Reds reassigned RHP Armando Galarraga to minor league camp.
Galarraga pitched well in camp, posting a 3.38 ERA and 1.25 WHIP over four appearances, but he never had a real shot to head north with the big club. He'll give them some rotation depth at Triple-A. Mar 22 - 1:23 PM

Armando Galarraga allowed just one hit over two scoreless innings Monday in a 5-2 victory over the Brewers.

Galarraga struck out two batters and walked none. He won't have a spot in the Reds' rotation when the regular season gets underway, but the 31-year-old righty could luck into a midseason call-up in the event of an injury.

Armando Galarraga has been invited to major league camp with the Reds.

Galarraga signed a minor league deal with the Reds last month, but he originally wasn't invited to big league camp. With the depth that the Reds have in their rotation, it's unlikely that Galarraga will find a spot on the Opening Day roster. It's possible that he could find work as a long reliever out of the bullpen, but he won't hold any value in fantasy leagues.

Reds signed RHP Armando Gallaraga to a minor league contract.

Mark Sheldon of MLB.com reports that the deal doesn't include a spring training invite with the big club. The 30-year-old right-hander posted a 6.75 ERA over five starts with the Astros last season. He'll function as insurance for the starting rotation.

According to Darren Wolfson of ESPN 1500, the Twins are interested in bringing aboard free agent right-hander Armando Galarraga on a minor league deal.

Wolfson says the Twins have reached out to Galarraga and are waiting to hear back. The 30-year-old starter went 0-4 with a 6.75 ERA over five starts for the Astros in 2012, but he could compete for a spot at the back end of the Twins' season-opening rotation if he is signed.

Astros sent RHP Armando Galarraga outright to Triple-A Oklahoma City.

Galarraga posted a 6.75 ERA, 1.91 WHIP and 17/18 K/BB ratio across 24 innings this season with the Astros. He was designated for assignment last week and spent a few days on the free agent market before accepting a job with the Astros' affiliate in Oklahoma.

Armando Galarraga has opted to become a free agent.

Galarraga was designated for assignment earlier in the week by the Astros after posting a 6.75 ERA, 1.91 WHIP and 17/18 K/BB ratio in 24 innings. It's unlikely that he'll draw strong interest on the open market.

Astros designated RHP Armando Galarraga for assignment.

Galarraga was shelled for five runs over just 3 2/3 innings on Sunday against the Diamondbacks. The 30-year-old righty seems doubtful to attract interest on waivers.

Armando Galarraga got roughed up in Sunday's loss to the Diamondbacks, allowing five runs on six hits and two walks in just 3 2/3 innings.

He struck out one, walked two and surrendered a solo home run to Aaron Hill. Galarraga is now 0-4 as an Astro, and has failed to record more than 16 outs in any of his five starts. Through 24 frames, he's sporting a 6.75 ERA, 1.92 WHIP and abysmal 17/18 K/BB ratio. Perhaps the Astros will give someone younger a shot soon.

Armando Galarraga was knocked around by the Cubs Monday, allowing five runs on seven hits and two walks over five innings of work.

It’s another dud of an outing, as Galarraga has failed to go beyond 5 1/3 innings and has put up a 16/16 K/BB ratio over 20 1/3 innings in his four starts since joining the Astros’ rotation. He’ll likely get another shot simply because Houston has no one else to throw out there. The D’Backs are next on the schedule for Galarraga.

Armando Galarraga allowed three runs on six hits in five innings of Wednesday's loss to the Nationals.

He struck out five, walked six and had the misfortune of serving up a two-run homer to his Nationals counterpart, Gio Gonzalez. Galarraga hasn't exactly been electrifying through his first three starts in an Astros uniform, posting a 5.28 ERA, 1.96 WHIP and 14/14 K/BB ratio through 15 1/3 frames, but has been good enough to hold down a rotation spot for what is fast becoming a legendarily bad team.

Armando Galarraga struggled to find the strike zone in Friday's loss to the Braves, walking seven and allowing four runs on five hits in 5 1/3 innings.

Galarraga struck out four in the rough outing. Chipper Jones got the scoring started with a two-run double in the third, and came around to score on an RBI double from Dan Uggla. Martin Prado added an RBI double of his own in the fourth, finishing the damage. Galarraga has posted a 5.23 ERA and 9/8 K/BB ratio over his first two starts, and will look to get in the win column for the first time when he battles the Nationals at home on Wednesday.

Armando Galarraga pitched well in his first start of the season on Saturday, limiting the Pirates to two runs on five hits over five frames in a no-decision.

Galarraga fanned five while walking one in the game. Both of the runs he allowed came courtesy of solo homers, from Alex Presley and Neil Walker. Galarraga was making his first MLB start since May 16 of last season when he was shelled as a member of the Diamondbacks. With the recent departure of Wandy Rodriguez, he'll have a chance to solidify his spot in the rotation with a few more decent outings, though he remains an unattractive option in fantasy leagues. He'll look to have another strong outing when he takes the ball on Friday against the Braves in Atlanta.

Astros purchased the contract of RHP Armando Galarraga from Triple-A Oklahoma City.

Galarraga will start for the Astros on Saturday night against the Pirates. He registered a pedestrian 4.12 ERA and 31/18 K/BB ratio in 43 2/3 innings this season at the Triple-A level and should be ignored in pretty much all fantasy formats.

Armando Galarraga will be called up from Triple-A Oklahoma City to start Saturday against the Pirates.

Galarraga will take the rotation spot of Wandy Rodriguez, who was traded to the Pirates. Interestingly enough, he'll face Rodriguez on Saturday. Galarraga has a 4.12 ERA and 31/18 K/BB ratio over 43 2/3 innings in nine starts at the Triple-A level this year. He can be avoided in fantasy leagues.
