Scott Atchison allowed a run but survived to record his third career save Monday in a 4-3 win over the Royals.
The Tribe elected to give the ball to Atchison to protect a two-run lead in the bottom of the 10th inning in what was the completion of a suspended game that began on August 31. It wasn't easy, as the Royals scratched out a run on two singles and two stolen bases. Atchison was able to strand the tying run at second base to end the game when he got Omar Infante to pop up. The Indians are now just 2 1/2 games out of a Wild Card spot. Mon, Sep 22, 2014 06:27:00 PM
