Braves signed INF Reid Brignac to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training.
Brignac, who turns 30 in January, appeared in 17 games with the Marlins this past season and owns a lowly .219/.266/.310 batting line in the majors. He's simply organizational fodder at this point. Nov 24 - 2:08 PM

Marlins sent INF Reid Brignac outright to Triple-A New Orleans.

Brignac was designated for assignment by the Fish on May 8 and passed through waivers unclaimed. The 29-year-old is a .219/.266/.310 career hitter in the major leagues.

Marlins designated INF Reid Brignac for assignment.

Brignac was the odd-man out with Christian Yelich returning from the disabled list on Friday. There's a chance that he could pass through waivers and continue to function as organizational depth for the Marlins.
May 8 - 7:07 PM

Marlins re-signed INF Reid Brignac to a minor league contract.

Brignac was cut at the end of March and elected free agency, but it appears he's had a change of heart. He'll report to the Triple-A New Orleans. Should the Marlins need some infield bench help, Brignac would get the call, as he was one of the last cuts in camp. Last season with the Phillies, the veteran hit .222/.300/.346 in 81 at-bats for the Phillies.
Apr 4 - 9:17 PM

Reid Brignac has elected free agency.

Brignac, a non-roster invitee this spring, was among the Marlins' final cuts. He hit .222/.300/.346 in 81 at-bats with the Phillies last season. At best, he'll find work as a backup utility infielder, but he's not fantasy relevant.
Mar 31 - 12:03 PM

Reid Brignac went 3-for-4 with three RBI against the Mets on Monday.

Brignac, a .222/.300/.346 hitter in 81 at-bats for the Phillies last season, is a fallback utility infield option for the Marlins if players get hurt this spring.
Mar 9 - 5:28 PM

Marlins signed INF Reid Brignac to a minor league contract.

It's unclear whether the deal includes an invitation to spring training. The 28-year-old batted .222/.300/.346 in a utility role with the Phillies this past season.

Phillies sent INF Reid Brignac outright to Triple-A Lehigh Valley.

Phillies designated infielder Reid Brignac for assignment.

Brignac's glove isn't really good enough to carry his modest bat in a utility role. He hit .222/.300/.346 in 91 at-bats for the Phillies.

Phillies activated INF Reid Brignac from the 15-day disabled list.

Reid Brignac (ankle) will begin a minor league rehab assignment Tuesday with the Gulf Coast League Phillies.

Brignac has been sidelined for nearly a month with a sprained left ankle. The 28-year-old is batting .258/.329/.409 with one home run and 10 RBI over 74 plate appearances this season.

Phillies placed INF Reid Brignac on the 15-day disabled list with a sprained left ankle.

Brignac suffered the injury during Thursday's win over the Cardinals. It's not clear at this point how long he'll be sidelined. Cody Asche (hamstring) has returned from the DL to take Brignac's spot on the roster.

Reid Brignac exited Thursday's game against the Cardinals with a left ankle injury.

It was a gruesome injury, as Brignac was trying to beat Cards pitcher Shelby Miller to the first base bag and caught his leg funny while colliding with the hurler. He was able to limp off with assistance, but a trip to the disabled list seems likely. Brignac will be re-evaluated Friday before we know for sure.

Reid Brignac went 3-for-6 with a two-run triple against the Braves on Monday.

The triple came off a tired reliever after the game was essentially over, but who cares? It gave him seven RBI in his last five games, as he's taken over the Phillies' primary third baseman with Cody Asche out. He's about to return to a utility role, but one imagines he's content with a bench job and a major league salary after all of the bouncing around of the previous couple of years.

Reid Brignac went 1-for-4 with a walk-off three-run home run in Wednesday's win over the Padres.

The Padres and Phillies battled for offensive futility supremacy, but Brignac snapped it with his walk-off blast against reliever Nick Vincent. It's his second walk-off hit for the Phillies despite having taken only 47 trips to the plate. The third baseman, filling in for the injured Cody Asche, has a home run and five runs batted in along with a .220/.304/.341 slash line, but is irrelevant for fantasy purposes.
