Rosales tagged Giants starter Ty Blach for a solo shot in the third inning, pulling the Padres to within a run at 3-2. The lefty-mashing utility man has been on a tear as of late and is now slashing .232/.322/.502 with 13 long balls and 35 RBI on the season. Sep 25 - 8:51 PM

Adam Rosales went 1-for-2 with a two-run home run and four RBI in Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Diamondbacks.

Funky little batting line for Rosales due to the fact that two of his four RBI came via sacrifice flies. His two-run home run in the sixth inning was his 11th of the season. The veteran infielder has homered in two of his last three games and is slashing .233/.323/.485 with 11 homers and 32 RBI over 202 at-bats for the season as a whole.

Adam Rosales clobbered his 10th home run of the season in Sunday's loss to the Rockies.

His solo shot opened the game's scoring in the second inning. Rosales also singled, finishing the afternoon 2-for-4. In a part-time job with the Padres this season, he has slashed .230/.326/.474 with 10 long balls and 28 RBI.
Sep 18 - 7:32 PM

Adam Rosales went 2-for-3 and hit a two-run homer against the Red Sox to account for both Padres runs Monday.

Rosales had hit a career-high nine homers in 185 at-bats this year. He's batting just .222, but his versatility would make him a nice asset if he always showed this kind of power. That he typically hasn't is why he bounces between Triple-A and major league teams around so much.
Sep 5 - 8:38 PM

Adam Rosales led off the home half of the 10th inning with a walk-off home run on Saturday to beat the Reds.

It was his eighth homer of the season in only 146 at-bats. The 33-year-old journeyman is batting only .212 this year, primarily as a pinch-hitter who starts once a week or so. His playing time might receive a slight boost as the Padres sell off players at the trade deadline.
Jul 31 - 12:20 AM

Padres purchased the contract of INF Adam Rosales from Triple-A El Paso.

Rosales has won a spot as the Padres' utility infielder. Josh Martin was designated for assignment to clear a spot on the 40-man roster.
Apr 3 - 2:39 PM

Adam Rosales hit his third home run of the spring in Wednesday's win over the Mariners.

Rosales clubbed his two-run homer off of Tony Zych in the seventh inning. With the three spring dingers, he has now matched his 2015 regular season total. The world works in mysterious ways. These kinds of power surges shouldn't be expected, though. The Padres signed him to a minor league contract in early January and there is no fantasy gold here, even in deeper NL-only formats.
Mar 30 - 6:30 PM

Adam Rosales made the most of his lone at-bat on Friday, delivering an RBI double off Peter Moylan in the eighth inning that broke a 1-1 tie and led the Padres to a 3-1 victory in Cactus League play.

Rosales, in camp as a non-roster invitee, made a terrific impression on Friday in his quest to earn a spot on the Padres' Opening Day roster. Even if he does earn a job as a utility infielder though, his fantasy value would be minimal, even in NL-only formats.
Mar 5 - 12:26 AM

Padres signed INF Adam Rosales to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training.

Rosales, 32, is a career .227/.294/.342 hitter over parts of eight seasons and has made starts at every infield position and also left field. He should have a decent shot to crack the Opening Day roster as a utility player.
Jan 8 - 3:27 PM

Adam Rosales has elected free agency.

Rosales was optioned to Triple-A Round Rock after clearing waivers but refused his minor league assignment. He played a utility role for Texas, starting games at left field, first base, second base and third. The 32-year-old is a .227 career hitter across 430 major league appearances.

Rangers designated INF Adam Rosales for assignment.

Rosales has hit only .228/.296/.342 across 55 contests with the Rangers this season. Hanser Alberto is taking his spot on the roster.

Adam Rosales went 4-for-4 with four singles in Saturday's win over the Red Sox.

As a team, the Rangers racked up 13 hits, and Rosales did his part with four singles. He also scored two runs in the 8-0 win. With just 69 at-bats, any big hitting game tends to move Rosales' batting line significantly. He's now hitting .246/.307/.391 with three homers and seven RBI. Despite the perfect game, he'll need consistent at-bats before he can be relied upon in deeper AL-only formats.

Adam Rosales blasted a two-run homer on Sunday, powering the Rangers to a 5-2 victory over the Yankees in New York.

It was the second straight start that Rosales has made at second base and he made the most of it, going 2-for-3 plus a walk, though he was caught stealing. Though he's hitting just .214/.279/.375 on the season, he could be interesting in AL-only formats if he's indeed seeing the bulk of playing time at second base.

Rangers re-signed INF Adam Rosales to a one-year, $900,000 contract.

If Rougned Odor is set begin the season as starter, Rosales' signing ultimately allows the Rangers to send Luis Sardinas and Jurickson Profar to the minors for more seasoning. It also might end Ed Lucas' chance of making the team. Rosales, 31, hit .262 with .706 OPS in a smattering of 2014 at-bats. He'll once again back up each infield position.

CBS Sports' Jon Heyman reports that the Rangers have re-signed Adam Rosales to a one-year, $900,000 deal.

Texas non-tendered Rosales in December, but a reunion was inevitable after Rosales found a cold market and Texas couldn't find suitable infield depth. That last issue was pressing, as the Rangers are currently projected to go with 20-year-old Rougned Odor at second, with 21-year-old Luis Sardinas behind him. The 31-year-old Rosales, who will resume utility duties, batted .262 with four homers and a .706 OPS across 56 games last season.
