Nationals released RHPs Clay Hensley, Martires Arias and Greg Holt, LHP Casey Selsor, SS Kyle Attl, and 2Bs Taylor Wrenn and Drew Rossi.

The fantasy relevance of the six outside of Hensley can be summed up by Rotoworld having done a combined zero previous updates on them. Hensley didn't pitch in the majors last season, posting a 3.92 ERA in 19 Triple-A appearances before finishing out the year in independent ball. He should be able to snatch up a middle relief gig at the Triple-A level, while the rest will scramble to offer their services as organizational soldiers.

Nationals reassigned RHPs Clay Hensley, Josh Roenicke, Daniel Stange, and LHP Danny Rosenbaum to minor league camp.

This was part of a big round of cuts on Thursday morning in Nationals camp. Hensley got a spring training invite from the Nats in January and was hoping to compete for a bullpen job, but he never had much of a shot. The right-hander did not pitch in the majors in 2013.

Hensley didn't pitch in the majors last season, posting a 3.92 ERA in 19 Triple-A appearances before finishing out the year in independent ball. He's unlikely to make the Opening Day roster but isn't a bad depth signing.

Reds reassigned RHP Clay Hensley and LHP Wilkin De La Rosa to minor league camp.

Neither player was expected to make the Opening Day roster. Hensley posted a 4.50 ERA and 15/2 K/BB ratio in 12 innings of work this spring. The 33-year-old would make for solid bullpen depth in the minors.

Clay Hensley (groin) is expected to return from the 15-day disabled list when first eligible.

Hensley threw to live hitters on Wednesday without incident. The right-handed reliever was placed on the disabled list August 29 and is eligible to return next Tuesday. He would seem to be on the right track.
