Rays signed LHP Dana Eveland to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training.

Orioles signed LHP Dana Eveland to a minor league contract.

Eveland was released by the Braves earlier this month after struggling in his brief time there. He pitched well for the Mets last season, though, and is not a bad depth guy to have around.

Braves released LHP Dana Eveland.

He cleared waivers after being removed from the 40-man roster and has now been cut loose. Eveland held an ugly 6.00 ERA during his brief time with the Braves, but someone will give him a shot on a minor league deal

Braves designated LHP Dana Eveland for assignment.

The veteran southpaw posted a 6.00 ERA, 2.67 WHIP and 4/3 K/BB ratio in his three innings with the big league club. It's unclear if he'll look to latch on elsewhere, or accept an assignment to Triple-A and continue to provide organizational bullpen depth.

Braves purchased the contract of LHP Dana Eveland from Triple-A Gwinnett.

Gwinnett opted out of his minor league contract with the Red Sox last week after being denied a promotion despite posting a dominant 1.54 ERA, 0.857 WHIP, and 20/3 K/BB ratio over 23 1/3 innings at Triple-A Pawtucket. He's finally getting a shot now with the Braves.

Eveland opted out of his minor league deal with the Red Sox after failing to receive a promotion following a 1.54 ERA and 20/3 K/BB ratio over 23 1/3 innings at Triple-A Pawtucket. He should get a shot with the Braves soon.

Dana Eveland (elbow) is likely done for the season.

Eveland was given a cortisone injection in his left elbow in hopes that it would allow him to keep pitching, but an MRI Thursday showed that he still had inflammation. The good news is that he has no structural damage. "It was a relief to know there is no structural damage," Eveland said, "but it (stinks) I was having a good season, I wanted to finish strong."

Dana Eveland will be unavailable until at least Friday after receiving a cortisone injection in his ailing left elbow.

The Mets are hoping it's not a disabled list situation, but it's not a given. Eveland has pitched surprisingly well for the Mets, posting a 3.09 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 21/5 K/BB ratio over 23 1/3 relief innings.

An X-ray on Dana Eveland's left elbow came back clean.

Eveland was hit on the pitching elbow by a comebacker Monday. While he escaped serious injury, it wouldn't be a surprise if he was unavailable for a few days.
