Mike O'Connor has been suspended 50 games by Major League Baseball for a positive PED test.
O'Connor signed a minor league contract with the Twins back in December but was released in May after posting a 4.86 ERA and 1.74 WHIP across 16 2/3 innings of relief at Triple-A Rochester. The 32-year-old left-hander might struggle to make his way back into affiliated ball. Tue, Jun 25, 2013 05:21:00 PM

Twins signed LHP Mike O'Connor to a minor league contract.

O'Connor posted a 3.73 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 95/28 K/BB ratio in 108 2/3 innings this past summer for the Yankees' Triple-A affiliate. The 32-year-old seems doubtful to get a shot at the MLB level with the Twins.

Yankees signed LHP Mike O'Connor to a minor league contract.

No word on if he'll get an invite to spring training. O'Connor, 31, appeared in nine games with the Mets this season, but spent the majority of the season with Triple-A Buffalo, posting a 5.22 ERA and 66/19 K/BB ratio over 60 1/3 innings. The southpaw will likely function as organizational depth.

Mike O'Connor has filed for free agency.

O'Connor, a lefty, posted a rough 5.22 ERA in 60 1/3 innings this season for Triple-A Buffalo. But he did register a solid 9.8 K/9. Someone will give him a shot.

Mets sent LHP Mike O'Connor outright to Triple-A Buffalo.

The 31-year-old lefty had been designated for assignment earlier this week. O'Connor posted a 5.22 ERA and 9.8 K/9 rate 60 1/3 innings at Buffalo this season and allowed two runs over 6 2/3 innings with Mets.

Mets designated LHP Mike O'Connor for assignment.

He was cleared to make room on the 40-man roster. O'Connor, 31, allowed two runs and posted an 8/3 K/BB ratio over 6 2/3 innings with Mets earlier this season.

Mets optioned LHP Mike O'Connor to Triple-A Buffalo.

O'Connor, 30, posted a 2.70 ERA and 1.20 WHIP in 6 2/3 innings of relief during his one-month stay with the Mets. He should be back in the big leagues eventually. The Mets will announce a corresponding move Friday.

Mets purchased the contract of LHP Mike O'Connor from Triple-A Buffalo.

He'll take the place of Pedro Beato on the active roster. O'Connor, 30, hasn't appeared in the big leagues since 2008 as a member of the Nationals. He had a 3.31 ERA and 15/7 K/BB ratio over his first 16 1/3 innings with the Bisons this season.

Mets re-signed LHP Mike O'Connor to a minor league contract.

O'Connor registered a solid 2.67 ERA and 1.16 WHIP over 70-plus innings this year at the Triple-A level. It's a bit surprising that he never climbed his way to the majors, but he should have a better shot in 2011 now that the Mets know what to expect. He turned 30 at the end of the 2010 season.

According to Adam Rubin of the New York Daily News, the Mets have signed left-hander Mike O'Connor.

We can safely assume it's a minor league deal. O'Connor, 29, didn't play in the major leagues last season, in part because he was hurt, but also because he just isn't very good. O'Connor has a 5.45 ERA in 26 major league appearances (21 starts).

Padres acquired LHP Mike O'Connor from the Nationals for a player to be named later.

O'Connor, 28, hasn't thrown a pitch since last season because of an elbow issue, and it's not yet clear how the Padres plan to use him. He has a 5.45 ERA and a 63/56 K/BB ratio in 114 major league innings, but is likely to get started at Triple-A once he's healthy.

Nationals sent LHP Mike O'Connor outright to Triple-A Syracuse.

O'Connor was a non-factor last season, and he was sent down after just two appearances this spring. Judging from all of the time he spent on the Nationals' 40-man roster to his complete removal from the team's plans now, it seems Jim Bowden was his main backer in the organization.

Nationals recalled LHP Mike O'Connor from Triple-A Columbus.

The 28-year-old O'Connor, who battled arm woes in 2006 and 2007, went 5-3 with a 2.17 ERA in 16 starts in the IL. He was up briefly in May, but he was hit hard in his only start for the Nats. He'll likely spend the rest of the year as a reliever.

Nationals optioned LHP Mike O'Connor to Triple-A Columbus.

This hardly seems like the right way to run a team. O'Connor was called up to join the pen, moved into the rotation two weeks later and is now gone after just one bad start. Jason Bergmann could be brought up to join the rotation later this week.
Sun, May 11, 2008 07:18:00 PM

In his first major league start since 2006, Mike O'Connor gave up nine runs in 3 2/3 innings Saturday against the Marlins.

The Nats bypassed the obvious choice and picked O'Connor over Jason Bergmann to take Matt Chico's rotation spot. Perhaps they'll make another switch now. O'Connor does his best to keep hitters off balance, but he's never had major league stuff.
