No word on the terms involved. Gorzelanny had a late start last season after shoulder surgery, but posted a 0.86 ERA and 23/8 K/BB ratio over 21 innings with the Brewers. The veteran southpaw could function in a swingman role for Detroit in 2015.

Brewers manager Ron Roenicke called the outing "encouraging," saying "(the) stuff was there and he felt good." The plan is for Gorzelanny to make another rehab appearance on Monday, and he could sneak one more outing in before his 30 days are up. The left-hander has yet to appear in a game for the Brewers this season.

Tom Gorzelanny (shoulder) threw two scoreless innings in a rehab start with High-A Brevard County on Wednesday.

It was the lefty's first rehab start since being placed on the disabled list in late March. He's shooting for a return at the end of May.
