According to Darren Wolfson of 1500 ESPN, free agent INF Jack Hannahan has agreed to a $1 million contract with South Korea's LG Twins.
Hannahan could possibly have found himself a minor league deal, as the (Minnesota) Twins were reportedly somewhat interested in him in mid-December, but he instead opted to sign in South Korea. The Twins have checked in on free agent Jack Hannahan, per Darren Wolfson of 1500 ESPN.

Wolfson said the club had interest in Hannahan when he was a free agent two years ago. Hannahan, 34, was limited to 50 plate appearances in 2014 due to shoulder surgery, and the Reds declined his $4 million option for next season. Wolfson guesses the team would be interested in giving Hannahan a minor league deal.

There's no official decision yet, but it's a relatively easy call. Hannahan missed most of 2014 recovering from offseason shoulder surgery and ended up batting .188/.220/.250 over 50 plate appearances. The Reds can buy out the option for $2 million.

Hannahan resumed throwing a week ago and is doing well, but he's being brought along slowly after having a setback in May with his surgically-repaired right shoulder. "It's going good," Hannahan said. "It's been the best it's felt. I'm just kind of going with the throwing program and swinging. This is the best it's felt this go-round." Hannahan isn't close to a rehab assignment and will need 10-14 days' worth of rehab games, so obviously it will be a while before he returns.

"It's been feeling good," said Hannahan. "A lot better this go-around than the last go-around. I'm up to two sessions at 110 feet and it's feeling pretty good." Hannahan added that he needs "to be consistent at 120 [feet] and feeling good and then we'll throw some balls across the diamond." He'll be allowed to hit sometime after that before eventually going out on a rehab assignment.

He's not throwing every day." Working his way back from offseason shoulder surgery, Hannahan will begin the season in extended spring training. There's no timetable for when he'll be activated from the DL.
