Jul 3 - 11:41 AM

Shane Robinson left Wednesday's game against the Reds after being hit on the left elbow by a pitch.

Robinson stayed in to run the bases after being pelted by the Johnny Cueto offering, but he appeared to be in a lot of pain so it's no surprise he eventually exited. It's unclear whether he'll need to have X-rays.

May 12 - 11:59 AM

Twins purchased the contract of OF Shane Robinson from Triple-A Rochester.

Robinson made the Twins' Opening Day roster by going 13-for-46 (.283) in 17 games this spring in the Grapefruit League. The 30-year-old can play all around the outfield defensively, but he's a .231/.303/.308 career hitter at the major league level. There is no fantasy relevance here.
Apr 2 - 3:39 PM

Twins manager Paul Molitor indicated Saturday that Shane Robinson will make the Opening Day roster.

Robinson is expected to platoon in center field with Jordan Schafer to begin the season. The 30-year-old is a career .231/.303/.308 hitter in 402 big league at-bats, so his fantasy value is minimal outside of the deepest AL-only formats.
Mar 28 - 10:41 AM

Twins signed OF Shane Robinson to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training.

The Cardinals released Robinson in mid-November so they could avoid giving him a raise via salary arbitration. The 30-year-old is a good defensive outfielder, but he batted just .231/.303/.308 in five seasons with St. Louis. He'll be organizational outfield depth for Minnesota.

Cardinals released OF Shane Robinson.

Robinson was first-time arbitration eligible this winter, making him an obvious non-tender candidate. With the addition of Jason Heyward, that sealed the 30-year-old's fate. Robinson may be able to find a major league deal to serve as a reserve outfielder elsewhere.

Cardinals activated OF Shane Robinson from the 60-day disabled list.

Robinson was forced to go under the knife in late August to repair a separated left shoulder. The 30-year-old hit a paltry .150/.227/.200 in 60 at-bats with the Cardinals in 2014. He'll head into spring training looking to secure a role as a reserve outfielder.

Cardinals transferred OF Shane Robinson from the 15-day disabled list to the 60-day disabled list.

Robinson underwent season-ending surgery last week to repair his separated left shoulder. He should be ready to compete for a spot on the Cardinals' bench next spring. The utility outfielder is arbitration-eligible for the first time this winter.

Shane Robinson underwent season-ending surgery on Thursday to repair a slightly separated left shoulder.

Robinson injured the shoulder on an awkward slide into second base on Tuesday. His season concludes with an ugly .150/.227/.200 batting line over 47 games. Robinson will be arbitration-eligible for the first time this winter.

Shane Robinson has been diagnosed with a left shoulder subluxation and is expected to fly back to St. Louis in order to be examined further.

Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch says that Robinson "was in serious pain," so a trip to the DL appears to be a given. The outfielder was injured on Monday on an awkward slide into second base.
