According to's Mark Bowman, teams have inquired about Cameron Maybin but the Braves have "made it clear" they would need to be blown away to move him.

There's been talk of serious interest from the Giants, but it doesn't sound like any sort of deadline deal involving Maybin is going to happen. The 28-year-old center fielder has revitalized his career in his first season with Atlanta, batting .282/.346/.399 with eight home runs and 17 stolen bases in 89 games. He is under the Braves' control through 2017.

Cameron Maybin hit an RBI double and scored a run Friday against the Cardinals.

Maybin was right in the middle of the only offense of the night for Atlanta. The 28-year-old has already reached a new career-high with 46 RBI. With two more homers, he'll have a new career-high in that category as well. He's been of the few bright spots for the Braves this season.

Cameron Maybin was scratched from Sunday's lineup due to illness.

He should be fine after the All-Star break. Eury Perez took Maybin's spot in the lineup.
Jul 12 - 3:57 PM

ESPN's Buster Olney wrote that some other teams perceive that the Braves may be willing to trade Cameron Maybin as a sell-high move before the trade deadline.

It should be noted here that Olney does not attach any specific team names, but it would make sense that the Braves would at least be open to discussing Maybin, who is posting one of the best overall seasons of his career (.294/.363.416, seven homers, 39 RBI, 15 steals). The team currently sits at 40-42.
Jul 6 - 12:17 PM

The big game pushed his season slash to .295/.364/.418 to side with seven home runs, 39 RBI, 34 runs scored and 14 steals in what's shaping up to be the best overall season of his career.
Jul 4 - 10:28 PM

Maybin then hit a chopper just inside the third base line to plate Ciriaco for the win. The 28-year-old has had a huge first half with Atlanta, putting up a .281/.354/.388 batting line to go along with six home runs, 37 RBI, and 14 steals over 70 games.
Jul 2 - 10:12 PM

Jun 26 - 3:15 PM

Cameron Maybin continued his hot-hitting, going 2-for-4 with a double in a losing effort against the Nationals on Thursday.

Jun 25 - 7:16 PM

Cameron Maybin rapped an RBI single in the ninth inning and a go-ahead RBI single in the 11th to help the Braves beat the Mets 5-3 on Saturday.

Maybin played a crucial role late in the contest. His RBI single off of Hansel Robles in the ninth inning brought the Braves to within 3-2. They would subsequently tie the game, which allowed Maybin to hit a go-ahead two-run single in the 11th inning. Those two RBI would stand up as the difference in the 5-3 win. Maybin finished the game 3-for-6 and is slashing .303/.375/.421 with five homers and 32 RBI this season.
Jun 13 - 8:12 PM

Cameron Maybin went 2-for-5, notching his fifth consecutive multi-hit game, but the Braves lost in 11 innings to the Padres on Monday.

The Braves haven't gotten much offense out of their regular lineup outside of Freddie Freeman and Maybin. The center fielder singled in the Braves' first run to tie the game in the third inning, stole second base, then later came around to score the go-ahead run. Maybin is batting a healthy .299/.371/.427 with 10 stolen bases along with five home runs, 27 RBI, and 23 runs scored. As long as he's hitting like this, he needs to be owned in fantasy leagues.
Jun 8 - 11:04 PM

Cameron Maybin went 3-for-5 with an RBI single, a run scored, and a stolen base Friday against the Pirates.

He made the start out of the leadoff spot with Jace Peterson sidelined due to a sore left hand. Maybin has been very productive with the Braves this season, batting .280/.360/.420 with five home runs, 25 RBI, eight stolen bases, and 21 runs scored over 45 games. His playing time is secure and he's hitting near the top of the lineup, so it's about time he's owned in more fantasy leagues.
