Phillies sent INF Reid Brignac outright to Triple-A Lehigh Valley.

Brignac had been designated for assignment, but he cleared waivers and will remain in the organization. It's possible he'll be back up next month.
Aug 25 - 8:17 PM

Phillies designated infielder Reid Brignac for assignment.

Brignac's glove isn't really good enough to carry his modest bat in a utility role. He hit .222/.300/.346 in 91 at-bats for the Phillies.
Aug 23 - 2:56 PM

Phillies activated INF Reid Brignac from the 15-day disabled list.

Brignac was out for a month with a sprained left ankle. He will return Monday night to his utility infield role.
Jul 21 - 2:34 PM

Reid Brignac (ankle) will begin a minor league rehab assignment Tuesday with the Gulf Coast League Phillies.

Brignac has been sidelined for nearly a month with a sprained left ankle. The 28-year-old is batting .258/.329/.409 with one home run and 10 RBI over 74 plate appearances this season.
Jul 15 - 9:28 AM

Phillies placed INF Reid Brignac on the 15-day disabled list with a sprained left ankle.

Brignac suffered the injury during Thursday's win over the Cardinals. It's not clear at this point how long he'll be sidelined. Cody Asche (hamstring) has returned from the DL to take Brignac's spot on the roster.
Jun 20 - 1:28 PM

Reid Brignac exited Thursday's game against the Cardinals with a left ankle injury.

It was a gruesome injury, as Brignac was trying to beat Cards pitcher Shelby Miller to the first base bag and caught his leg funny while colliding with the hurler. He was able to limp off with assistance, but a trip to the disabled list seems likely. Brignac will be re-evaluated Friday before we know for sure.
Jun 19 - 9:36 PM

Reid Brignac went 3-for-6 with a two-run triple against the Braves on Monday.

The triple came off a tired reliever after the game was essentially over, but who cares? It gave him seven RBI in his last five games, as he's taken over the Phillies' primary third baseman with Cody Asche out. He's about to return to a utility role, but one imagines he's content with a bench job and a major league salary after all of the bouncing around of the previous couple of years.
Jun 17 - 12:31 AM

Reid Brignac went 1-for-4 with a walk-off three-run home run in Wednesday's win over the Padres.

The Padres and Phillies battled for offensive futility supremacy, but Brignac snapped it with his walk-off blast against reliever Nick Vincent. It's his second walk-off hit for the Phillies despite having taken only 47 trips to the plate. The third baseman, filling in for the injured Cody Asche, has a home run and five runs batted in along with a .220/.304/.341 slash line, but is irrelevant for fantasy purposes.
Jun 11 - 10:06 PM

Reid Brignac delivered a walk-off RBI single in the 14th inning to secure a 6-5 win over the Mets on Friday night.

The game-winning hit was set up when Chris Young dropped a fly ball off the bat of Marlon Byrd to begin the inning. Carlos Ruiz then singled to center field and Cesar Hernandez was intentionally walked to load the bases before Brignac brought Byrd home. Brignac, who made the start at third base, went 2-for-5 with two walks and two strikeouts on the evening.
May 31 - 1:14 AM

Phillies purchased the contract of INF Reid Brignac from Triple-A Lehigh Valley.

Brignac was batting .284/.357/.514 with five homers and 21 RBI early on at Triple-A. He'll provide some infield depth with Jimmy Rollins (groin) banged up.
May 9 - 12:12 PM

Phillies reassigned INF Reid Brignac to Triple-A Lehigh Valley.

An expected move after the acquisition of Jayson Nix on Friday. Brignac, 28, hit .316 (6-for-19) with three doubles and a 4/5 K/BB ratio over 20 games this spring.
Mar 29 - 11:50 AM

Phillies signed INF Reid Brignac to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training.

Brignac, who will turn 28 in January, batted .185 (17-for-92) with one home run and six RBI over 46 games this past season between the Yankees and Rockies. He'll compete for a utility infielder job in the spring.

Rockies signed INF Reid Brignac to a minor league deal, assigned him to Triple-A Colorado Springs.

Brignac, of course, was designated for assignment by the Rockies last month before being traded to the Yankees, who also eventually designated him for assignment. He'll represent minor league depth.

Reid Brignac has elected free agency.

Brignac passed through waivers after being designated for assignment by the Yankees over the weekend, but refused a minor league assignment. The 27-year-old is hitting just .185/.219/.261 in 98 plate appearances at the major league level this season, but it shouldn't be long before he latches on elsewhere.
