Yankees signed RHP Anthony Swarzak to a minor league contract.
Swarzak opened the 2015 season with the Indians, but after they sent him to Triple-A outright in May, he opted to sign a contract with the Doosan Bears in the Korean Baseball Organization. He didn't fare particularly well in the KBO, though, holding a 5.26 ERA, 1.51 WHIP and 72/30 K/BB ratio across 92 1/3 innings. The 30-year-old right-hander was once viewed as an intriguing prospect--he cracked Baseball America's Top-100 in 2006--but he's a ways removed from that at this point. Jan 13 - 5:31 PM
