Tom Gorzelanny was tagged for seven runs and 10 hits in 3 2/3 innings by the Cardinals on Wednesday.

Gorzy was doing nice work against lesser teams, but he's been roughed up by contenders his last two times out. After facing the Reds and Cards in consecutive starts, he'll get the Pirates next time out. That's a better matchup, but he's a borderline play in NL-only leagues.

Tom Gorzelanny was touched up for five runs over 4 2/3 innings in a no-decision against the Reds on Friday.

Gorzelanny needed 37 pitches just to make it through the first inning, so it was clear he wasn't going to last long in this one. All told, the southpaw allowed six hits (including two homers) and three walks while notching five strikeouts. His ERA jumped from 2.51 to 2.95 with the clunker. Things don't get any easier next week with a tough matchup against the Cardinals.
