Brad Lincoln has elected free agency.
The 30-year-old right-hander spent the entire 2015 season toiling at Triple-A Indianapolis where he posted a 4.18 ERA, 1.67 WHIP and 57/41 K/BB ratio over 60 1/3 innings. He'll look to score a minor league deal with a spring training invitation elsewhere this winter. Sat, Nov 7, 2015 12:08:00 PM

Pirates signed RHP Brad Lincoln to a minor league contract.

Lincoln was drafted by the Pirates and made it up to the majors with them before being dealt to the Blue Jays for Travis Snider in 2012. He was a disappointment in Toronto before the Jays traded him to the Phillies last winter. Although Lincoln has fallen on hard times the last couple years, the Pirates feel the 29-year-old still has some ability left.

Phillies sent RHP Brad Lincoln outright to Triple-A Lehigh Valley.

Phillies acquired RHP Brad Lincoln from the Blue Jays for C Erik Kratz and LHP Rob Rasmussen.

Lincoln was a big disappointment after landing with the Jays at the 2012 trade deadline, posting a 4.77 ERA and 1.48 WHIP over 46 appearances. He flashed promise in his days with the Pirates, though, and the Phillies are hoping he'll regain that form. He'll work in middle relief.

Blue Jays optioned RHP Brad Lincoln to Triple-A Buffalo.

Lincoln has struggled in the Blue Jays bullpen this season, including allowing a pair of runs on four hits in just 1 1/3 innings on Friday. He'll head down to the minor leagues for a week or so, but will almost assuredly return when rosters expand in September.

Blue Jays recalled RHP Brad Lincoln from Triple-A Buffalo.

Lincoln will provide bullpen depth after Todd Redmond lasted just 3 2/3 innings in Sunday's loss to the Angels. The 28-year-old right-hander returns to a 4.15 ERA over 13 appearances at the major league level.

Blue Jays optioned RHP Brad Lincoln to Triple-A Buffalo.

The club has decided to keep Justin Germano around rather than Lincoln. The righty allowed two runs and suffered the loss in Friday's defeat. He should be back later this summer.

Blue Jays optioned RHP Brad Lincoln to Triple-A Buffalo.

Lincoln was on track to claim a spot in the Blue Jays' Opening Day bullpen, but he came down with some shoulder inflammation this weekend and probably won't be ready for the start of the season. The right-hander should see time in the majors at some point this year.

Blue Jays manager John Gibbons said that Brad Lincoln is back in the picture for a possible bullpen spot.

The Jays originally intended to put Lincoln in the Triple-A rotation, but it sounds like they've determined he can help them now as a reliever. Lincoln struggled out of the bullpen for the Jays last year after coming over from the Pirates, but he still has some upside in relief.

Brad Lincoln was tagged for four runs in two-thirds of an inning by the Astros in his start Wednesday.

Lincoln took a big step forward after being shifted to the pen by the Pirates last year, but the Jays have decided to take another look at him as a starter this spring. That means he's probably Triple-A bound; there's simply no room for him in the rotation and the last couple of bullpen spots on the Jays could go to guys out of options.

The Blue Jays will stretch out Brad Lincoln during spring training.

It's mostly just as insurance in case they have a couple injuries, as he'd be in line to serve as the "seventh starter." Lincoln struggled out of the bullpen for the Jays after coming over from the Pirates, but he still has some upside as a reliever.

Blue Jays acquired RHP Brad Lincoln from Pirates for OF Travis Snider.

Lincoln really found his niche in the bullpen this season, posting a solid 2.73 ERA and 60/14 K/BB ratio over 59 1/3 innings. There was some thought that the Blue Jays would give the 27-year-old another chance as a starter, but they intend to keep him in a set-up role.
