitching in the majors with the Rangers and at the Triple-A level with the Cubs. The veteran right-hander is a longshot to make Philadelphia's Opening Day roster.

Phillies signed RHP Dave Bush to a minor league contract.

He'll report to Triple-A Lehigh Valley. Bush was released by the Rangers in early July after posting a 5.79 ERA in 17 appearances and requested and received his release from the Cubs after he held a 6.14 ERA over five starts with Triple-A Iowa. Injuries would have to strike for him to get a shot, but he's not a bad guy to have around for depth purposes.

Dave Bush has elected to become a free agent.

Bush signed a minor league deal with the Cubs last month and posted a 6.14 ERA over five starts with Triple-A Iowa. The 31-year-old right-hander was released by the Rangers at the end of June after compiling a 5.79 ERA and 23/9 K/BB ratio over three starts and 14 relief appearances. It's very unlikely we'll see him again in the majors this season.

Dave Bush gave up one run on five hits and two walks while striking out three over 2 1/3 innings in his first start for Triple-A Iowa against Oklahoma City Sunday.

Bush was cut loose by the Rangers earlier this month and signed a minor league deal with the Cubs last week. He posted a 5.79 ERA in 37 1/3 innings for Texas and doesn't appear close to being able to make an impact with the Cubs.

Cubs signed RHP Dave Bush to a minor league contract.

Bush was cut loose by the Rangers earlier this month after posting a 5.79 ERA in 37 1/3 innings. He'll report to Triple-A Iowa to provide depth but is certainly a longshot to make any kind of impact in the second half.

Rangers released RHP Dave Bush.

Bush was designated for assignment earlier this month after posting a 5.79 ERA in 37 1/3 innings and drew no interest from other teams. The 31-year-old right-hander will likely have to settle for a minor league contract.
