Making his Diamondbacks debut, Adam Rosales went 2-for-5 with a pair of RBI in Tuesday's loss to the Cubs.
Rosales actually batted third for some reason, and it looked smart for at least one day with the utility player notching an RBI double and RBI single. He will draw some starts while Ketel Marte is on the bereavement list but shouldn't be owned in fantasy. Aug 1 - 11:42 PM

Diamondbacks acquired INF Adam Rosales from the Athletics for RHP Jeferson Mejia.

The Diamondbacks were in serious need of infield depth with Chris Owings and Nick Ahmed injured and Ketel Marte away from the team, so Rosales fills a need. The 34-year-old was batting .234/.273/.346 with four homers and 27 RBI over 71 games with Oakland.
Jul 31 - 1:36 PM

Adam Rosales launched his fourth home run of the season on Sunday, helping to power the Athletics to a 5-3 victory over the White Sox in Chicago.

Rosales tagged White Sox' closer David Robertson for his solo shot leading off the ninth inning. He finished the day 1-for-4 and is now hitting .235/.26/.355 with four long balls and 23 RBI on the season.
Jun 25 - 5:58 PM

Adam Rosales took Yu Darvish deep with a two-run homer in Tuesday's win over the Rangers.

Darvish was cruising along before suddenly falling apart in the sixth, with Rosales providing the big blow when he hit one over the left field wall. It was the first longball of the season for Rosales, who's hitting .316/.350/.526 in the early going. He'll be the A's main shortstop for a while with Marcus Semien (wrist) out, but Rosales doesn't have fantasy value.
Apr 19 - 1:06 AM

Adam Rosales is dealing with a minor shoulder injury.

As a result, he'll play in a minor league game Friday instead of a Cactus League action. Rosales should be fine.
Mar 24 - 1:27 PM

Athletics signed INF Adam Rosales to a one-year, $1.25 million contract.

It's a homecoming for Rosales, who appeared in 197 games with the A's from 2010-2013. The 33-year-old posted career-highs with 13 homers and an .814 OPS over 105 games with the Padres last season but figures to serve in a utility role for Oakland.
Jan 25 - 1:13 PM

Adam Rosales went 1-for-3 with a homer and a walk as the Padres came from behind to beat the Giants 4-3 on Sunday afternoon in San Diego.

Rosales tagged Giants starter Ty Blach for a solo shot in the third inning, pulling the Padres to within a run at 3-2. The lefty-mashing utility man has been on a tear as of late and is now slashing .232/.322/.502 with 13 long balls and 35 RBI on the season.

Adam Rosales went 1-for-2 with a two-run home run and four RBI in Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Diamondbacks.

Funky little batting line for Rosales due to the fact that two of his four RBI came via sacrifice flies. His two-run home run in the sixth inning was his 11th of the season. The veteran infielder has homered in two of his last three games and is slashing .233/.323/.485 with 11 homers and 32 RBI over 202 at-bats for the season as a whole.

Adam Rosales clobbered his 10th home run of the season in Sunday's loss to the Rockies.

His solo shot opened the game's scoring in the second inning. Rosales also singled, finishing the afternoon 2-for-4. In a part-time job with the Padres this season, he has slashed .230/.326/.474 with 10 long balls and 28 RBI.

Adam Rosales went 2-for-3 and hit a two-run homer against the Red Sox to account for both Padres runs Monday.

Rosales had hit a career-high nine homers in 185 at-bats this year. He's batting just .222, but his versatility would make him a nice asset if he always showed this kind of power. That he typically hasn't is why he bounces between Triple-A and major league teams around so much.

Adam Rosales led off the home half of the 10th inning with a walk-off home run on Saturday to beat the Reds.

It was his eighth homer of the season in only 146 at-bats. The 33-year-old journeyman is batting only .212 this year, primarily as a pinch-hitter who starts once a week or so. His playing time might receive a slight boost as the Padres sell off players at the trade deadline.
Sun, Jul 31, 2016 12:20:00 AM

Padres purchased the contract of INF Adam Rosales from Triple-A El Paso.

Rosales has won a spot as the Padres' utility infielder. Josh Martin was designated for assignment to clear a spot on the 40-man roster.
Sun, Apr 3, 2016 02:39:00 PM

Adam Rosales hit his third home run of the spring in Wednesday's win over the Mariners.

Rosales clubbed his two-run homer off of Tony Zych in the seventh inning. With the three spring dingers, he has now matched his 2015 regular season total. The world works in mysterious ways. These kinds of power surges shouldn't be expected, though. The Padres signed him to a minor league contract in early January and there is no fantasy gold here, even in deeper NL-only formats.

Adam Rosales made the most of his lone at-bat on Friday, delivering an RBI double off Peter Moylan in the eighth inning that broke a 1-1 tie and led the Padres to a 3-1 victory in Cactus League play.

Rosales, in camp as a non-roster invitee, made a terrific impression on Friday in his quest to earn a spot on the Padres' Opening Day roster. Even if he does earn a job as a utility infielder though, his fantasy value would be minimal, even in NL-only formats.
Sat, Mar 5, 2016 12:26:00 AM

Padres signed INF Adam Rosales to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training.

Rosales, 32, is a career .227/.294/.342 hitter over parts of eight seasons and has made starts at every infield position and also left field. He should have a decent shot to crack the Opening Day roster as a utility player.
