Kyle Kendrick's struggles continued on Sunday against the Braves, as he allowed six runs over five innings en route to his 10th loss of the season.

The Philadelphia Inquirer's Matt Gelb noted that Kendrick's 5.30 ERA over the last calendar year is the worst among any starter who has made at least 30 starts in that span of time. The Braves logged five hits, but made them count, as two of them were doubles and one was a Chris Johnson two-run home run. Kendrick also walked two and struck out one. He'll take a 4.87 ERA, 1.35 WHIP, and 77/35 K/BB ratio into Friday's home start against the Diamondbacks.

Following that, the right-hander now has an 11.50 ERA in 18 first innings this season. Overall, Kendrick surrendered 11 hits, walked two, and struck out two. Kendrick will take a 4.46 ERA, a 1.37 WHIP, and a 71/33 K/BB ratio into Sunday's home start against the Nationals to wrap up the first half.

Kendrick surrendered stray runs in the third and fifth innings, but was overall solid, allowing six hits and a walk while striking out four. While he hasn't been a great mixed league option, Kendrick has been decent for the Phillies, posting a 4.12 ERA, a 1.33 WHIP, and a 69/31 K/BB ratio over 17 starts. He'll take on the Brewers on the road in his next outing.

Kendrick has quietly turned his season around. His ERA hovered in the low- to mid-4.00's for the last couple weeks, but Tuesday's outing lowered it to 3.97. He allowed six hits, walked one, and struck out six -- the most he's struck out in a start since April 13. Kendrick will face the Cardinals on the road in his next outing.
Jun 17 - 10:46 PM

Kyle Kendrick yielded two runs -- one earned -- in six innings against the Padres on Thursday to win for just the second time this year.

Kendrick is 2-1 with a 2.84 ERA when he doesn't allow a homer this year. Unfortunately, that's just four of his 13 starts, though. Jun 12 - 4:46 PM

Kyle Kendrick was charged with four runs over seven innings in Thursday's loss to the Nationals.

Kendrick was uncharacteristically wild, walking a season-high five. He gave up just six hits, but one of them was a big two-run homer to Adam LaRoche in the fifth inning. Now sporting a 4.30 on the season, Kendrick will try to bounce back next week against the Padres.
Jun 5 - 7:02 PM

May 31 - 6:55 PM

Kyle Kendrick pitched 6 2/3 innings and combined with three relievers on a shutout of the Rockies on Monday.

Kendrick allowed six hits and walked four, but he was able to strand all of the runners. Two double plays, one coming on a liner, helped out there. It was Kendrick's first victory after five losses this season. He has a respectable 4.04 ERA, but he's not much of a fantasy starter right now.

Overall, he allowed four hits and a walk while striking out five.
