Marlins released INF/OF Don Kelly.

Kelly, a non-roster player, batted .250 (6-for-24) with two RBI this spring. The 36-year-old was limited to two games with the Marlins last season due to a fracture finger and Tommy John surgery.

Marlins re-signed INF/OF Don Kelly to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training.

Kelly was limited to two games at the major league level last season and underwent Tommy John surgery in July. It's unclear if he'll be ready at the start of spring training.

Marlins transferred INF/OF Don Kelly from the 15-day disabled list to the 60-day disabled list.

The move clears a spot on the 40-man roster for Raudel Lazo. Kelly had Tommy John surgery in July.

Don Kelly underwent Tommy John reconstructive elbow surgery earlier this week.

Kelly will miss the remainder of the 2015 season and most of 2016. This could very well be the end of the road for the 35-year-old utilityman, who appeared in just two games this summer for the Marlins.

Don Kelly has an appointment with Dr. James Andrews on Monday to address a "significant tear" in his right elbow, reports the Miami Herald's Clark Spencer.

Kelly has been on the disabled list since April with a fractured right ring finger, but his new injury likely guarantees he won't play against this year. The 35-year-old is nearing the end of his career.

Marlins placed 1B Don Kelly on the 15-day disabled list with a fractured right ring finger.

In a painful quirk of the universe, both Kelly and catcher Jeff Mathis fractured right ring fingers on Sunday against the Rays. No timetable has been set for either player's return at this point.

Don Kelly has been diagnosed with a fractured right ring finger.

Kelly injured the finger while fielding a grounder at third base Sunday. It's not clear whether he'll need surgery, but obviously he's headed to the disabled list.

Don Kelly left Sunday's game versus the Rays with a finger injury.

Kelly scraped the tip of right ring finger after fielding a grounder at third base. He should be fine but needed to be removed after losing quite a bit of blood. Donovan Solano took his spot at the hot corner.

Marlins purchased the contract of INF/OF Don Kelly from Triple-A New Orleans.

The 34-year-old basically just had to stay healthy this spring in order to win a utility spot. Kelly will back up all over the field for the Marlins.

Marlins signed INF/OF Don Kelly to a minor league contract.

The deal includes an invitation to spring training. The 34-year-old's versatility should give him an opportunity to compete for a spot on the Marlins bench, but he has extremely limited appeal in fantasy leagues.

Don Kelly has elected to become a free agent.

Kelly was outrighted off the Tigers' 40-man roster at the end of October and then declined his assignment to Triple-A Toledo. The 34-year-old utilityman owns a .232/.296/.336 career batting line in 1,189 plate appearances at the major league level. He may have to settle for a minor league contract this winter.

Tigers sent INF/OF Don Kelly outright to Triple-A Toledo.

He's now off the 40-man roster. Kelly is arbitration-eligible for a final time this winter but could be non-tendered.

Don Kelly had a tough day at the office in a losing effort against the Twins on Friday, going 0-for-4 with a strikeout.

The Tigers were unable to generate any type of offense against Kyle Gibson and the Twins bullpen on this particular evening. The super-utility man is now hitting just .244/.322/.295 on the season.

Don Kelly had a terrific day at the dish in Saturday’s win over the Orioles, going 3-for-4 with a triple, two runs scored and an RBI.

The super utility man was making his first start of the season, playing third base in place of Nick Castellanos. He is irrelevant outside of the deepest of AL-only leagues, but has multi-position eligibility and could become interesting should he find his way into regular at-bats.
