The Pioneer Press' Mike Bernadino reports that if he's part of the Brewers' Opening Day roster, Blain Boyer will make $950,000.

The Brewers signed Boyer to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training in mid-February. In 65 innings with the Twins in 2015, the 34-year-old right-hander pitched to a 2.49 ERA with a 33/19 K/BB ratio. He should have a solid opportunity to land on the Opening Day roster.

According to Mike Berardino of the St. Paul Pioneer Press, a "handful of clubs" have shown interest in Boyer this offseason including the Royals. Boyer emerged as a solid late-inning arm for the Twins, logging a 2.49 ERA across 65 innings in 2015. The 34 year old has pitched for six teams since making his debut in 2005. He earned a modest $850,000 this past season.

It's unclear when the ailment popped up, but it appears Boyer doesn't have any structural issues. Michael Tonkin will replace him in the Twins' bullpen.

Blaine Boyer tossed a perfect ninth inning Saturday against the Blue Jays for his first save of the season.

Boyer was filling in for Glen Perkins, who had thrown in three out of the last four days and took the loss in a rare shaky outing on Friday. This was just the third save of Boyer's career. The 33-year-old has a 2.19 ERA and 10/6 K/BB ratio over 24 2/3 innings this season. The Twins are 19-7 this month, tops in the American League.
