Brandon Snyder went 1-for-1 with a pinch-hit solo home run in Sunday's loss to the Mets.
Pinch-hitting for reliever Jed Bradley with two outs in the seventh inning, Snyder socked a solo homer off Seth Lugo. Unfortunately for the Braves, that barely dented the scoreboard, as they still trailed 10-2 after he rounded the bases. The 29-year-old third baseman has picked up just eight hits in 40 at-bats this season and holds no fantasy value. Sep 11 - 6:13 PM

Braves purchased the contract of 3B/1B Brandon Snyder from Triple-A Gwinnett.

Snyder was designated for assignment by Atlanta just a few weeks ago, but he's getting called back to fill the roster spot left vacant by Wednesday night's Jeff Francoeur trade. Snyder, 29, owns a poor .232/.272/.420 career batting line in 107 games at the MLB level.

Braves designated INF Brandon Snyder for assignment.

Snyder hit just .182/.206/.515 across 34 plate appearances for Atlanta. He should clear waivers.
Aug 7 - 12:58 PM

Brandon Snyder blasted his first home run of the season as the Braves fell to the Dodgers on Sunday afternoon in Los Angeles.

Snyder, who was called up from Triple-A on Thursday, was only in the game due to the blow-out that the Braves were facing. He made the most of his opportunity, smashing an offering from Louis Coleman over the wall in left field. It won't lead to additional playing time or fantasy value of any kind, but made for a nice afternoon for the 29-year-old.
Jun 5 - 7:37 PM

Braves purchased the contract of INF Brandon Snyder from Triple-A Gwinnett.

Snyder will act as infield depth for Atlanta while Gordon Beckham recovers from a hamstring strain. Snyder hasn't appeared in the majors since 2013, when he batted .180/.212/.360 in 52 plate appearances for the Red Sox. He is not a fantasy-relevant player.
Jun 2 - 9:45 AM

Braves signed INF Brandon Snyder to a minor league contract.

Snyder, 29, hasn't played in the majors since 2013 and spent a chunk of 2015 in independent ball. The Braves are rebuilding, but he's almost surely nothing more than a depth signing.

Brandon Snyder has signed with the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs of the independent Atlantic League.

A former-first round pick the Orioles, the 28-year-old Snyder batted .206/.284/.444 with eight home runs in 141 plate appearances at Triple-A with the Red Sox last year. He owns a .243/.287/.399 batting line over 158 plate appearances in the majors.

Red Sox reassigned INF Brandon Snyder to minor league camp.

Snyder was outrighted off Boston's 40-man roster in early November and then re-signed to a minor league contract a couple weeks later. He wasn't in the running for an Opening Day roster spot this spring in camp.

Red Sox re-signed INF Brandon Snyder to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training.

Snyder was outrighted off Boston's 40-man roster in early November but is back now on a non-guaranteed minor league deal. The 26-year-old hit .180/.212/.360 with two home runs this year in 27 major league games.

Red Sox sent INF Brandon Snyder outright to Triple-A Pawtucket.

Snyder elected free agency and will search for a minor league contract elsewhere. He slashed .261/.332/.454 with 10 homers on the farm this past season.

Red Sox activated INF Brandon Snyder from the 15-day disabled list.

Snyder has been recovered from his elbow injury for a few extra days already, but the Red Sox wanted to wait until rosters expanded to officially activate him. He'll provide an extra bat off the bench for the stretch run.

Brandon Snyder (elbow) is likely to return September 1.

Snyder is recovered from his elbow injury but the Red Sox will wait until rosters expand at the start of September to officially bring him back. The infielder has been on the 15-day disabled list since August 10.

Red Sox placed INF Brandon Snyder on the 15-day disabled list with an elbow injury.

Will Middlebrooks was recalled from Triple-A Pawtucket in a corresponding 25-man roster move and will get the majority of starts at third base for the Red Sox going forward. There is no timetable for Snyder's return.

Brandon Snyder is expected to be placed on the disabled list.

The full extent of the injury (or when it occurred) isn't yet known, but Snyder hasn't played since Wednesday. The Red Sox will recall Will Middlebrooks to replace him on the active roster.

Brandon Snyder homered off David Price for the Red Sox's only run in Monday's loss to the Rays.

Unfortunately, that homer probably bought him the at-bat against Joel Peralta in the eighth in which he hit a routine fly to left with the tying run on third. If not for the homer, there's a good chance Mike Carp, a better bat against righties, would have been up in his place. The medium-depth fly ended up resulting in an out at home plate because Jerry Meals was in terrible position and blew the call, denying Snyder a sac fly and the Red Sox the tying run in a game they lost 2-1.
